  1. R32GTSTT sound interesting, but i would not block off one wastegate when each turbo is being fed by three cylinders, even with the balance pipe between them it will create uneven boost pressure. There is no reason why you cannot keep the wastegates on both turbos.
  2. Same place they have diff phone numbers. That City Dismantler info is interesting, do they use new pistons when they do it, what do you think the stock N/a pistons would be good for HP wise. We do a bit of work for city dismatlers truck side so it wouldnt cost me anything.
  3. if they made if for 215K it would have been a bargain, if you look at the cost of all the parts on the car, gearbox, brakes, engine, dry sump setup etc you would not be able to buy a monaro and mod it with a extra 100k and get a car with half the extras this thing had, it would have been a weapon on the street. It would be like nissan relasing a 9sec R34 GTR for 200K, not possible.
  4. Would you mind telling us what you sold it for, im just interested to know what the market is like in adelaide at the moment, thanks
  5. I think at Bathurst they were in a prototype category so they are ok there, but in GTP Nations Cup they need to be mass produced cars, 50 or so from memory, so seeing the only ones made were race cars they should be made to run the normal road going puss Monaro
  6. I dont see how that it could not be made to work. The ecu only connects to a few parts of importance, mainly the CAS, TPS, AFM(s), Injectors, ignitor/coils, and some temperature sensors. So all you would need to do is change these or ensure they are compatible with GTR one and there should be no reason it should not work. Would Just have to run 2 afms thats all i suppose.
  7. I could have sold these 2 days ago but a mate just ordered a new set after giving up looking for these, i will see if he is still interested.
  8. The only way you could have someone pick it up and drive streight to you without going through depos etc is hiring a tow truck and getting them to drive it up there, but that would be very expensive, think $50+ and hour each way. Best and cheapest way would be drive, just buy a few bottels of actane booster if there is not premium and dont do any high speed runs.
  9. What about a 180sx, stripped and fully prepped with full suspension setup, rolling with no engine
  10. My old man would sell his but its white, stock bar exhaust and the cd, turbo timer, alarm, comes with 17s with good tyres. Pm me if your interested in a white one. In adelaide also.
  11. PM sent, you can email me [email protected]
  12. I wouldnt risk cutting it but removing it is no prob, just hit it with some CRC and get some locking pliers as generally normal spanners will not get a good grip and strip it due to its tightness.
  13. What size are the outlet of the cooler? there is no point using a pipe size larger than this. There is no problem with using mild steel for cooler pips if you do the job properly, clean, prep etc. Mandrel bends are not very expensive, about $12 for a 2.5'' from the right place. Just make sure you go to the place that bends them, not a exhaust shop that buys them pre bent, then you can usually get a good deal for cash$$$.
  14. I have finally got some of the parts organsied for the gearbox swap. When i got the gearbox i got the fist part of the 33 tail shaft so i only needed to get that lenghened by 600mm, this cost $220. I have also got the r32 gtr speedo sensor, cost $50 it has a different gear on the end so you need to swap this with the rb25 one for it to work properly. Will be a bit of stuffing around but shouldnt be too hard. Now i only need to get some urathane to make a decent mount and find some time to put it in.
  15. Very nice and well made, but one question why did you keep all the std suspension arms with only the bushes changes. Fabricating some new fully adjustable ones is fairly simple compared to the rest of your modifications.
  16. SO the afm works fine then, i was sure mine still worked good so it must have been something else then, glad you got it sorted.
  17. Generally if it happens at a certain rpm its the afm, when mine went i could not go over 3k from memory otherwise it would cut out and hesitate badly, then it would stall and not want to go for a while. If you want to try that AFM PM me and you can try it, i will be home all day tomorrow.
  18. Yeah no worries i can help you out there. If you find out let me know because on thursday im going to towommba with the karts and someone i know will be there who is building a IJZvvti engine, 600hp from memory to go in his M3, so i can find out if he still has the injectors. If i don use them then you can get them off me.
  19. If you can find out that would be good, i may know where there is some interstate as well, but there wouldnt be too many sets around.
  20. One thing that confuses me is how can the company quote a figure like .1psi drop at 15psi, Its obvioulsly only going to be a small drop if there is a small amount of air flowing through it, im certain there would be more than a .1spi drop if a T88 was pushing lots more air at 15psi. Bar and plate are good for cooling, while tube and fin flow more, well this is the general rule. So a decent size tube and fin will do the job fine, the size you mention would be good for over 250rwkw i would think.
  21. Yeah thanks Martin, looks like my car will be put on our truck in future if i go to the drags.
  22. What are these ijz VVTI injectors Chris, streight fit, size etc. I remember reading something but i cant remember details.
  23. Best way would be to cut some tube 5cm long the same size as the cooler piping and block one end off (if you can weld properly), then drill a hole in one of the plates that you use and put a tyre valve in it. Then with the ends clamped in place you just pump it up like a tyre to 50psi and check after 10 mins and see if it has changed.
  24. In future any magazine articles will have to not include the owners name and remove rumber plates before photos are taken or many more of these letters are sent out.
  25. Im getting the tail shaft organised tomorrow so i will let you know the outcome. I will also be getting the gtr speed sensor so i will definately know that one as well.
