  1. Dunno if this helps, its a long read but might be the problem. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...Gt-t196124.html
  2. yeah but from his perspective is that a bad thing??? lol
  3. Correctomondo. cept mine didnt have bolts holding that part in at all. bloody dodgy compliance people. theyll swap out your expensive xenon hid headlights but they wont put in two bolts to hold your back seat in. but yeah once those two bolts at the bottom of the backrest are out it slides straight up. one of the easiest bits of a car to take out.
  4. ive got the jap spec superstreets on mine and im real happy with them. nice and smooth with the damping on soft and then good for a mountain run when set to hard. im sure the aus spec ones are probably better again being built for our driving conditions not japans. ive also got the electronic controller so nice and easy to adjust the damping on the fly.
  5. hahaha yeah echos are definately not built for hillclimbs. or any driving in general for that matter.
  6. hahahaa how many of those are bumpy road induced pics of my dashboard? ill bet theres a few in there
  7. ..... or adjustable coilovers. Tein Super Streets seemed to be great up the mountain. Weren't too stiff for the bumpy roads. They'd be too soft for the track but my car is a daily driver so doesn't worrry me.
  8. Best pics of my car ever thanks RedEmblem.
  9. Mt Mee was a great run. I pussied out and left the traction control on. already lost my girlfriend and job last week didnt wanna lose the car too. was good giving it a bootfull though. had to slow down so the boys in their 33's could catch up ;P
  10. Mine actually has a brand name on it!!! though the brand is eonon or some rubbish which is the same as the ebay seller name, yay for chinese ebay businesses. this is the headunit i got. plenty of features for $300 eonon 838 - genuine chinese quarrity - you buy now!!! lol @ hideous car-mod convention - that would be the charades n crap parked at alex every thursday night.
  11. Nah dood that was all work. setting up lights n sound gear for awards night. only sat down for about 2 hours total.
  12. Would have headed out last night but worked a 14 hour day. bloody awards nights. installing my new double din touchscreen $300 you buy now ebay headunit thisarvo then headin to brisneyland for drinks at a mates place. then back up saturday and then back down again sunday for the cruise. yay for weekend fuel prices. hope this cheapass headunit actually works without setting my car on fire
  13. universal DIN pocket. pick em up at stupidcheap and any other place like that. usually around the $30 mark.
  14. yep. gotta go do some actual work now though which is kinda strange. we're cleanin out an old storeroom that has like 10yr old computers n printers n stuff in it. tip run in the work ute
  15. Started at 7 already fixed someones laptop. Error between keyboard and chair. on my 3rd coffee already (each with 3 sugars). so im in this little storeroom of an office buzzing out of my head with nothing to do.
  16. +1 for the east bear kit. now if only i had the moollaaaaah.... that kit with a set of lmgt4's.
  17. see you at 6:30 mate Yeah piece-o-piss pretty turned out as good as a $50 gauge can. The vacuum hose is made of hard plastic or something so kinks easy but it works and its stuck down with velco and we didnt bother wiring up the light for it cause wayne had to make it to the bank before they closed.
  18. probably wanna budget for some splitfire coilpacks too as the standard coilpacks seem to be a common fault/weakpoint. Ive got the money aside to get mine but waiting till they let go first.
  19. koya inox r1's have some decent dish and are about $500 a corner depending on how wide you go. found them here: JS auto imports
  20. Sweet, gimme a call when you're home and I'll come round with a few beers..... and drink them while you work on your car ....... I mean, give you a hand.
  21. was gonna head out for a bit yesterday arvo but was elbows deep under the dash replacing the dash lights with ricey blue leds, and one of those headlight auto on/off things from stupid cheap. apparently theres a separate wire for each headlight from the switch on the steering column. so at first attempt one light was auto and the other wasnt. got it fixed though. hopefully ill make it out this thursday night for a few laps again. hopefully Wes will have his 33 back in action this week too.
  22. this will definately come in handy later on when i need to do this. thanks for taking the time mate. i think if i did that i'd need a few more breaks in between if you know what i mean
  23. had the same problem with mine. sounds like a ground loop problem - headunit and amp are grounded in different parts of the car. you could either run the ground lead from the headunit thru to the amps grounding point or buy some ground loop isolators (much easier option). they plug inline between the rca's and the headunit and cancel out the ground loop. worked a treat on my car. you'll need one for each rca lead and they're usually around $30 each. most car audio places will stock them. i still get a little noise thru my fronts but its only noticable when the volume is turned right down (so not very often)
