  1. ^^^ I would like to see some examples of exhaust figures outflowing intakes ?!...with a smaller valve . what heads are they ?
  2. Dirt , if your trap speed is normally around 148 mph i would say a perfect run would have been a 9.1 ...& the 60ft seems to be on the money. You are very close to the 8 sec barrier & if the car can 60ft even better i would say a 8.9 is on the cards...you seem to be making enough power to do so. Congrats on a very nice car that is also that quick & hope to see you get the elusive 8 sec time card..it wont be to far off ! Im all for keeping it as much a streeter as possible too.
  3. Shanef ,can you elaborate on the powertune gears? are these sh1t ?
  4. ^^ That does look like a material problem...now im a little concerned about my n1 pump.
  5. Very nice..but i would have thought a full gearset in the box over an uprated first gear as a must have option.
  6. F*CK ME !!...that is hands down THE UGLIEST thing i have ever laid eyes on...f*ck i laugh when i see wankers driving cars like this , i just cant believe people actually think that sh1t is cool.
  7. Has anyone here heard of a RRR casting block?...i wanted to know if this is actually a nismo gt block, from the Z-tune r34 gtr . http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-NISSAN-SKYLINE-G...4#ht_500wt_1182
  8. Has anyone heard of a RRR casting block ?....i have seen 05u standard & 24u N1 blocks , but have not seen a RRR casting. Is this the nismo GT block as used in the 2.8 Z-tune r34 gtr ..as the seller is stating ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-NISSAN-SKYLINE-G...4#ht_500wt_1182
  9. ^^ not quite...but still ok. My mates capri feels pretty good i must say...makes my 9.5 feel like a nugget. 1.1 in the 60ft...has now gone 7.34 @ 186....soon to go 6's.
  10. Yeah the passenger side is a c*nt of a job...i took the driveshaft out to access the top nut on the mount also. It took me about 3 hours to do my mounts. 2 jacks, a pair of stands,a bit of 2x3 timber was all that was needed..crane not necessary.
  11. I think it's your v-tec !
  12. ^^ i dont think it will...not for 2k for unscratched or guttered with rubber. Good luck with the search though you might get lucky...or die waiting
  13. ^^ Yep you will clearly see once you take the weight of the engine off the crossmember whether they are f*cked or not...bottom part still attached to crossmember.
  14. Sounds like a weapon !...need pics
  15. buy the nismo mounts...dont get another set of stock ones.
  16. Mate jack up the car and put car stands under the front, now get a piece of 2x3 timber or similar and jack up the passenger side engine mount under the mount bracket that bolts to the engine block. This is the first place i would be looking if i was breaking cv's... i had the same issue of breaking cv's on the driver side & after thinking my mounts were fine they BOTH were found to be f*cked. After speaking to some experienced gtr racers even they said 9 times out of ten ,broken cv's are caused by engine mounts. So i would think to check this first before thinking you should be spacing the shafts out.
  17. Looks like he is continuing his scamming ways...these were only advertised a couple of days ago & i actually sent him an offer, because he had a buy it now price of $400 or a make an offer. I hope pricks like this get the piss beaten out of them. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...alenotsupported
  18. For me protection qualities far outweigh a few kw... in any case the variables could not be kept constant enough not to allow for slight variations...diff oil temp, gearbox oil temp, boost pressure, ambient air temp, the list goes on...vince is a nice bloke but this test means sh1t to me .
  19. I think with nice porting of the runner entry to match ex port diameter & turbine flange, coupled with the black ceramic coating could yield results very close to hks or tomei manifolds.. Im in the process of doing this to mine right now.
  20. $7000 ?...for a head with standard valves,standard springs,standard cams & cam gears..& some porting ? Am i missing something here..
  21. ^^ Yep..thats the correct way to break in an engine properly. All my engines in the past were fired up on the engine dyno...oil temp reached, then start giving it a few pulls under load to 5000rpm..then pull the string and give it everything . Engines leak down perfectly. No way would i be pussy footing around for hundreds or thousands of kays. Start giving it boost & rpm. Motor initially run with penrite mineral oil ..half a dozen full power pulls made..then oil & filter dumped switched to royal purple 10-40,then back into it with full power runs. Only way to do it . And i have seen hundreds of engines dynoed & run this same way..all with the same results.
  22. Hey !.that was my line .. i said he was a dodgy mothf*cker ... ha ha ..good riddance to the c*nt for trying to fu*k everyone over.
  23. Australia is f*cking out of control...jesus ,whats next ffs ! I still find it hard to believe that these idiot politicians actually believe that by banning ads like these are actually going to make a positive difference to reducing the road toll,or "hoon" behaviour. Trouble is when it comes time to vote...who do we vote for ? ...they are ALL f*ckwits . decisions, decisions.
  24. Just put an air shifted g-force box in it..at least you can still say its manual and you wont have to worry about sorting out converters..
