well the car got on the boat he said it would. Very happy with mark hocking, BTW. i have about 200 pictures of everthing - the car inside and out, it being driven to the boat, it being drien ON the boat, it sitting in the park space on the boat, it being tied down, all the shit being hidden (log books, flares, timer, speed meter etc). Ship docks at brisbane 15th march, left japan today (27th feb) so really thats about 2 1/2 weeks or so. Decent!

why did i ever mention it... now i have a forum PET name. I should get them to change my sign in. I'll be pretty happy with my setup. Its mainly cos i work in car audio - #1 people expect you to have a decent setup. #2 i can install it and tune it myself etc. #3 i can get car audio cheap as chips straight from the reps and suppliers so i may as well. What it would cost most ppl for a deck, amp and sub, i get a full car worth of decent gear. A couple of 15s with speakers to give decent mid and high range iand im happy. Im not a bass addict, but i believe you get a much better sound by getting high quality gear and pushing it to half its potential, than by getting basic gear and maxing it out. Ive taken out a fair few SQ comps over the last few years, and built systems for customers who have done very well. SQ at volume over just bass ANY day.

Sonofabitch i KNEW youd post up and make us all look bad haha.... Is the coilpack cover in these alloy as well? What is the cam gear cover made of? is it all alloy, if youve managed to polish it up like that? And is that the stock inlet plenum too? Makes mine look sh1t haha...

JBL FTW... love the gear hey. Running a 900RMS jbl amp to a pair of 400RMS 15"s, and a 6ch will power 6" front splits, 6" 3-way rears, and 6x9's in the tailgate. Gonna be massive, but still run a very decent SQ. Hoping for 145dB at the least, too...

How many KMs was the round trip on average? How long were you all together for? Full day?

Your cam covers are alloy - should polish them. And the gear cover (im pretty sure) is stamped steel? strip it... polish it too... :-)

He owns a carline mufflers. He'd just get his lackys to do it for a song. :-) But im not paying 500-1000 for something that i dont think is gonna make a difference to my setup. Any gains would not be noticeable enough to warrant the cash. Not till the turbo upgrade, at any rate.

Yeah the shorter pipework makes more sense, as does keeping it from the turbo, but then there'd be less shininess. Who else has decent engine bays....?

bah. PFC it is. I see you can get them from Nengun for $920 with the hand controller, and the PFC boost controller is about 350. Pricey - but apparently worth it with a couple of supporting mods. Oh plus $4-500 for some bastard to tune it.

stealing ur idea a lil... when i get the car im going to see what sort of finish is on the paint. if its not like GLASS, i will be rubbing back the clear coat a lil and busting out a few coats, so i can rub it back to smooth with some 2000grit paper and buff it to mirror finish. Black has to be SUPER shiny to be good i reckon... Getting an aero grille too, through slidewize imports, and doing something tricky with the taillights. I better get second pole position for being second person to post haha.... Big cruise down to sydney! SLeep in the back of teh waggins. Or string hammocks between them.
