  1. Nah noone here likes Skylines. You should import Mitsubishis. Seriously though, put me down for 1 R34 GTR at 70k. Ill take his first RAWS car if he needs a buyer
  2. Yes its true that mistakes make no difference to the fact that a person is guilty of speeding but it can help the fine fall through the cracks. About 6 years or so ago I was fined for exceeding the speed limit by a good deal, about 30+ i think it was a bit over 100 in a 70 zone. I had just bought my new car at the time (hail the Daewoo) so was a bit new to it. The officer was quite calm and I asked him what happens now and he informed me the fine would be $500 and 1 or 3 months license suspension. :ohnoes: I was about to beg or plead for a lighter sentence but I noticed that he had incorrectly written my license plate number on the ticket. I thought maybe I could get off in court on a technicality. So anyway I did what we all do and waited for the second notice to arrive in the mail. It never came. Nor did the license suspension mail. Nor did the points (4 i think) arrive on my license. I was lucky And i never sped again! True story.
  3. it may just be a gtst but its a 40th anniversary 98 isnt it? which means it should be quite different to the rest of the GTS25t cars out there. I wouldnt mind a look under the bonnet
  4. Im in! sorry for the late notice
  5. trident: lets see some pics of your 98 GTSt.
  6. Import a Silvia. Theres a 1.8l NA model on Prestige's list right now for $5600
  7. Yes there are, www.skylineowners.com, www.gtr.co.uk, the UK has plenty! Skylines are pretty cheap over there too from what I read. Are you talking 400hp at the flywheel or rear wheels? 400rwhp (300rwkw) is possible just not with the stock turbo and the engine will not last long on stock internals. You would want to strengthen the internals. Read around on here for more information. Ive never done it so i dont know. Fuel consumption is pretty average I suppose, my fuel gauge is sitting on the line just before E and ive done 370km for this tank. Lots of WOT though. Handles great. I dont know what you mean by "does the RWD still handle great"? Didnt anyone tell you? RWD has always been the best Whether parts are expensive or not is up to your local scene. I find parts to be fairly expensive compared to say a Aussie made car but cheap compared to other imports. I buy a lot of stuff off the forums though and its a bit cheaper that way. I service mine every 3 months or every 5000km whichever comes first. It really depends on how much and how you drive it. Also depends on what fluids you are using etc. I could probably do it less regularly but I like doing it so...
  8. In Soviet Union, car imports you!
  9. welcome back. What do you want for the drivers side sun visor. Is it still there? ill give you $10 plus post
  10. heya Anyone know any places in Sydney who will sandblast and maybe even powdercoat something small. The mesh in my grill (factory red S grill) has suffered some peeling paint and as such has some rust spots. I have removed the mesh and it seems worth salvaging as opposed to simply replacing. Would anyone be able to clean it up and repaint it fairly cheap? Cant sand it really as its mesh and awkward.
  11. my 12" sony in a sony enclosed box sounds quite punchy. If anyone is familiar with Deftones - Digital Bath song, it sounds fricken awesome on this sub, the bass drum is reproduced so well. That is a really good song to show of the audio with.
  12. What do you want to attract attention for? Not getting enough defects as it is? You will just end up in dramas.
  13. The points you earned at the time of that offence expire 3 years from the offence. If you get more points, those new points expire 3 year from the date of that offence. The points you have now expire in 3 years irrespective of what other offences you commit after getting them.
  14. Indicators are not required. Colour and condition isnt terribly important as I would respray it.
  15. Anyone else have one for sale?
  16. Brasso works best.
  17. To make ASCII pics look nice, use the tags
  18. From the factory the GTS25t Active LSD Specification came with 205/55R16 on the front and 225/50R16 on the back. The factory does it, and its fine.
  19. 1. The relay noise may be the Japanese 110km/h ding warning that many cars have. I believe this gets disabled on many imports.
  20. They keep people in jobs and those people pay income tax. Not to be confused with the companies themselves who's creative accounting and offshore ownership mean they dont actually owe the government any money for tax and in fact that the government must pay them for the pleasure of operating at a financial "loss".
  21. Keep us posted on how the insurance claim goes. What exactly is their problem with where it was stolen from?
  22. My fairly stock car will induce those "oh shit" moments with 18x9 rubber when theyre cold. I just have to keep reminding myself to drive overly sensible in the cold mornings. I often wonder what other motorists see when I accelerate to overtake or get into another lane and the tail flicks around. I wonder if they think - "that guy's lost it" or if they can even tell.
  23. I got a 12month warranty when I bought my car. About 2 months into owning the car i just threw the book away. F'd if I'm going to abide by their conditions if they are not going to do anything for me. I did use their "roadside assistance" once when I had a flat battery. By the time the bloke turned up I had WALKED to an auto-electrician and bought a new battery and walked back home...
  24. Well I have too been learning Japanese lately, both to speak and to read and write. My girlfriend is fluent in Japanese and being from Taiwan the written language is basically her first language, I plan on going there and hopefully falling in love with the place as you guys have
  25. i think i saw it yesterday on my trip to wollongong
