since i have a complicated boot instal going in soon for the car, im just wondering how hard/possible it is to relocate the battery to the engine bay where the other power section is? i could have even more room since the washer bottle will be removed... this will make access when needed to it shitloads easier etc... how big of a job would it be for a n auto elec to do. cheers...ben.

im bit confused and would like some help from ppl who know... im purchasing an ATI Harmonic balancer for my rb26/30 build, now someone told me to get the bigger rb26 balancer, but another person said check to make sure that u use the 26 balancer and not an rb30 one... just wanna get things right before i unload money hehe... cheers...ben

does it do it constantly? or just for a few mins or so when starting it... i had a similar problem, when there was a little bit of oil on the filter of the catch can, after about 2 mins it went to normal, also had no smoke out of the exhaust etc etc... motor was taken down and everything is in fine condition... if it does it all the time non stop then id start lookin at the rings etc ben...

hey mate, yeh finally got her done the morning of final battle, i havent been on SCCS for a while lol too many forums... the stereo is coming out coz im goin all alpine, plus in all honesty the install needs redoing we whipped that up 3 days before final battle after we found some problems due to dodgy installing from the previous "proffessional" car audio installer.... also since the floor looks like shit, the new shop doin the install wants to fibreglass the floor... yes it will be riced up and shit but its all good, the new rb26 head goes on in 3 weeks... cant wait to run 30psi through it... made 496rwhp on 21psi so would be nice on 30 ( or more if all good) and while the motor is out the engine bay is being smoothed and painted. p1r4t8r: hehe cheers, ill take that as a compliment :-p, dunno how my car would like that though hehehe nah all good cheers...ben.

ive seen these before but cant remember where? it will make things easier in going from my rb25 to rb26 head instead of spendin all the money gettin a new exhaust manifold made up ben...

i posted before but 2 weeks ago interior was finished (except steering wheel) and also stereo heres a couple pics from final battle cheers...ben.

i didnt use any foam with mine just trimmed it in vinyl, i guess its just up to u, i have 6mm mdf that i made about 2 n bit weeks ago just before autosalon. dont get any vibrations from the tray at all and the stereo carries quite alot of bass and punch ben...

Beer Baron: very good reply i agree 100%.... some ppl just forget the dumb shit that "experienced" drivers do on the roads... old ppl that cant see the windscreen driving with their chin on the wheel, the stupid decision that u can do ur license tests in another language!!! ( wtf is that do we have 30 different language street signs!), the old guys in the prestige cars ( porsche, bmw, mercedez etc) thinking they are all king shit hero;s on the road. i ve had 50 y/os in xr8s and clubbys try race me... its just that the majority always seem to remember the P platers... i wanna fit a camera in my car to show how bad these "experienced" drivers are... the part that makes me disgusted and shows the stupidity and bullshit of the Majority is this remark "The survey also revealed that teenagers were the least popular drivers on the road, with a majority (59 per cent) of respondents said they would not pull over to help a teenaged driver and 61 per cent would not accept assistance from a teenaged passerby if they were having car trouble. my rb25det head uses gtr valve springs with around 450rwhp so i cant see why not cheers...ben.

i think more the matter is, when it comes to abs it is safer, alot of things have been introduced for safety... this has pros and cons, as mentioned u spend this much money it would be great to get little gizmos and gadgets etc to do stuff for u, but on the downside think of how many people ( i dont wanna descriminate etc) especially rich old women who drive around in their luxury cars that dont have 2 cents idea how to do it, so this would encourage them to just "let something do it for u" rather than learn as u should... but also on the plus side if they hit something u cant blame them lol u blame the car haha i like parking like normal lol
