  2. Anyone interested in buying a Canon EOS 300D camera in Japan should know that they are known as the "Canon EOS Digital Kiss" camera and cost about 110,000y and up for the body+lens kit. Or from 90,000y and up for just the digital body. This is about $1100 - $1400 AUD as opposed to $2000RRP.
  3. worst idea ever!
  4. Einstein! Im quite aware of this.
  5. Thanks DCD I will quote some good info from that thread:
  6. what ever happened to that front bar you had at the panel beaters dude?
  7. The powerFC itself was making a clicking sound? Do you have the hand controller? Remember that by default the PowerFC has a boost controller setting set to "Yes" and will not start without the boost controller plugged in. You need to turn that option off on the Hand controller. If the powerFC is clicking thats probably bad, is it brand new?
  8. 250 is a bargain. these arent toy cars boys. theyre the real deal and it costs $$.
  9. My car is slow in this damn heat.
  10. I have done the same. At the moment I am using a twin tip stainless straight through muffler from JustJap. 3" inlet and dual 2" outlet. Looks quite stock but sounds very nice. I hope the appearance will make the car look a bit different to the average skyline and perhaps attract less attention. Total cost $175 (after SAU membership discount)
  11. I cant see how a straight through piece of 3" pipe made in Japan can flow better than a 3" piece of pipe made in your local exhaust shop? My exhaust is custom built by a local mob and cost less than $400 for the cat back system including resonator. The whole system is 3" all mandrel bent and looks like jap systems. Its just a glorified pipe. The muffler makes a difference but anyone can flange your exhaust to enable you to change mufflers at any time. Sorry guys even commodores do this.
  12. More amusing is the R34 with the RB20DE. It just looks so... awkward.
  13. I meant that towards the people thinking the RB20E was a transplant. Besides if you are familiar with Skylines you can quite clearly see the PS resevoir as well as the AC/Climate control setup in the pics. The remarks on that site are usually wrong in that section.
  14. Ill be travelling as far North as Sapporo on Hokkaido, hugging the east coast mainly, then south to Shikoku via Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Okayama ... not 100% sure of exact dates and times yet though. Let me know if you'll be near!
  15. Hey guys, im spending about 6hrs out of ever working day doing research while i should be working so have answered a couple of my own Q's too so ill post the info I have for those who find this thread in the future: - I'll be purchasing a 14 day JR pass which i've been told should cover 95% of my train travel around Japan. Including Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hokkaido and Shikoku. - Rezz I will be travelling thru Kobe. I will let you know what day and we should have a beer somewhere local to you. - There are actually 2 "Prince and Skyline Museum"s: - The first one (Redpark) is near to Tokyo, you take the subway to Ueno then a local train to Mitsukaido, it is close to the station there. I can easily make it to this one. - The other one is in Suwa which is close to Nagano which is a fair way North West of Tokyo. I may not find the time to make it to Nagano unfortunatly - I found Sado Island on the map, off the coast of Niigata. I probably wont get any time to visit it though unless you highly recommend it. If thats the case we could make arrangements to check it out. - there is a company called Nissan Rent-A-Car but I dont know if I will bother renting a car in Tokyo. I will try to once I reach Hokkaido/Sapporo but dont like my chances of the V35
  16. Sell me your original MSpec front bar.
  17. I cant believe how unfamiliar with Skylines some of the "enthusiasts" are here. And quite clearly you can see in the pictures that it does have climate control/aircon and power steering. For 120,000y it would be good to part out here. Of course the govt wont let you.
  18. I was looking to pay $250 or so. I know you were selling yours but once I add postage on top of the price you wanted it was really exxy. Yours is cut for the FMIC making it worth more since its a professional job, i just dont need that so i cant really justify spending for it. If you have another one uncut let me know
  19. Thought so Jimbo. Would like to get pics of it for the collection.
  20. Get some pics of it.
  21. I still have a stock exhaust for sale. $150. I dont want it back though. I also have a stock airbox but it has no snorkel.
  22. Saw that video a long time ago, didnt know where it was from though.
  23. oh yeah. I plan on spending a day in Akihabara, did anyone catch the local price for a Canon EOS 300D camera by any chance? Or maybe the new mini iPod or creative nomad Zens ?
  24. Sweet. I sent you an email Blitz. Turns out the apartment is in Chiba so thats even better.I have a map to Chiba Super Autobacs but Crystal > autobacs. I looked at a map and Chiba is about 30 something km from Tokyo. How long does it take by Shinkansen?
  25. Dude what/where is Crystal? I am going to be in Japan (flying into Tokyo, staying in Chiba) in March and am looking for leads on where to go to shop
