  1. Couldnt decide between the 2. Catco seems to have a good reputation after my search but the X-Force one is stainless steel which I suppose is stronger? Catco's got the stainless stain version but its almost 400bucks for it (I'm not really keen on paying 400 for a cat). I know a cat is a cat but after hearing/reading post on people's melting kinda made me wanna seek some advise. Any suggestion? Oh they're both flanged which makes thing a lot easier for mounting. Thanks! Catco http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=275&page=1 X-Force http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=275&page=1
  2. Good luck with the sale. This is my 1st set of decent tyres and it'll make you feel sooooo safe. Too bad mine still has plenty of thread, or else I would have snap these up (exact size that I'm after).
  3. Wtf... how much are the driftteks? Get Rays! -.-; You're not comparing apples with apples. Those 57s pros are pretty exp. When you were talking about rims I was gonna ask you to get those fluoroscent coloured 57d. Post some photos when you're fitting them.
  4. Looks like I'll be the only survivor when the flood come.
  5. Where are you gonna source it from? Yard, carsale or import?

    Dyno Day

I thought you just got it tuned not long ago...? dont you know the figures?
  7. Tris: pm me your number... for some reason its missing from my hp. Anyone going to tas's workshop? gonna head there soon to check it out.
  8. Let me know how you go as well. The other factor to consider when getting highflow cat is how much loud is my exhaust gonna be and what sort of power increase would I expect. If its gonna make it louder and 5kW more... I rather not have it if you know what I mean.
  9. Yea they're laggy but hey, they serve as a good platform for mods (if you're not chasing huge power). And so long as you stay in the boost range you'll be smiling endlessly.
  10. Vehicle_RPM_317.1.pdf I've just checked the Vic standard... =(
  11. Bang for bucks and save the hassle of mod-ing!
  12. I think he's refering to KR4's Series 3. He did mention he's got the factory oil cooler in it. Its not that rare when you compare it with the limited editions of 33 like LM, N1 and 400R though. But judging from the photos his does look really good in terms on condition. Looking at his price I feel like I've snapped up a bargain for my N1 but the only downside is no logbook.
  13. Alright, it'll be known in probably another 1month or less when I get it tuned. I'll probably get those $180 catco cat to replace the compliance cat.
  14. Great! I hope thats the same across different state (I should check that out). I'm a bit paranoid over the limit as mine is just on the line of 92 and thinking that 90 is the limit kinda made me wanna downgrade to a quieter Regu06 (Justjap just had them in stock). Thats a thumbs up for people chasing legal exhaust dB as I find 90dB is almost impossible to reach for most aftermarket exhaust (as it varies from mods and vehicle). Heres the ADR I've got and I've seen someone posting a vehicle model specific test rpm level on the forum before too. ADR_28.01_FRLI_Mar_06.pdf
  15. Isnt it 90dB according to ADR?? You might want to check that.
  16. Someone with the Regu 06R should get the exhaust tested and tell us whats the dB reading is!!! Justjap just told me they've got the Regu06 in stock for 33GTR and I'm tempted again to downgrade mine for the benefit of a quieter and complying exhaust system (ok maybe not really possible to get it below 90 but 90-91 would be good enough).
  17. Using RE55 now and they're awesome. I feel very safe doing corners at higher speed comparing to the old chinese shit. Having said that, they're too exp to replace (bought wheel and they came with it). I've heard good stuff about KU36 (slivia forum is selling them cheap) and Federal 595SS (a lot of people can get it cheap here). With the price them $235 for 265/35/18 KU36 and SS, you cant go wrong.
  18. Thanks for the info, exactly what I need for the AFM question. I dont know if the N1 comes with a different capacity fuel pump or not but as stated, everything's stock. All I know is it came with an oil cooler which stand GTR doesnt have and the other pumps are N1 rated as well (not sure which are and arent). Yes I will be pushing the injectors but it they're running 95%-98% duty I dont think I'll have much problem as I have no plans on further mods/power. And I dont thrash the car.
  19. Yea thats what I was told as well. Might need to increase the pressure with a fuel regulator. Any recommendations for replacement cat? I saw justjap selling catco and xforce ones for pretty cheap prices but I dont know weather if they'll do the job. Have hear bad stuff about metal cats melting and ceramic is preferred. Cheers!
  20. hmm... So assuming a good tuner should be able to hit 290-295 without much problem for a safe tune. If so I'll be happy enough.
  21. 2nd that. My boost comes on around 4000-4500 and you will feel it probably around 5500... and thats untuned.
  22. Guys! I've spoken to the guy thats gonna tune the car and he reckons I dont need anything else other than a standard pfc and boost controller to get that power. I had previously consulted another fellow N1 owner and he assure me even the injectors will be fine (around 95%-98% duty cycle) if 300kW is all that I'm after. And I should be running 14psi as low boost, 18psi as high and cut at 20psi. Basically I want to retain the stock parts as much as possible with the maximum efficiency being achieved (dont want to devalue the car). Having said that, the only after market part I have currently is a trust full titanium exhaust system with compliance cat (might need to get a proper sized one?). I'm not sure what power it is currently having too (only had the car for 3months and spent 1 month fking around with the a/c). Any recommendation for cat if I need 1? All I need is some confirmation as to whether or not 300kW is achievable at this level (when I say 300kW doesnt mean it'll have to 300, 290-300 will be fine too). Thanks!!
