    Anyone ever re-gassed their boot hinge struts? I found a set of cheap boot hinges with struts the other day but passed them up since I know its sometimes possible to regas these. My boot does not close gracefully and I would prefer it too. Anyone know anywhere to do it. I'm about to go search the yellow pages and google.

    They come in a few flavours, 2 litre and 2.5 litre (GTS and GTS25) as well as RWD and AWD (GTS4). I would steer away from the GTS.

    Well what you should do is clean it up properly, weld it back together, grind the weld back and dress it with putty then respray the panel. Or get a panel beater to do it for you.

    Yeah its "easier" to splice into the wire AFTER its through the firewall. But finding that wire is bit tricky. You could use a continuity tester or just try and follow the colour coding.

    You will need some Tarzans Grip for the rears i think! And an angle grinder to remove them...

    O2 Sensor sticks out of the exhaust/dump pipe close to the turbo. Easy to spot, has a wire coming out the back of it.

    They aren't exactly going to post "i found other oils to be cheaper and just as good" on their own website are they. Do you work for redline?

    The badges are available new from Nissan. You can also buy them from JustJap for about $45 each. The JustJap ones are also brand new in plastic ready to go.

    $100 for 3.7l of engine oil. You have got to be kidding. Unless it has liquid gold as an additive it simply is not worth it. There are plenty of mainstream oils that suit the car just as well and cost almost half as much. I use redline for the gearbox and it is good but its not miracle oil.

    Heatwrap the dump pipe. If you have a cheap mild steel dump pipe who cares if it dies after 2 years. Just buy another one!

    Look around the forums for someone selling one second hand. Use the phone and ring some Australian wreckers, UAS, JustJap, etc. Talk to some of the very many Jap parts importers around these days. Talk to supra man on these forums, try Nengun, Greenline, etc. Hope that helps.
