  1. Yes i make myself. Sorry i dont like COD.
  2. The plenum is Ok, but deffinately not as good as others, what do they sell for?
  3. I have made some adjustable rose jointed caster rods to suit r32/33/s13 and r32 gtr , $250 rear strut brace $80, powdercoated silver Hicas removal rack, complete with everything required to block off the lines and replaces entire rack, easy DIY fit, $150
  4. how soon do you need them, i have a mate who is getting a big single put on soon and will be looking to sell the lot.
  5. I would be very surprised if a dyno tuner gave a warranty covering the engine, how do they know you didnt wind the boost up another 5psi and caust the engine to go.
  6. Joel its hard enough to get the gearbox back onto the car with the car on a hoist, i would never attemt it on ramps, but ive always had a hoist to work on so ive had it a bit easier.
  7. It depends on your power goals if you dont wont more than 250rwkw the stock one will be fine and you should spend your money on other things. New they are around $1500 for a decent stainless manifold.
  8. should be about $300 to rebild, Im assuming the watercooled one is the samller one still about the same size as the rb20 one
  9. Yes on the rear only toe can be adjusted, if your car is lowered you may need to fit a camber bush kit. Check the whiteline site for their recommended settings as they would be a good start.
  10. inasnt i was thinking the same thing as im currently doing a mech eng degree, who gives these engineers the power to issue mod permits. We should start a company and just print off some forms similar to what other places produce with names and quailfiactions and show them to the cops. The mods were checked by a engineer and they thought they were ok, may fools some.
  11. I know the FJ that was intercooled had a water cooled turbo and these were smaller than the early turbo fj motors. The smaller version made 160rwkw on 14psi, so if it is the bigger verison that i would assume it should make more and could run lots of boost, no ceramics. So get it rebulit, $300 or so, and run it, it will be a little more laggy but not too bad.
  12. Hope not joel i just got some castrol SRF for when i replace the brakes and is fully synthetic i believe.
  13. Getting there dude, have 3 r32 ones done and will be fitting to my car on the weekend, if its all good then i will make some 33 ones up, will be away with the karts in 2 weeks then after that they should be done. Dont worry ill let you know first.
  14. I could fit it for you would only take 10mins, but you would need a wheel alignment to be sure of rear toe.
  15. Well im about to finish making a few removal bars to eliminate the rear hicas rack. Easy to fit, less weight and more control. Will cost about $150.
  16. To go places you need either money or a bit of skill combines with luck. There are good drivers who needed money to get there and there are very adverage drivers use there money to get there. Mark did it working hard in karts and getting a break through the kartstars series. So he will be succesfull but im not sure what stone brothers are going to do next year. Three good drivers, hopefully they will either run three cars which i doubt or loan him to another team to use.
  17. Steve I thought here if it was ok you didnt need a engineers certificate to pass for things like pods, coolers, coilovers etc. I know plenty who have got through with pods/cooler. You only need a certificate for engine conversions and major mods. But it think it depends on the person.
  18. Ken, have you tried to remove the hicas rack from a GTR. I was told you can not remove any of the stuff with out major dramas.
  19. Get a louder exhaust and you wont hear them. I have had my kit fitted for a year and have no noticable noice, it may be that the tyres, exhaust drown it out or its not there at all. All i did when fitting was apply a small amount of the grease supplied and fit.
  20. You will struggle to fit a large cooler in without cuting the bumber support, there is not a lot of room between the bonnet support and bumper support. You would find im guesing that the GTR suppost has been cut out from the factory and may bolt on.
  21. Is it a pull or push type clutch, is it just the clutch plates stuffed or is the pressure plate stuffed as well.
  22. Yes first cylinder will get less air with the same fuel, so it will be rich, the last ones will have more air and not enough fuel so lean. If the cars running rich it would probably not be a problem, but it ifs tuned on the limit it may pose a problem, just be carefull.
