  1. My car's going well, thanks Ryan. There are a few minor issues, but that's to be expected and is all a part of the ownership experience, right? How on earth did you manage to get 10l per 100Km? Tha's fantastic for a Stagea! As for the wedding cars, I know there are at least five M35's down here in Sydney - andy65b (Andy), Jetwreck (Craig), zei20l (Ian), NRVOUS (Tony), cogdog (Mitch) and Paramour (Julius) are the main ones I find remember after a quick search. As for up in Newcastle, I'll let Ian's post guide you there...
  2. I believe in the Driver Education approach, but it's gotta be matched with an attitude adjustment and education in this area too - that will be the key, in my eyes. No, it won't work with everyone - sometimes people (and quite likely, newly-licenced drivers) will still have that "holier than thou, I'm better than everyone else" outlook, but if it actually helps to reduce the number of people injured or killed on our roads, then how can you put a price on that? It might even help reduce our insurance costs.
  3. Happy Birthday Ando - trays of ice cubes are heading your way!!!
  4. Ryan, there are quite a few M35s in Sydney now - not sure who owns a white one, though. Post your question up in the Stagea section here...
  5. Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a plug-and-play PFC for the Stagea (unless you own a 260RS, in which case the R32 or R33 GT-R PFC will work). The Stagea is the only RB25DET-powered Nissan that also has AWD, so a few "tweaks" need to be done to get it working. Do a search for the "secret squirrel tweak" here in the Stagea section... A manual gearbox is a priority, but as Duncan mentioned, Mark @ Hills Motorsports is looking for someone with an auto so he can trial running the PFC with the ECU for the auto, and see if he can get them co-operating.
  6. Hmm, I got a voucher from my oldies and my sister for Xmas, so I think that's going to go towards an EBC. Other than that, here's some things I'd like to get done to the wagon over the year, depending on available funds: priority #1 - get the air-con working again ASAP as it hasn't worked since fitting the PFC (long story short, there was no PFC made to suit a Stagea, so there are a few gremlins to sort out); get some GT-R seats and re-trim the rears and door cards to match; get a rear wing, probably just the regular Stagea one or maybe the 260RS version; re-do the stereo - new head unit (probably a single-DIN DVD player with reversing camera), replace speakers, add amplifiers and a sub, and sort out any rattles; get some engine bits coated and maybe try and tidy up the engine bay in general, which may hiding some of the wiring; upgrade brakes to R33 GTSt/R32 GT-R units front and rear, with braided lines - should make it much easier to replace pads when the time comes; replace turbo (if it blows) with a GT-RS or something similar with good response, and get some more minor work done for more power and response overall...
  7. Spotted two yesterday (NYE), both on exactly the same area of the same stretch of road, but around 10mins apart. The first was a silver s1 (rego BAY-76Z, I think), with some silver pinstriping on the tail lights in a rectangular pattern. The second was the white s2 that I've seen quite a bit in my area over the past year or so (rego COP-003). Both spottings were on Seven Hills Rd (aka Prospect Highway) right near the intersection of Station Road, and both cars were heading away from Abbott Road and the M2...
  8. Him recommending a Hyundai probably reflects how much he knows about cars...
  9. Not sure about the silver one, it might or might not be the same one I've seen around Winston Hills a few times now, who knows? The white one (if it's an s1) might be Duncan, who lives near Victoria Rd.
  10. Spotted a gunmetal grey R32 GT-R parked at the Homemaker centre in Castle Hill this afternoon around 4.45pm.
  11. Hey Hugh, our cars are becoming a closer and closer match every day, lol. I've got the GReddy one, and it attaches on the driver's side strut tower, behind the battery, where your fuel filter bracket is (which you will need to trim a little bit if it is like mine). I don't have a picture at the moment, but will try and get one for you later and post it up...
  12. Spotted this same GT-R in Girraween around 9.30pm on Christmas Eve!
  13. I've never gained a point against my license, and I got my P's waaaaaaay back in '91!!! That was way before the whole 3-year thing. Apart from a few parking fines, I've only ever had one offence, where I got caught by a red light camera on New Year's Day, but I wrote in and got off because I had a genuine reason - there was a truck behind me when I went through, I didn't know if it was loaded or not (it was a rigid pantech with those tarpauline roll-down covers), and we'd just come off a long downhill stretch. I honestly didn't know if he would stop on time, there was hardly any traffic, so I weighed up the risk and took it... Oh, I also got off a Neg driving charge when my car ran into another from behind (my old man's car, actually, as we were on our way out with two car-loads of visitors), but I hit his car because I was pushed from behind.
  14. Merry Christmas, everyone!!!
  15. Spotted an orange Lambo Gallardo this afternoon around 4.30pm, on the railway overpass bridge in Toongabbie, of all places.
  16. I'll take what Ian wants, but 3 of them stacked! Hahaha, nah, I kinda like the ones that just subtly extend out over the rear window, like the ones you see on the C34's (and which I wish I had on mine )...
  17. Hmmm, I dunno, the Nismo wing, in my opinion, looks like an afterthought. It doesn't "flow" with the shape of the rest of the car.
  18. That would be Tokyo Geoff.
  19. Happy birthday, Christian! And many happy returns! If it wasn't for you, we clowns would not have this wonderful forum to exchange info/chat/pick on each other/organise events etc. on! Big props to you for setting it up all those years ago!
  20. Make sure you don't burn your hands on the exhaust, that's the last thing you'll want. Either work on the car when it is dead cold, or use gloves.
  21. Hahaha, I thought it was Jay (is that his username?) saying that he had to help you move stuff into the house.
  22. Saw a Ferrari Mondial today parked at the homemaker centre in Castle Hill. They look great from the front or back, but the side profile just plain sucks!
  23. Bump! There have been quite a few new SAU people buying Stageas recently, so I thought was a good a time as any to remind people of this group... Link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#...gid=17462900896
