  1. What do you want for the drivers sunvisor? Ill offer $10 + post if its in good condition.
  2. Front? Rear? Brand? Noname?
  3. The clay bar will get the stubborn dirt off. Seriously, nothing can withstand it's wrath. Except swirls. Swirls are its nemesis.
  4. This used to be on Meggala's site but has moved. Can you post a link? If anyone is interested the Nissan FAST software is good for this and is available for cheap from the Japanese Yahoo Auctions.
  5. I believe the headunit turning off during gear changes is probably a ground issue (as said). On my car there is a ground wire connected to a bolt at the top of the gearbox near the shifter. If this has at some stage wrapped around the gearstick underneath the gear-boot it may cause problems if that ground was used for something.
  6. hehe please sell Zero the S2 bumper support. he has been after one for a long time!
  7. Teach your wife how to use the electric mirrors to view the gutter when parking to save the rims!
  8. Would love one as a second car. Too bad theyre so rare here.
  9. The interior on the Series 2 is actually worse if you think about it: - Tacky looking gauge cluster with individual holes for each warning lamp - WTF were they thinking - Cloth seats vs. Velour seats - Cloth trim vs. Velour trim The only other interior differences in the Series 2 is: - Different plastic on the dash, a bit more hard wearing as the S1 plastic was scratched easily - Airbags - Different "lights on" "key in" bing noise (yes strange that one but true, go try it!)
  10. She looks better in that office photo than she does on her other photos. Id hit it.
  11. Clay bar is the best thing you can use to get things off the paint. It will however not make a difference to swirl marks or other paint imperfections such as scratches. Clay bar is simply a piece of plastic clay type stuff (think strong silly putty). The pros use them to get a smoooth finish.
  12. Possible to get information on the front bar conversion? What did you need to do? Just change the bumper support?
  13. Stock R33 GTR rims are about $2000 - $2500 although occasionally you see a set for $1800 on here. Stock R34 GTR rims start at $3000 and go up. If you want some rims that will fit then stick some R33 GTST rims on (16"). There are always 3 or 4 sets going in the 4sale forums...
  14. do the turbo ones have an obvious fmic when stock? i always look in the front big air dam thing for a intercooler.
  15. Ah thanks. So a crossover is a filter. Thanks for that. I have some speakers already for the rest of the car. just adding a sub at the moment.
  16. Yeah to respray the wipers is a bit of a pain. You need to sand and prime them to get a really good result and they've got fiddly bits on them which frustrate. I might look for some replacements aftermarket. Wiper arm manufacturers recommend replacing them every so often anyway. Probably B.S but for looks i might be sucked in, just this once though. I think the aussie delivered R31 arms would be a match.
  17. Good work Jim. I have done this myself and actually have rigged up a PS2 socket in a din plate next to some gauges for easy/neat plugging and unplugging of the FC Commander. 2 x 50mm guages and a FC commander port in a DIN. To build it i found a mini DIN/PS2 connector scavenged out of an old PC case and wired up a harness to a PS2 extention cable I hacked. Now im looking to get some small Apexi decal made to surround the port and finish the job. Ill take some photos when its finished and in the car.
  18. Thanks guys. One more question, what exactly is a crossover and why would I need one for the sub setup to work?
  19. Thanks a lot dude. Very useful I think it should be no trouble installing this timer now!
  20. The water pump should be replaced every 100,000km along with the timing belt.
  21. I dont know the max size or even the offset but my wheels fit fine. 18x8 with 245s on all four. Stock suspension no rubbing at all.
  22. Guessing drivetrain losses is a waste of time. Just go down to the nearest workshop with a dyno and at least get a good idea at the approximate rwkw/rwhp figure. The cost is really insignificant for a quick power run.
  23. If you driving habits change because you are comprehensivly insured then you need to take another look at how insurance works. If you have even one incident in which you have to claim it costs you both arms and both legs. Firstly you have to pay your excess, which in most peoples cases is $1000 - $2000 . Next you lose your No Claim Bonus of up to 60% (unless you are on lifetime which few are) so next years insurance costs 60% more. Next you have made a claim/had an "incident" so next years insurance takes THAT into account and classifies you as a bad driver which means bigger premiums. An at fault accident can leave you in the shit for up to 5 years. even if noone was hurt and no other cars were involved!
  24. Crazy. 15 degrees! I cleaned the in cabin temp sensor on saturday and reconnected the air-hose to the dash fascia (the hose connects to the small vent which is just left of the steering column on the dash, the temp sensor lives inside this vent) and the air-con is working even better/colder now. The air coming out of it is so f'ing cold i have to face it away from me or ill get frost bite.
