  1. Well im not chasing a ridiculous amount of power. Basically until i own the car outright in a few years, all i want to do is run a decent exhaust, change the filter to a decent panel one, run an e-boost or similar, and just cruise it as is. Just enough to give it a bit more kick. I have a 600x300c100 fmic sitting in my shed that i may be able to plumb into the original GTR pipework, if so i'll do that too. So the components are - dumps (split or not - this runs the wastegate as a seperate pipe?), front pipe, cat, then your cat back system comprising of your muffler andrear pipe?

  3. Thats a fair call brad, someone on here will know. I just have no idea ho far to keep the two pipes seperate for etc... ie are they tuned length like primaries on headers for V8s or what? Seperate dumps then a collector before the cat? Then a decent 3" system right through? Highflow muffler? i dont want a cannon hanging out the back - i like the twin 2.5" pipe look...
  4. crazy. Brad, so what would you recommend as a full exhaust system for the mods im doing? from turbo back, what parts would i run? Bear in mind its not a race car, just after better flow and nice note. I have got in touch with BATMBL regarding some tings but im not sure whats available for stageas and what R33 parts you can use Love to know where i can get the parts, and which brands are popular among the stagea drivers. Fitting is something i can organise no worries.
  5. that seems odd seeing as the exhaust gases are scream FROM the ports through the turbo in the other directon at a great rate of knots...
  6. Ok micah well let me knowif you decide to sell your FC haha... Nah i dont really want to replace turbos at this stage. Bit of expense. What do you recommend as an exhaust system? where do the two pipes from the turbos merge into one? Do the dump pipes made for R33 GTR's fit? I want to go a fairly free flowing system from front to back, with either an empty or highflow cat converter. Trying to lower the resistance in the exhaust, but want to stick to brand name gear, always sounds nicer.
  7. your GReddy eboost II sounds good. What sort of boost am i able run on the stock turbos without causing harm? As said, theres no specific HP im after, just scraping for as much as possible with a few simple mods. The engine should be pretty gutsy as it is. I know they are rated at 206kW, but what is the actual figure on these engines stock? What is an average qtr mile ET for a stagea running a stock 26?
  8. Im not so much going to set myself a target power figure, basically just go for some mild mods without taking the car too far from stock. Things like a full exhaust from the turbos back (twin pipes then, obviusly, this is one area where im not sure what is best) Just going to run a quality panel filter Some form of boost controller (dont really want to run a boost t on a GTR engine) Coilpacks and injectors if necessary Have to look and see if it already has an aftermarket FMIC Possibly stronger clutch Off the top of my head thats all i have. Yeah i know search is always ur best friend, but whenever ive built cars and engines etc i enjoy talking to other guys trying to do something similar, and giving advice etc. Theres heaps of ppl on this site who jump at the chance to help out and give advice which is awesome. Wondering what sort of difference these things make to everyday driveability, and what sort of power you can run with them.
  9. Hey guys A few of you know im sitting on my hands waiting for my 260 to arrive. How many guys with RB26 powered stageas are kicking about on here? Obviously Micah (rb26stagea), unique1 and darrin spencer plus a few others. I wouldnt mind getting to know a few of you as i'll definitely be needing your help (and probably buying your spare parts) from time to time! What sort of mods have been carried out on these engine in stageas? Is hte weight of the car a massive hinderance? This is the first 26 powered car (or twin turbo at all) that ive owned so some of it is a little beyond me. The car already has a HKS FMIC i believe, and a pivot speed meter/fuel cut defender, but stock exhaust and intake etc etc. Am i best posting here in the stagea section, or forced induction performance? i looked for a GTR specific section.   12. Am looking at fitting the Apexi Power Intake to the Stagea which runs the R33 GTR RB26. The kit comes with the two pods, brackets and bolts, twin cast AFM mounts etc. Will i need anything else to hook this up? The reason i ask is that i have no got the car yet, and haveing never had a 26DETT before i was concerned about whether it runs 1 AFM or two, one for each turbo. Quick response from someone who has one would be fantastic. Also, for the $300 or so it will cost me, is this a good value mod for a can running fairly standard but with a highflow cat and cat back exhaust, FMIC and 12PSI? Looking to upgrade the computer, coilpacks and turbo's at a later date also, as well as finish the exhaust from the turbo back. Cheers guys..
  13. i know this, and i know who they imported it through aswell, and that is exactly what im talking about. Didnt think that the 04 models were compliant yet due to theemission laws having ben changed.
  14. I thought 2004 moel stageas where a lil bit er... iffy.... Pretty sure there are a couple of guys currently having issues as we speak...? Or have these finally been made compliant?
  15. You should post up in forced induction performance - that way other RB engine owners who dont drive stageas will see it. Better chance of having a detailed reply. Also, in the forced induction performance area, do a search for "boost T install" etc and i guarantee someone has written a DIY - i know cos ive seen it.
  16. Oh excellent! Thats pretty scary but ok! And this was in an RSFour-S - the 5 speed manual... Definately looking for to stretching the cars legs!
  17. Is genuine k's. The interior of the car has no wear and tear at all (ie steering wheel, seats, gear shifter and handbrake, carpet, all like new) Plus has full service records etc. Might be a damper adjustment for the coilovers... not sure.
  18. Very tidy! S2 taillights are a nice touch - waiting on front indicators....? What time of day was the first shot taken? That looks outstanding - nice with the car off to one side, more like a prop than the main feature of the photograph.

  22. I was wondering why the autech wheels on my 260rs have stickers on them saying "front only" and "rear only". Are R34 GTR wheels staggered offset? Is it more suited to the vehicle to get wheels with the same offset difference as the stock autech wheels?
