    The "E10" you get from the pump would be a different fuel to an "E85" diluted with 98.

    G4 is brilliant, just depends on how many items you want to run off it. Flex fuel, crank trigger, wide band, oil pressure, fuel pressure... You run out of inputs very quickly.

    I was down at Import Monster two weeks ago. If I didn't already own my Series 3, I would have bought this. It's also the best colour too!

    So you reckon the dogs ain't that bad? I've spoken to PPG the other day, damn long phone call. He is getting back to me with pricing on the straight cut synchro IF they're willing to do it. The guy I'm dealing with has the helical dog set in his own GTR and loves it. Just need to drive one to see what the go is.

    Had the same issue. I drilled mine out to 12 mm and used high tensile bolts. Rock solid!

    End of the day the N1/NUR or whatever "factory" RB 26 engines are nothing special at all. They still have cast pistons FFS. N1 oil pump - meh N1 water pump - not needed on the street N1 block - take it or leave it "Balanced crank" - any half decent machine shop can do that. A basic RB 26 rebuild would be by far better value for money.

    Destroke it. RB 08. 31 mm stroke. Sound better too.

    So, putting cams in a basic setup like the one mentioned above is a bad idea because it may push the curve to the right a tad, but putting a bigger engine in the car which will push the curve to the left is also bad?

    I forget what I paid now. They're a tad more exxy than the Jap stuff but that's because Yavuz gets them done one or two sets at a time. Both profiles use the standard buckets, so although the sticks are more expensive, you don't have the added cost of Tomei buckets for the 30mm base circle.

    I have a few graphs below taken off my own car. Timing graph with the OEM CAS Ross trigger kit. That's using the 34 - 2 timing wheel.

    Ratios in diffs are the same. They're 4.11's in R 32 and R33's.

    From what I can gather, I don't think they like to budge on the ratios they have on offer.Ill sit down and work out the difference between standard 34 ratios and the PPG ratios, then throw in what they are on 4.11's.

    As Brett said. Also, good luck getting one. A fellow member has had one on order since June I think. Delay, delay, delay. I just got a lengthy email back from PPG. Gonna call him on Monday and organise to fly down to Adelaide and drive the different boxes. He said that the helical, synchro set will do the job but really is pushing the dog set. He owns a GTR with that box in it. Been in the car for 6 years/40,000 kms and its all sweet.

    Yeah, that's what the guy I'm talking to said he could do. 1-4 dog straight and 5th helical synchro. I need to drive one to get some sort of idea of what these dog boxes are about.
