  1. Saw a massive one this afternoon, the expansion joints on the Prospect Highway entry onto the M4. I saw it very late and tried to avoid the worst of it, but even the smaller bit that I did hit was pretty bad and sent a good shake through the car.
  2. Like that one at the roundabout in Seven Hills near The Beer Factory, Brett?I'm glad that's finally fixed properly after the 10+ dodgy attempts!
  3. Nice! Oh, Skoda Octavia will be coming out in an RS230 version soon, I think. Not sure if it'll be available here in Oz, but there's a test/drive feature in the latest Motor magazine (December 2015 issue).
  4. Not sure if you're considering new or used cars, or how far your budget stretches, but have you considered a new Golf R Wolfsburg wagon?
  5. Spotted a silver s2 C34 parked in a business' yard on Wentworth Avenue in Pendle Hill. Seen this same car in the same location plenty of times before, but it's usually parked on the street opposite that yard.
  6. There's also the issue of people who hear things and take them as fact, instead of sharing their own first-hand experiences. There's plenty of the "my girlfriend's dog's breeder's cousin's father-in-law said blah blah blah about Workshop XYZ and the car exploded into mothballs when he tried to do a burnout" kind of people. There are facts and there are opinions, and some have a hard time distinguishing between the two.
  7. People shouldn't sue the forum owners for what users may have posted about them and/or their businesses, but it hasn't stopped people from trying. Hence why the rule exists.
  8. Well, all the SAU-NSW merchandise is being handed over to a new person to deal with, so it's all packed ready for tomorrow's transfer. Hardly taxing on the capacity of the boot, and thankfully I didn't have more if this stuff to pass on.
  9. LOL, I remember Reece doing some of the courses in reverse and still beating people! That guy is beyond amazing (and a top bloke, to boot)!
  10. If you ever consider buying one of these, DO NOT buy the CVT "Multitronic" one - my old man has one and I hate the way it performs. Luckily the quattro versions can't be optioned with the CVT. Oh, and the B9 version should be out soon...
  11. Half a six-pack is clearly not enough if the issue is still there!
  12. Keep an eye on this thread: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/forum/33-events/
  13. Drift School Australia run days in the carpark behind Sydney Dragway @ Eastern Creek. They're not cheap, but the cost covers the use of their cars, their fuel, their tyres, their maintenance, etc.
  14. Spotted a dark blue s1 RS-Four on Bungaribee Road around Doonside, it was behind me so I couldn't catch the plates. I was in my white Golf wagon.
  15. Spewing I didn't come to this, our meals at Rooty Hill RSL were less than average, and pretty pricey too. Not happy.
  16. Bugger, I can't make this after all. Family get-together that I can't miss...
  17. I noticed the other day that my old man, who's been using my car as a bit of a workhorse because it's bigger than his own car, has managed to chip and/or scratch the glass on TWO of my Defi gauges, and also scratched the top of my head unit on the frame above the display. When I confronted him on it, he simply dismissed with an "It's alright..." and I said, "Umm, no it's NOT. If I did that to your car you'd have the shits. These are $400 gauges, you know I spent a big chunk of money on these." I slightly exaggerated the cost to try and make an impact, but I may as well not have bothered. I'll have to get photos.
  18. We had an SAU charity cruise starting from there many years ago, and that restaurant at the time had just been opened as part of the Ribs & Rump chain!
  19. This: and this: If you want more precise answers, then we need more precise questions. And spelling and punctuation doesn't have to be perfect, but (please!!!) at least make some effort here. If you're prepared to spend time asking questions on here, at least spend some of that time getting it right.
  20. Spotted a beautiful silver R34 GTt heading north (away from the freeway and towards Panthers, etc.) on Mulgoa Road in Penrith on Friday night around 7pm, it was lowered to perfection (in my opinion) and sat on a nice set of dark grey or black wheels - can't remember what type/style they were, unfortunately.
  21. Oh, love those wheels too! Catch up soon, hey? Maybe when it's a bit warmer or in an afternoon or something.
  22. Having dealt with Marcus before, I would recommend him! A+++
