  1. You would expect someone who mods cars for a living to have a pretty sweet car that has a few mods, other wise you wouldnt really buy parts from then would you Nozila.
  2. Yeah the front caster is two large bushes. and the rear camber is 2 offset bushes in each side. These parts cost $200, fitting would only be 4 hours max so $200 in labour, so $400 in total is what you should be paying, plus the wheel alignment.
  3. I was told that the water pump was the same as the VL ones, i ended getting a genuine one from nissan the suit the rb20 for about $100 so it was not much more than the cheap ones. I then got a gasket from roccas for a VL and it was the same as the water pump so the bolt holes are the same but i cant be sure they are identical. Nissan is the only place you will probably find a timing belt. Try diff dealers as the price varies a lot for all parts, i get my stuff from north east nissan and get stuf the next day from melboure, they have most parts there.
  4. give me your email and i can send you one
  5. Thats the same way i have set my pipes up as well, im not sure if there is any benefit but keeping the cold pipe shoter has to reduce the inlet temps a bit. What material to use is often debated and many people have different ideas. Some say alloy some Stainless, my idea is that you use alloy out of the turbo to try and dissapate some heat, then use ceramic coated mild steel from cooler to the inlet to try and insulate the cool air. But then again hot air travells faster so it may be better just having ceramic coated pipes all round.
  6. I agree with Sydneykid as i was going to do the same mod myself when putting the to4 on, but when i cut the front of the plenun off and looked in the hole you realise that the first 2 runners cannot get a good airflow, even when under pressure there has to be a fair amount of flow difference. The stock manifold is pretty good when you look inside and see how all the air is distributed. Also a interesting article in the new Zoom mag, they put a rb20 in a vr commo i think and modded the GTR manifold and throttle bodies on to it, after it was running they were not happy with the way it was running so they fitted the stock setup and it ran better and made more power.
  7. So how was the nice and wet drift day.
  8. I assume Mick will be doing all the dyno work at tillbrooks now and that Martin is working at Morpowa on their dyno. Do tillbrooks still do all the r32 computer mods or dont they have the stuff anymore.
  9. Sounds mad Matt, would have cost you a few $$$ im sure. JMS regulary run on slicks so im guessing that that time was run on these, either way its pretty fast and will be very scary on the road. Get a set of nittos on GTR wheels and go for it.
  10. do you have any other pics of the wheels, like a side view of a car. I assume they are the correct size for a GTR. Email pics to ahrns@senet.com.au

    brakes

Rob, my pads only make a small noise every now and then, do your disks need maching as this may make then squeel. Ultimates are a pain if you like to keep your car looking ok, your wheels will be black in 2 weeks, i have heard som good and bad thing about green stuff, they are more expensive than the race brakes stuff as well.

    brakes

Do a search on the net for a place called Race Brakes, they are in NSW i think. They have make all different pads to suit your car. Ultimates are OK, and would be a minimum quality but the ones I have are better, last longer and dont produce hardly any brake dust unlike ulitmates where you need to clean your wheels every week. Skyline pads arnt hard to source, they are the same as a number of locally delivered models, you just cant get the cheap crap for them which you dont want anyway.
  13. I have a mate who is interested in getting some of these brakes, could you PM me you number so he can get in touch with you.
  14. Stinless Lighter? Any system made here would probably use the same thickness pipe as mild steel, and would therefor be heavier. A mild steel exhaust will last a few years 5+ if it is prepared proparly before being painted. Im sure new cars dont have stainless exhausts and they would last more than 2 years. Stainless also has a more audible drone in the cabin compared to mild steel pipes i have found.
  15. Im in adelaide, want $80 for both bits.
  16. I have one, there is a casseste/radio and a seperate CD player in the 2 din spaces. What are you willing to pay.
  17. Im guessing your looking at the 32 JMS have on their website, good luck with your sale. If your interested in looking at a 32 gtst with 235 at the wheels PM me.
  18. Looking at the list allready even if not everybody comes there is a few people from just here, im sure Ivan has a few RPM customers that will be there so 50 should be an easy number to achieve.
  19. Its is understandable if you consider that AIR has a duty of care when you are racing, when there is only one person they can only hurt themself, as long as AIR has a safe facility then its not there problem if you crash your car. But consider 2 people and someone crashes into you in their crazy carsideways down the strip, you didnt do anything wrong so you have to get someone to fix your car, their insurace probably has to cover this.
  20. Thats a pretty good price, the tensioner bearings etc for the timing belt are pretty expensive. The water pump definately needs to be changed as well. Also new radiator hoses from nissan are about $50 each as well. Better to spend a little extra then the chances are you wont have any trouble for the next 100,000km if the regular stuff is performed.
  21. seems like it was good i didnt bother running, only 3 runs tops for most, last time i had 5 runs and i stuffed around between runs. MattR the 540s need to be launched hard, a bit of wheel spin is always better than bogging down. Where your tyres new as i had a s/h set and they didnt seem that grippy.
  22. Im keen but it will depend on the date. BTW Matt what type of shift light are you running, i need something in my car and yours was bright and i know you didnt have a a big tacho.
  23. yeah only had the car a few days and was pissed, i was on my way back from melbourne and seen a car covered up on the back of a tow truck. we pulled up next to the lights and the wheels had the spokes bolted to the hub and the rest of the wheel was gone. you could just make out the prancing horse in the centre of the wheel and the duct to the rear was the only way we could tell what it was.
  24. I have half a cars worth of std parts so if you need to borrow any parts let me know.
  25. Have fun everyone, i will be in Melbourne so i wont be able to make it.
