I've got a pro78 and that picked up a multanova from behind as well.. and it wasn't even mounted on the windscreen, was sitting on the passenger seat! didn't realise that was actually possible...

I've got a FMIC which they didn't have a problem with. I imagine if it wasn't installed very well and parts of your front bar have been cut then they might have a problem with it. If there are obvious problems with the car then they'd pull you up about them, but each time I went back they just checked the items on the list and took all of 5 mins. It's really dependent on the inspector unfortunately...

emu is good for mild mods, but once you start using bigger injectors and pushing more air through there are problems. Apparently doesn't like injectors that are more than 50% bigger than standard, and I don't think it supports larger AFMs (was told it converts it back to the stock AFM resolution) Really depends on what you're intending on doing to the car and how it'll be driven.. Motec and Haltec units may have features you'd never use and would probably be a waste of money. New ViPEC ecu may be an option, might be out of your price range though.

Amazing.. what I'd give to get just one ride in that car.. I guess it'd work pretty well on the street considering it'd never really hit boost. wonder if it'd ever get traction for a quarter though...

I got a half respray including roof and taking the bonnet back to bare metal for around 3 grand I think, through insurance. It'll depend what panels you need done and if you want proper blending... My spray job wasn't amazing/show car finish, so for a grand you'd have to be doing most of the work yourself.

I did that advanced/defensive driving course using one of their cars.. I honestly thought it sucked.. one of the most boring days of my life. Felt like a concentration camp for bad drivers after every one was lectured for about 3 hours when a few people said they enjoyed 'spirited' driving on public roads. So as long as you don't have to sit through that for hours then it might be ok. Maybe thats just me though...
