  7. They are two totally different cars.....the M35 goes better in stock form(RS260 is quicker though). Depends what you call good value for money.....if I'm spending 30K on a car the M35 is excellent!....if I'm spending 20K on a car the C34 is excellent. The C34 is a lot easier to source parts for. The RS260 has the best resale of them all. There not suppose to have Xenon lights.
  8. lot's....they hate summer for a start....much more so than RB's. FMIC, Nismo thermostat, additional trans cooler, phenolic spacer and regular oil changes should be at the top of your list for mod's...oh and get rid of the cat closest to the turbo ASAP....I reckon half the turbo problems with these are because the cat's 200mm's away from the turbo. Biggest improvements are from getting a decent dump pipe with the exhaust, Suction pipe and FMIC!.....biggest improvement after that should be from the reflash when it happen's.......one of us has a Nismo ECU on the way as well !

Good luck with the bidding....great fun doing it this way....mind you the wait will drive you and your wife insane! 170-180AWKW's is achievable on the standard turbo with steel impellers(so rebuild needs doing)..200AWKW's however you'll need a bigger setup(f#$k all room to do a different turbo) with a whole host of other little bit's as tangent said.....GCG is no good above 400hp from previous experience!
  10. Same thing happened to me on our RB20 but at about 7,600rpm....ended up being pretty messy.....as Duncan said "many people on here would recommend replacing it (and the idler stud) every time the timing belt is done.".....I highly recommend it!

My reasoning for getting the Nismo btw is not because I have given up on SAS.....but is so SAS can a least get a close tune to it....all things being good with the Nismo that is. @KiwiRST4 Haltech....don't get me started ......let's just put it this way....I am sure for some cars they are brilliant(e.g R35 GTR)....but for ours give it a miss. The only way to truly control this motor is through a standalone ECU or a reflash.....piggybacks will not do it....sorry most piggybacks(theres one but it's about $2K) will not do it. p.s. A standalone will not work unless you manualise the gearbox.
  14. Apparently the Nismo ECU is a standard pre-tune program you buy from the shop....no dyno tune to you car needed.....plug and play. From memory it’s got the speed limiter lifted to 250km’s, snow is eco, better throttle response and a slight boost increase, increased rev limit + tune. but then again all the above is not 100%....I guess I wont find out until next week......the one thing I am after is more RPM and better throttle response. good luck finding one......a little birdie told me about this one....there as pretty hard to find......this is only the second on I have had the chance to bid on!

  16. have you checked your ignition barrel.....next time it goes off maybe just jiggle the keys in the barrel......works for my wife's car....her's does the same thing

  21. I tried to pull just the motor out....the f#$king cheap arse screw's stripped the head. If I get time on the weekend I'll angle grind of the tips. btw how much is it costing to get it working? I don't give a shit about the auto up/down anymore....I just want my window to work!
  22. I just want my drivers side window to work full stop got other bit's in the pipeline that are much more important though
  23. The hub bearings are the same part number....maybe the upright is slightly different! Never had the brakes warped on the front of this car but I do get a shudder on left hand sweepers under power.....reckon its the CV's on the LH shaft or steering rack? Need to get it sorted....or maybe just don't turn left....lol.
