  1. here is what I did in my 32, using a 12 sub. ive since carpeted and fits fine
  2. hi mate, you still got the door cards?? free?? I can pick up im in Campbelltown though so we have to work out a time etc. also the interior door side mirror trims
  3. ok, they are the interior side mirror trim panels - triangular in shape
  4. front door sail panels with the three lugs intact??? and also the white plastic bits they fit into??
  5. out of curiousity how much were they quoting??? two places in Sydney wanted "atleast $1000" to fit one to my 32.......I just decided to buy a ute to tow my 4.5m boat instead. I never ever have any part of my ute go into the water, however I did see this f**khead in a commo ss ute wheels half in the water a couple of years ago, he and his mates thought it would be a great idea to tow the boat and trailer out by smoking the rears........that ended in tears for the owner and plenty of laughter for me, and more laughter after I refused to tow him out.....and I was told I was a f**kwit!!
  6. hi mate, do you have the sail panels for the front doors, with unbroken fixing plugs, left and right side?? if so how much to post to Sydney??
  7. after opinions hertz mlk2tw for 699 or focal krx2 879 after hearing both today they are both great sounding speakers, they both have their differences but sound fantastic in their own right

  9. there is a whole thread relating to your question mate, in forced induction
  10. couldn't agree more you have taken what I said out of context, "basically............eng cert" is what the blue slip station told me. they are not police. they are independent. look im not trying to piss people off, this is just what I was told by the blue slip station. as for the police they defect you if they think something isn't right with or without a certificate. say you got your eng certificate two years ago, well that gives you two years to make a whole heap of changes. as they say "the nail that sticks out gets hammered"
  11. If the highway partrol officer thinks its illegal he will still defect you.....they have no idea what the engineering certificate covers at the time of pulling you over, you may have added more (either to his knowledge or not). Even a blue slip station (pretty sure you still have t go through them to get defects 'lifted') wont give a shit if you have an engineers certificate. I had to get defected exhaust quietened, when I went to the blue slip guy first thing he asked was if I had a engineers certificate, I said no. He told me they aren't worth the paper they are written on....basically if he ddint like what he saw he wouldn't lift a defect, regardless of having a engineers certificate. He suggested I quiten it first then come back to get it lifted. I put my stock muffler back on and went back and had it lifted. He was happy I was happy. If you don't drive like a dick on the road you'll have no worries to a certain degree, there are plenty of opportunities to thrash your car at the creek mate, off street drags on wed nights. drifts on Thursday nights, 2 hours out of Sydney is wakefield, and marulan. why you want to stand out even more in an already discriminated crowd is beyond me. just makes it harder for the rest of us. also, cops deserve respect mate first and foremost. think about it if your at the pub and someone comes up and gives you shit first-mouthing off etc, your going to give them shit back right. if they didn't your mood (as you say) completely changes to be non aggressive back. something to think about ay??
  12. this works a treat........now gotta learn how to play......not sure what step 7 is meant to do though?
  13. when I needed things translated I took it to an Asian takeaway I always use, helps to know that they are Japanese.....if they aren't japanese they might know someone that can read it could also try high schools, some teach it as a language. just phone a couple, explain you need something translated from Japanese. perhaps a local library
  14. so is that 1400 all up then or the thou includes the diff guy?? so I could buy an s15 diff and half shafts and drive shafts.......sounds like a whole lot of work, but sounds like your happy with the result. don't suppose you know if s15 driveshafts bolt to r32gtst hubs. either way, I would look at buying what I need, be it a new mech diff or helical solution, and take it to a local diff guy to set up and install
  15. mate the easiest way if you have a towbar, or access to a car with a towbar is to hire a car trailer.....they are about 100/day. I know with the nrma you only get the first 20-25km free, after that its $5/km so quite expensive
  16. could get an nrma inspection.....you get a comprehensive checklist would be the same as a mechanic doing it in my opinion. v35 were aus delivered if im correct
  17. gtsboy, yeah ive seen your posts in many threads......out of interest how much is an arm and a leg?? The home driveway is fine, but there are a couple of driveways I use that it does kick up the rear wheel(less now that the teins are in), having said that I guess I could take them at a more perpendicular angle due to minimal traffic. ah ok so keep my gears.......how durable are the gears? 380000km old, car never thrashed really, im the only owner since japland, hard to tell since I havnt ripped the diff out but do they ever need replacing?? if so are they hard to get new?? 2nd hand would be easy. its a tuff decision as some people say mech diffs are clunky, chirp wheels etc in carparks and others say they are great and have no issues.....perhaps the detrimental remarks come from not having them setup correctly and just deal/tolerate it. ill have to search kaaz and cusco as im pretty sure I havnt noticed 1 way nismo
