  1. You'd almost sell your soul for more midrange twist .
  2. Head gone, payment pending.
  3. Why such low compression ratio?
  4. ^^ what size? How much power you going for? What's the rest of the setup? Cams, capacity, comp ratio?
  5. Try Racepace in Melbourne.
  6. 79.3 mm stroke and 118.92 mm rods off the top of my head.
  7. When are you dropping the hardware off to get fitted?
  8. OP, if it were me (with a standard bottom end), I'd be putting -9's on it, pegging it at 23 psi or so and make a responsive 340-350 on E85 - seeing that you're going down the E85 route anyway. The car will have much more area under the curve than a -5 car. I really think -5's on a 2.6 are still a bees dick too big. They really need a stroker. I'd offer my own car up for a drive but my box is deaded and its not really a fair comparison to what you're going to get with a stock engine.
  9. They're cheap enough. Run them hard and if they pop, buy more.
  10. What's the rest of your setup like? Cams? Exhaust size? dumps?
  11. Wheels are goooonnnneeeee.
  12. A guy is coming to pick them up tonight.
  13. Character building, mofo. Along with the pumps, diffs and who knows what else
  14. Some more items I found today Item 1: RB 26 head Price: $50 or a case of beer Condition: This came out of my last engine. It has some damage on the cam journals, missing 2 or 3 caps, every exhaust valve is bent but intake valves are fine. It has been ported and it made 426 RWKW at 24 psi using -5's. Maybe a few caps and a tunnel bore with some new valves would make it usable, I don't know. If it doesn't sell, i'll turn it into a coffee table. Item 2: Sparco quick release Price: $45 Condition: Brand new. I just wont use it. Item 3: Tomei Type A springs and retainers Price: $150 Condition: Fine. Came out of the head above. I'm not 100% sure on the retainers, possibly factory. These were in the head for 35,000 kms. Item 4: OEM RB26 coil packs Price: $100 Condition: I think we ran into issues around 400-410 rwkw mark. I believe IIRC we changed the ignitor at the same time. These were on the car for no more than 7,000 kms.
  15. The PPG dog sets or the helical synchro. I've spoken to their sales guy at length. He reckons the dog box is fine, just man up. We have 3-4 guys that will be buying a set at once, just a matter of when.
  16. Interesting. Be pretty keen to see what you think of it and how noisy it'll be. I can't make up my damn mind with my box.
  17. What PPG set did you get? When is it going in?
  18. Wouldn't have a clue mate.
  19. Any shuffle low end, Jez?
