  1. I'm not 100% sure it was Zac but there was a silver 33 in the middle of a red and blue disco for ages near pub mooloolaba last night. Didnt get a real good look.
  2. I was out for a while tonight. Plenty of police out. Went past the RBT at alex 3 times and never got pulled over. had a laugh at some little buzz box with leds in the exhausts.
  3. if they're only a temporary solution its not worth the hassle. 6" fits straight in so just buy a cheap set of 6" speakers for you wanna upgrade later.
  4. My car came with Tein superstreets with the electronically adjustable damping. I change it way too often. currently running on 2 front and rear but mostly driving on smooth roads. if i drive to brizzy i soften it up as the bruce highway feels like a cattle grid when the damping all stiff.
  5. look in the forced induction section. there's a sticky on turbos for the rb25. I'm sure you'll find the info you need.
  6. plenty of effort gone into the container n stuff. i expected to see a 2L coke bottle or a tallie or something.
  7. so very very wrong. as everyone has said its gonna cause more problems than it solves, its not the same fine for everyone and imports will be targeted because only people in imports are hoons. farkin wankers. if a cop tries to confiscate my car ill farkin kill the bastard where he stands, and thats a promise.
  8. make sure that paint has a very high heat resistance, you dont wanna go settin fire to your new lights.
  9. type m or m-spec basically stands for luxury but i think you also get things like gtr brakes. atleast thats what was on my r32gtst type-m/m-spec anyways. not 100% on this but with the 33's i think the series 2 had better lights but im sure someone with a 33 can confirm.
  10. yep 225's will fit for sure. i had them on my old 32 stockers
  11. mine has xenon embossed in the logo but doesnt have xenons in it. stupid compliance, the headlights on my old VR bommodore are brighter.
  12. i think i saw some 6 spokes with tyres in the for sale section for about $1000
  13. another +1 for Xenons. Mine didn't come with and put out less light than the headlights on my VR bommodore. I paid too much for mine but I'm impatient so I bought the first car I looked at. Its in great condition all round but i should have paid less. so wish i had money to get xenons in the car.
  14. Item: Pioneer Carrozzeria 2 piece headunit model numbers avic-h99 & avic-v77 Age: Was in car when arrived from Japan Condition: Used but in good nic. Screen is perfect. Price: asking $250. Original retail was above $3000 if I read it right (correct me if im wrong) Also looks like they go for about 40,000yen on yahoo auctions.(approx $400AUD) Location: Sunshine Coast. Will ship interstate @ purchaser's expense. Contact: Just send me a PM. Comments: Being a Japanese headunit its in Japanese funnily enough. I can't read Japanese. Officially from Pioneer it cant be changed to english but not sure, someone might be able to. I'm quite happy with the headunit I transferred from my old car so never bothered trying to hard to find out. It has a 10GB built in HDD that currently has a whole heap of Japanese pop music on it. You can rip CD's to the HDD.
  15. yeah they just buy cotton balls and a roll of string
  16. Bloody Caloundra boguns. Sorry to hear about ur car mate, its a damn fine R33. I'll give you a call thisarvo, might have to come round with some beers.
  17. I used the aerpro universal pocket without the cup holders and they fit in my R34 perfectly. The one i used had 3 different surrounds for it and i had to chop the edges a little on the smallest one to fit in but apart from that was fine. might cut it real close to the shifter with the cup holders though.
  18. mine was doin the same thing and it was my vac hose. didnt have a hole in it but was split at the end and as the split grew the leak got bigger. got to the point where it fell off and had a constant reading of 0. new hose = all good now
  19. correct stockers are 6.5". im sure 6x9's will fit but a good set of 6.5's is soo much easier so i went with that
  20. to have them both go on and off together run them in parallel. behold the awesome powers of sleep deprivation and paint (attached) an on/off switch gets put on one of the wires after the two neons are joined ................../----------neon1-------------\ 12V-------- ............................................---------on/off switch--------earth ..................\----------neon2-------------/ wow ascii diagrams too. i need sleep. aaaanyway theres your basic on/off setup for two neons. just make sure you dont get the + & - wires mixed up. gets more complicated for 3way switch for door circuit. its not too hard but my brain isnt coping right now so ill leave that diagram up to someone more awake than myself. hope that helps. if you aint confident enough to do that yourself get an autoelec or car audio place to install.
  21. you can also get a little more complicated with the neons. get a 3way switch wire 1 circuit to a permanent or accessories 12V, wire another circuit to the door lights circuit so you have 3 setting on the switch, off, door and always on. as for the leds im waiting on a set too. ill take some photos if i can get my woman's digital camera.
  22. I'm after a workshop manual for my R34 too. I found one for my R32 back in the day on ebay but cant find one for the R34 Thanks
  23. Dont know if this is old news but I just found this out today and now I think I'm going to have to buy a PS3 just to get this game. I hope you can get a Suzuki Liana or a Chev Lacetti then compare your time to the celebs. I hope I can do better than the blind man Linky PRESS RELEASE: Gran Turismo® and BBC Worldwide to collaborate on best-selling racing game series Gran Turismo® Top Gear to provide content for download via GT TV™ Tokyo, October 24 2007 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. 24. Best bet would be to get an Australian one for insurance purposes and so you dont get fined. theres australian legal requirements for car alarms to stops sounding after a certain amount of time (30 seconds i think) amongst other requirements. and as for insurance you wont be covered thru justcar if you dont have atleast a 2point immobiliser that meets australian standards. not sure how it goes with other insurance companies but thats justcar.
  25. my car came with a fold out screen that was mounted in the bottom of the 2 din slots. used to rest on the climate control dial when fully open and i couldnt close the screen when the car was in 3rd or 5th because it would hit the gearstick. was a pain. if goin for a screen i would recommend getting a double din unit that has flat mount screen not a retractable one. wont get in the way then