  18. Well it looks like its time to replace my diff(380,000km). Being a viscous unit standard it is my understanding that reshimming/rebuilding is a bandage for a bullet wound, rather than spend the 600odd getting it done better to save and buy a new diff. What other option do I have?? This is where my problem lies - I want it to be nice on the street.....I've read and searched the forums and it seems as though the general consensus is to buy a 1.5way diff fit it to your car and learn to deal with the sounds and chatter at low speeds etc. My car is not a daily driver anymore, usually take it out a couple of times a week for an hour or so of driving but that's about it. I have no intention of drifting it, perhaps some circuit work in the future, but more than likely will be 90% street driven. I have no idea about diff's really apart from the research I have done on google, sau and magazine articles. I am still a little confused when people say they lock under deceleration and can spear you off in the wet......surely this is a rare occurance unless you are pushing the car. Most of my driving is 'nana' spec, so will installing a 1.5way inhibit my driving pleasure. After the suspension upgrade http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/426868-suspension-part-replacement/ the car is nice to drive, has nice power and handles well now. A little off topic but I 'tolerated' shitty stiff g4 coilovers for four years till I got aussie spec teins last year and the car has been so much better to drive since and vowed not to 'just learn to live with it' when upgrading anything else now. The diff might be different though as I have to replace it really and with no other option I may have to deal with the driveability of a 1.5way. The posts I've read make no mention of what clutches people have when putting a 1.5way/2way diff in their cars. I have a os giken twin plate, will this and a 1.5 way diff make it unbearable to drive on street?? The last question may sound stupid so please keep the sarcasm level low, but my vin plate says rc43 - so 4.3 diff ratio?? The nismo gt pro has 4.3 ratio, not sure about kaaz or cusco. Will changing the ratio change my speedo - the sensor is on the gearbox so I'm guessing it wont - again I got no idea really so low volume sarcasm please if you feel the need to leave smart arse remarks. I should have done mechanical engineering at uni instead of civil I guess lol. My car has 239rwkw, rb25 and box, 3071r, pfc, injectors etc and the os twinplate. When I do buy a new diff, a local diff guy will be installing it - I wouldn't know how to set the backlash correctly. Cheers guys Mick
  19. Awesome!! Money definitely well spent. The car feels so much more balanced through turns, feels as though the body remains "flatter" through accelerated turning. Body roll has been significantly reduced. Turn in response has improved immensely, to the point where I feel as though I'm learning to turn the vehicle again on the same roads. Previous to the upgrades I would turn in, car would turn in slowly and heavily, body roll in opposite direction, then ease the wheel back to straight.....Now, I'm turning into the corner, waiting for body roll, waiting, waiting, shit I have to adjust steering input or ill hit the inside corner, then ease the wheel back to straight. On corner exits I've noticed that I'm having to release the steering wheel earlier too - the car just keeps on turning in. The steering of the car feels easier and lighter, like I'm not fighting the steering wheel anymore. I still have to play with the shock adjustments to get the feel I would like, there is no easy way to do this apart from set them, drive around for a couple of weeks then readjust, will take some time but I'm in no rush really. Also, have to play with the sway bar settings to see what I like. As stated earlier, I had them installed on soft settings front and rear, seems as though most have the front set to hard so I'll have to try that in the next couple of weeks also. I don't have squeaks, creaks, knocks, thuds when driving/turning, turning in and out of driveways anymore. One thing I have noticed however is a light clunking noise when on and off throttle which I'm assuming is the diff - backlash?? from what I've read on here, so the next task on my list is to diagnose and remedy that.
  20. i just did mine, pulled it off, took it to brake and cluth place, got them to reseal/reco whatever you want to call it. came back perfect and works brakes are now awesome again.
  21. mate your going to get a whole different range of answers........when I did my engine swap, turbo/ecu/injectors/clutch/rear hub swap/remove hicas upgrades I used drift garage (Louis). they were local for me and Louis knows what he's doing, didn't talk any shit, asked what I wanted from the car. He doesn't have the garage anymore but he works for powertune now, from what I hear and see they are pretty good
  22. ok, I finally got the car back. only had the chance to drive it home penrith to campbelltown along northern road and all I have to say so far is amazing. no squeaks, creaks, knocks, clunks or anything anymore. steering is massively improved, will be taking it out later on this evening for a bit more spirited driving so ill have more of an evaluation later on the handling side of things. big thanks must go to wholesale suspension at Penrith, in particular matt, chris and dean. id highly recommend these guys to anyone. out of curiosity, what do you guys have your swaybars set at?....ie hard or soft. I had mine set as soft for the timebeing.
  23. ok, so they figured out that whiteline sent the wrong part.....anyway hopefully car will be back today
  24. spose they figure that out themselves. any other thoughts as to why it wouldn't fit?? sorry I have not seen the car since it went to the suspension place so I cant actually see for myself the problem. only been told over the phone.
  25. Im guessing he should have been told that by whiteline, however they are sending a grt bar to them to trial, I guess because its a 22mm bar instead of 24mm. how much clearance do you have?? last time I checked the engine still seemed stirdy in its place, but could it be engine mounts. I mean if they are collapsed a bit, this would reduce the clearance right?
