  1. If changing the ignition timing and injection doesn't work then maybe a restriction in the exhaust?
  2. Over $700 just for a bov, a little bit ridiculous imo. I used to have the one below that from GFB the stealth fx, basically the same just not electronically controlled from the dash. Never hand any problems with it, sounded great. But now i run a stock one cause im cool .
  3. Most will, my old one could be adjusted to flutter heaps. Atmo definitely is louder though.
  4. With the whole redline launch, will my clutch like me very much after a few hours of this? I've just bought a new clutch and its getting put in on monday and i'm going to willowbank 20th dec, so id like to keep my clutch happy...
  5. Pretty sure all K&N filters are oiled, mine sure is. Cars that are untuned have issues with atmo bov's not aftermarket plumb backs, they are fine. Keep the stock bov mate, or buy a new one and leave the stock one in the garage for later just in case. And if your going to get a pod filter then i also recommend keeping your stock air box in case you want to go back to being silent, trust me, i did.
  6. Doesn't third party and third party property cover other cars hit by you? I thought comprehensive was only for your own car. I'm not sure, never hit another car before.
  7. Not particularly since you aren't running higher than stock boost, you will probably notice a dip in response though. Personally i dont think insurance is worth it on these cars, just car is the only company that will insure me and i was quoted 2800 for comprehensive, then theres the massive excess aswell. Cheaper to buy second hand parts and fix it yourself!
  8. +1 for power fc, anyone running higher boost than stock should have one.
  9. Are you having your flywheel machined or just replaced cause that takes some time aswell. I am having my clutch replaced (exedy heavy duty organic) and i have been quoted 4 hrs for the job including flywheel being machined.
  10. Did you do this to yours to handle 20psi? About when does it start to leak boost?
  11. mmm What would Godzilla motor sport charge for a quick dyno run?
  12. I recommend keeping it stock, try a gtr one or screw the stock one
  13. Ok, i noticed on my narrow band afr gauge its running a noticeable difference leaner, not dangerous just questionable. It has a tuned power fc and all supporting mods, i also noticed it after i changed my oil today (it shouldnt make a difference i know but it was the last thing i did to my car). Other things, i have been putting octane booster into my car to stop it knocking as for some reason it was tuned for 100 octane (running 98 ultimate), although i have been doing it for a while now and should have made a difference before. The car feels the same although my clutch is in need for serious replacement and is slipping bad so i havent been able to take it for a hard drive. I also cleaned the air filter and AFM on monday too. Perhaps my O2 sensor is playing up? Or the gauge is playing up? Or maybe my car is running leaner?
  14. Sorry mate long gone, is your stock bov giving you trouble?
  15. Damn so no easy method of just pulling it apart, cleaning it and putting back together? Yer i'll have that soarer guide please dal34, thanks.
  16. Hey all, There is lots of moisture in my passenger side headlight and its not evaporating. I've tried looking around but cannot find any threads on how to access this part of the headlight. Could someone help me or point me in the right direction? Thanks guys
  17. Has it been maintained well? Is it blowing smoke? Is the oil pressure ok? Need much more info dude.
  18. You will need to buy a sandwich plate to stick between the oil filter and the block of the engine, then wire the receiver to that. They aren't expensive, bout 30 from just jap.
  19. Mate you will have to pull some of the dash out to get to the cluster. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...-HO-t31550.html Its pretty easy, once you get started it becomes a pretty clear path. Once you get to the cluster just look where on the dash the hicas light is and find that same spot on the back of it and you will see the bulb for it, twist is out and done!
  20. Oil pressure and temp are the big ones, maybe a air fuel ratio gauge too.
