Faq: Apexi Powerfc - Frequently Asked Questions
Brandon replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
What I read was the pros were earlier versions of pfc and should be compatible with all normal pfc handcontrollers that were manufactured during that period. Like you've said the newer ones has got different model number (415-N001 was the exact model on nengun for the hc). Thanks for the info. -
Very keen. Is it possible to meet you guys 1/2 way? I might not be able to make it there by 10am... =x
-
I asked for model... not serial (if there is 1). I assume there's no such thing as model? If you guys know what I mean. When you talk about serial number, it'll be a unique number for every product of the same model. But maybe there's no such thing. If so my question will solely be if this handcontroller is compatible with the pfc pro (I did a search online and everyone seems to be talking about the model number listed on nengun which is of no help when I only have the serial number).Thanks.

Faq: Apexi Powerfc - Frequently Asked Questions
Brandon replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Doesnt the Apexi boost controller kit for PFC gets controller via the handcontroller? Also I'm looking at getting a PFC Pro for the 33gtr but it doesnt have a handcontroller. My question would is, is the handcontroller for a normal PFC compatible with the PRO? Handcontroller http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ap...87#entry4742587 PFC Pro http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ar-t281327.html Thanks! -
yea... no mutiple by some random numbers What do you mean by replacing shocks? Are you going adjustable? If thats the case, just get 1 thats suitable for 33GTRs. I'm sure Nengun or the like would provide the coilover models for the car variant. If its adjustable, I dont see why you cannot make it close to, if not the same as the stock ones.

Why Are R34 Gt-r Still So Expensive
Brandon replied to rehab2010's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
+1 for cars are NEVER sold for listed price but they do provide some kind of analysis for how the market is like. I was planning to buy a 34gtr last yr and havent been looking at prices since I buy the 33. But recently I went on and have a quick check on both auctions and carsales, prices have dropped quite a fair bit and clean 33s are holding the value if not going up a little (looks clean but not neccessarily). There's a black 34 vspec thats selling for around 50k if i remembered correctly and to me that will be a good buy since black are generally more exp than the other colours (other than limited editions). Auction prices have came down by around 500k yen as well. And maybe 100k for 33s. -
Looks alright to me. If you have the ability (or connections) to repair stuff yourself or maintain (if its a lemon) it I reckon cheap GTRs are the way to go but if you're like me, dont bother as it'll just end up costing you more. In any case, your doesnt sound anything close to being a lemon but hey, you can only speculate so much when you havent seen/drive/check the car. Best bet is get a third party inspection done if you're really keen. Just by reading what you've type doesnt tell much. To answer your questions, I dont know much about suspensions but from doing some research GTRs should all come with nonadjustable "coilover" (someone mention shock absorber + spring = coilover). And like you've said, the vspec might have a different type of spring or shock. Try searching for it. Second question is just personal opinion, respray = NO x 12903781027348901274897 for me as the first thing that comes to my mind is bad accident. Its not like you're spraying any unqiue or fancy colours so I'm sure most people will have the same impression.

Yesh Madam. http://www.gtrblog.com/2008/06/12/singapor...ts-matte-black/ http://852racing.com/Images/blog_03122009_...e_r35_gtr_1.jpg http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...sa%3DN%26um%3D1 (the orange 33 looks like something that came out from Tokyo Drift...) But like I told you on msn, theres no words to describe seeing that in real life. I think this has been posted somewhere in the r35 GTR thread some time ago.

Import Advice - Series 3 R33 Gtr
Brandon replied to evilGTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Yea. Rare is good but not everyone's a big fan of that colour. Its not like black or white which are liked by most people. Even though the LM's got a better spec over N1 I'll take the N1 due to colour. On a 2nd note, what does the series 3 have which the other doesnt? All I know are they're newer and the projectors. Anything else which will contribute to the price difference. -
Import Advice - Series 3 R33 Gtr
Brandon replied to evilGTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
LEMAN! But the Ks seems a lil high (might be a good sign as I tend to think they're hw Ks instead of thrashed Ks). If you can nego that down to 25k that'll be a very good buy I reckon. PS: unless you really like that colour... else dont bother. -
Maybe he should change his job to be the casino cuppa boy.

Sweet. Another 34! Tris: Z Tuned not your cup of tea eh?

Nur33 Soon To Be A Time-attack Weapon.

Very nice diffuser! I like =D. I wonder how it'll look on a white car. -
Second that... at the end of the day its only an N1 on the VIN. But if you're not gonna sell it maybe it does make sense.
-
Let me know how you go cause I'll be looking for 1 seriously in 2months time due to money issue (saving up for it now!). I'm pretty keen in getting Gavin Wood to do mine (heard a lot of good stuff about him) and getting a De-Jetro with the PFC boost controller kit that I've told you before (clean looking "stock" car).
-
The whole hoha thing about Vipec's launch control is kinda stupid if you ask me. The De-Jetro version of PFC does everything the Vipec does at around the same price. The only difference is more people are experienced in tuning the PFCs comparing to vipec. At the end of the day it depends on your tuner. If he's more comfortable with vipec then thats the way you will go. But having said that, you choose your tuner and its the tune that matters... not the ecu.
