  1. That looks really good. What size are those wastegates? Would love to see a picture of the completed setup too (if you can)
  2. how heavy are these compare to the rb25 or rb25 with ppg gearbox?
  3. I've got a vspec r32 in SA. Can tow it up there with the next trip. Car last registered a year ago and had most of the dead weight removed. Nil accident history.
  4. I am after the U shape hose on top of the RB26 rocker cover. If you have one lying around and still in good nick could you drop me a pm please?
  5. I can't wait to get the car back so we can finish installing the rest of the aero. The other black car was sent to Topstage in Victoria as a dummy a few months ago to get some carbon fiber aeroparts to help get some more grip out of this old girl. Freddy is a highly recommended and a top bloke to work with. We managed to get these parts ready just a few days before WTAC. Unfortunately we did not finish the wiring in time before WTAC 2012 because the electrician developed gout. I was away and did not get a chance to jab him with something for the gout so he can keep working on the car lol Anyway here are some of Topstage good work...there are a few more that I have not got picture yet...all of which I cant wait to put on the car when I get it back soon hopefully. I like the oem factory bumper look, which is probably not the most drag efficient shape but this car is not built to be driven by a pro....and "in theory" should generate a bit more downforce with less efficient air flow over the top...which is what this mere mortal need anyway ^_^ Freddy designed these parts for me The finished products The front fiberglass fenders that were prepared in Adelaide were also cf to save a few more kg lol Test fitting
  6. I had a bit of time to tidy up the shed this weekend, now that the car is at Willall getting ready for a tune, and boxed a few things from the drag car. Had a chance to put these things on the scale Front carbon rotor Front Strange caliper with dog bracket and bolts Rear caliper + bracket + bolts the rear carbon rotors + the hat which is a one piece cnc drum+hat is on my other r32 so I could not take a picture. All up is only 9.4kg so far lol ^_^ It has been certainly sad to see so much of the engineering on this car removed but it's a must for circuit work (and my budget). I wish I have the budget to use the cf brake system for the circuit but it would be a lot of $$$$ to replace.
  7. Thanks Andrew. It will be good to see those. It will be a sweet walk in the memory lane for sure. Yes I will definitely try to bring it to AIR for a few runs before I go crazy with weight reduction in the subframes and circuit suspension bits. Currently it is built for all purposes; drag, motorkhana, hill climb and circuit. However I think when (or if) I go ahead with tube subframes and new suspension geometry, it's drag day will be over because those parts wont surive the 9krpm clutch dump lol BTW the car is heading to Willall today for a few final things then dyno next week or two. I will try to snap up some progress pics. It will be good to catch up soon mate.
  8. Yes I do Matt. I have the front and rear sets with carbon discs and pads and a set of brand new spare cf rotors I intend to sell them with the other parts when I complete this project but please drop me a pm if you are keen now. Thanks mate.
  9. Brad, can you let me know when you restock the "half moons" ? Thanks
  10. WTB front driver side R32 gtr driveshaft. Please email [email protected] if you have a spare one lying around.
  11. As per title. Preferably in SA but will acoomodate interstate seller.
  12. Yes he's helping me to hook up the hoses from the oil pump to the tank in the rear boot and the fuel lines to the rails+ pumps while it's at the painter. It's hard to bring the car home and just work on it for a day or two to finish off things when it's goes everywhere to get other things done and to fit it into other people schedules. Thanks for helping out Matt. I am going to be tight for time getting it ready for superlap....and this project started ages ago.
  13. The vents arrived today... the fenders will get finished this week Car is etch primed...ready for some colour inside
  14. Jenkies, I heard your is a real beast as well mate. Mike, get your 33 going mate....that will be an epic as well. Andrew, it will be good to get some lap time again. It's been a long time. I got to steal some secret or your race line soon mate
  15. I am looking at chrome wrapping the race car. Jenkies and Nightcrawlers, you guys got pm's. Are there any other recommendation? Thanks in advance.
  16. Thanks mate. I ordered one. Will see how long it will last.
  17. Ah sorry, that was a different build by the same group. Both cars looks similar
  18. Yes I saw that thread recently. After fixing on the idea of putting up the radiator I googled around for Garage Saurus and found that thread. I don't like the way they routed their air intake and exit. If you also read carefully they ran into problem with the 2 electric water pump...^_* I rather still stick with one mechanical pump as one of the fail safe methods The only thing I want from that car is the rear chromoly subframe. The front looks iffy. Oh the electric power steering pump is sweet too
  19. I am in the process of moving my radiator to the rear for my track car, to give the car some more room in the engine bay. I will probably keep the factory pump, as a fail safe, and add another one in the rear to assist with flow. I have not had much experience with these pump. Hear some good and bad news about Davies Craig. Is this EWP115 Alloy (12V) Part No: 8040 pump any good? What is the best water pump to use? Thanks again
  20. I am sorry that I have not had much time to post the progresses. I have been so frantically organising and installing things to get this car ready for WTAC. I am not sure if it will meet the deadline because of a couple of hiccups and my busy work schedule. Here are a couple of camera phones to keep everyone posted. Will do proper summary later on Engine bay with the undercoat. Kim did a really good job...keep telling him it's not a show car lol I ams sure he added tons of bogs Then Peter finished it off with gun metal colour in engine bay and boot...really good quality painting I installed engine and gearbox at a mate's workshop with help from a couple more mates They then snapped a picture of me with the new engine bay lol Some more fabrication work, which has costed a bomb. I should have learn how to tig weld before this project Off to a full time panel beater and painter because my other mates have full time jobs and can only help after hours. Aero and fitment touches on the front fenders Still a bit more to do but getting there I will post some more pics when the project is finished. Hopefully it will make it to Superlap. I don't think we will have any testing time. I am not expecting any crazy fast time because I will be driving it....which is something that I have not done for at least 3 years It will be a good track for shakedown Trying my best to make it happen.
  21. Brad, does the Peterson require a scavenging manifold? I have seen a lot of cars without one but my mechanic told me to ask Peterson to be sure. I called up the distributor in Aus and they were like...hm go and ask someone else. I am waiting for a reply from Peterson in the US.
