  1. I have a few graphs below taken off my own car. Timing graph with the OEM CAS Ross trigger kit. That's using the 34 - 2 timing wheel.
  2. Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results. It's top of this section. Look through this. Plenty of info, it's been asked many times.
  3. From what I can gather, I don't think they like to budge on the ratios they have on offer.Ill sit down and work out the difference between standard 34 ratios and the PPG ratios, then throw in what they are on 4.11's.
  4. As Brett said. Also, good luck getting one. A fellow member has had one on order since June I think. Delay, delay, delay. I just got a lengthy email back from PPG. Gonna call him on Monday and organise to fly down to Adelaide and drive the different boxes. He said that the helical, synchro set will do the job but really is pushing the dog set. He owns a GTR with that box in it. Been in the car for 6 years/40,000 kms and its all sweet.

  6. Yeah, that's what the guy I'm talking to said he could do. 1-4 dog straight and 5th helical synchro. I need to drive one to get some sort of idea of what these dog boxes are about.

  9. Bah. The guy misunderstood me with what I wanted. They won't do the "mix n match". He is trying to sell me the dog set, saying his old lady drives it no problems.
  10. Yeah mate.Not keen on dogs and I can deal with a bit of noise in the lower gears. Apparantly PAR do what I'm after but I want a PPG set. This set will use all the Series 3 33 gear inside, so servicing shouldn't be a drama. Should have a price tomorrow. At the end of the day, it's still a street car with full interior. I don't mind chucking the keys around, so if I have a hard to use/expensive to repair box, it sorta takes the "easy to drive" away from it.
  11. No issues with ABS at all. When I changed the front diff it played havoc with the rear though.

  13. Some sort of progress. Emailed PPG yesterday and asked if they will do a straight cut 1-4, helical 5th synchro box for me. They said yes! Waiting on pricing. They did say, it would be a good idea to go to the bigger input which will mean clutch modification, so ill male some calls with that tomorrow.

  21. Marcus, I built this box about 5 years ago when I smashed the OEM box. That was a shock loading through my own fault.That big dildo is long gone. Stupid POS! Need to get it out and inspect. If (hoping) the gearset has survived (not liking my chances) ill put new bearings through it and whatever has failed then screw it back together, but from what Terry has said, it's a shock loading more than likely. When I did it, I'm not sure. Not sure when I'll get to it with Xmas and shit coming up. The plan is ill wash it and drain the E85 out of it and flush with some 98. The car ain't going anywhere so ill just take my time.
