  1. heat wrapping the dump pipe is a very good idea. Ask Sydneykid, he heatwraps everything.
  2. Sounds like you are missing the original key. I think nissan would probably be able to replace it but at a cost.
  3. Find a front-cut leftover and you should be able to get what you need.
  4. On my car the PowerFC would only fail to start if the boost controller setting was incorrectly set to On.
  5. hey you're 16, you've got a Skyline, you're doing ok so far, just slow down when you type and spell a bit better and there's hope for you yet! Heres the wiring courtesy of RB20_4valve who posted it the other day: red = key off yellow = key on blue = acc or IG2 black = body/ground brown = brake switch orange = no use The word you are looking for by the way is "harness" and I dont know if there is one available.
  6. I would like a Series 1 option front bar. This is commonly called the type-M front bar and most S1 skylines seem to have it. Attached is a picture. Im in Sydney but would organise shipping from anywhere. Thanks
  7. Try [email protected] from http://www.jap.com.au/ he has some for sale.
  8. A bunch of my collegues from the Virginia office in the U.S have G35 coupes and and one has the sedan. I have been in the sedan as it was driven hard to the redline and it was pretty sweet. Its not like driving a turbo car but its still meaty. Im guessing the JDM version is better again. If we could get them here I would be considering one as well (coupe).
  9. Thanks for that dude. Really appreciate it!
  10. Yeah. Either replace it with a cheap one or take it out and get it repaired at any instrument repair place for about $90. Look up odometer/instrument repairs in the yellow pages.
  11. i still prefer the miata in the drift. i am doing 80,000 point combos. entire laps. its awesome.
  12. He needs a S2 front bar support or photos of one. Anyone got some pics?
  13. Midnight purple pearl is nice. And it was a factory colour for late 98 model GTS25t Type-MR's I only found this out today.
  14. Woah. Those knock levels are very good.
  15. with the hot weather, maybe 9 or 10 max
  16. FastFours. They're just kids, let them live in their make believe world.
  17. If you are really pissed off you need to go down to the local police station and file a report there. From there it should get escalated to the federal police but the guys are pretty busy these days. If you just want to report this as an online crime, visit the AHTCC (Australian High Tech Computer Crime) website: www.ahtcc.gov.au website and grab the crime reporting form.
  18. I have the same front bar. It is the stock standard bar. I believe the purchaser of my car was a tight ass as it has no options at all. I would not bother looking for/buying a factory Type-M bar as they can be difficult to find and expensive and they do not improve things that much. For a little bit more money you're looking at an aftermarket bar. Of course the factory Type-M bar does have its good points: - Factory item - Not defectable - A bit more airflow - Better looks that current one - Not fiberglass - Does not need fiddling around to fit - May already be factory painted in your colour heres a pic of my stock bar on my car.
  19. Heh. If it's 65litres that means I still had 10 litres left even though my needle was below empty last night and my fuel light was on. And I was worried! pfft!
  20. The A34 Maxima is still FWD.
  21. That looks like a S2 GTSt but i could be wrong.
  22. The difference are, as stated, a different plate, different plug. On top of those two differences the Series 1 AFM element does not reach all the way accross the opening.
  23. I realised very quickly that aftermarket warranty is worth far less than the paper it is printed on. What kind of warranty do you have that is worth all of this drama?
  24. Ok I have discovered after browsing a few detailing forums that many professional detailers use clay bars to get a smooth finish after waxing. So I did this: Wash car Any carwash will do here if you plan to wax/polish you dont need any fancy additives since you will be doing it yourself. Waxed I have tried mothers and meguirs gold class and wont use either again. The wax you want is Meguirs #26 its in a boring looking beige bottle with a big "26" on it at Autobarn. This is a decent easily available wax. It is by no means the best (apparently) but it will do. Clay bar A clay bar is a blob of silly putty really. You use it with a lubricant on the paint. The idea is the friction from the sticky clay adheres to the dirt. You can actually hear it lifting dirt. So you spray a lubricant (like a spray bottle of finisher) and wipe back and forth. This leaves the paint baby bum smooth. Wax again A final wax to add a protective layer to the paint. After this layer you get a fairly deep looking gloss which is so smooth to touch. Takes a few hours but its worth it.
