Pretty sure you could get the 260RS in black S1, but not RSfour etc. Ive seen a fair few black S1 260RS's while we were searching for this one, but none in as good a condition. If so own one of a few original black, 5spd manual S1's haha... Might give IAMSHE a call. Anyone got contact details....?? I might get S2 taillights, but will probably just tint the indicators on the factory ones - to suit the dark paint. Got 50 photos of the car sent to me - will post up after work.

Not sure where i am going for compliance - i was going to ask for recommendations on who did some of yours. If you know of anyone who will do a good job that would be excellent if you could let me know. Ryan i ended up getting the car for just under 1.5mil. Its big and black and fast and oh how well will it HANDLE omg.... coilovers and brembos... i wonder what width tyre i can run under it. FIRST MODS - clear front and side indicators! orange on black looks so bad... Then a decent, flowing cat-back exhaust. you have NO IDEA how excitied i am... Actually, you probably do!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Im hoping for a fairly smooth process as far as compliancing goes, the car is dead stock except for the aftermarket coilovers. Might need to borrow some aussie DOT approved tyres for compliancing - the tyres on the car ae new so i really dont want to fork out for tyres when i dont really need them. Im bouncing off the walls hey, you shouldve seen me after the 5 or 6 phone calls from Japan throughout the process - was crazy. So yes... now the wait...

Interested in the sideskirts, and probably the front bar. I want to get rid of the 260RS front bar and side skirts - nismo kit looks much nicer. DOnt suppose youd want to swap? Between me and jason the kits nerly gone - just find someone who wants a rear bar.

I know... the wait is killing me ALREADY.... A few S1's did come with Neo engines, but only in non-turbo form. +1 for wrong picture - its not uncommon.

OK here are a few pics and details of the car - Black 97 Autech 260RS 66,000km grade 4B Has aftermarket coilovers Has HKS Piping in the engine bay so Im thinking it may have an aftermarket HKS intercooler Has HKS turbo timer, and something else underneath it. pic below - what the hell is the bottom one? Brembos look neat and ive heard they do the job amicably too... Yeah definitely needs a wash but you get the idea. Original! From the back... stock exhaust still too. Yes its fog. Not smoke. Thats where its at! RB26 mayhem. 65,700km so far on this bad boy. Original autech wheels with "autech version - front use only" stickers till on.

This is exactly what i have Mark looking for in japan for me... but about $5k above my price range, so i'll probably find myself in a slightly older one. If it were $20k, complied, id buy it this weekend!! 260RS FTW

they WERE 329 when they were first released about 18 months ago - probably longer. All speakers come down as they stay in the market. JB might have em for 170, who knows. Like i said, pioneer are currently about to distribute their new model splits to replace the TSC-1625s, so stores will be pressured to move the old ones out. If JB has heaps of em, theyll need to move them faster, and thus sell them cheaper. But to be honest even at $200 or $250, they are a good sound for their money.

nah just his mobile one. I will try him again tomorrow - drama is i have the cash for a car waiting, just need to go over the exact details of what i want with him so he knows what to be looking for. I was going thru Ben Lippa at J-Spec, but Mark came highly recommended.

Fairly standard price actually. THose speakers have been discontinued - pioneer arent making them any more. We were selling them for about $250 about 3 months ago, but pioneer are releasing the new versions in probably a fortnight, so all places will be selling out of old stock. That said, they are still an EXCELLENT speaker for their money.

Ive tried calling but all i get is a hot asian voice telling me 'hi, this is NTT Docomo. Your call cannot be put through". In japanese, of course. It has been 9 days. No reply. I dont live on a computer, but i reply sooner than that - especially if it involves a business transaction of $25,000+.

so if the number in japan is 090 1517 ****, id dial 0011 8190 1517 **** 0011 to dial OUT of aus, 81 is japans country code... like ours is 61 i guess. Any know what TIME it is there right now?

Thats awesome thanks for the link and the info. Im now pretty certain that the stagea Auto will take it especially with a cooler, the steering will be fine, the trailer brakes will assist enough. Would a shift kit help the auto from being a bit slushy under the weight, or is it not necessary? Recommendations?
