  1. I think it's a chev spline. 29.xx mm from memory. I don't think they would do it. Too much dicking around for one item.
  2. I'll ring that St Mary's mob tomorrow. Any idea who I should be speaking to? Edit: John apparently
  3. This is the problem.I don't want any downtime. If I buy a new coppermix and can't get it done then I'm rooted. Time to keep calling around I think.
  4. Apparently it is. Something to do with the type of twin they are.No recommendation. I really don't want to move away from it though. My one has been in the car for 9 years. Don't care if I have to buy a new one, but it works and drives awesome.
  5. I couldn't a agree more. There is a HUGE gap in the market. Not everyone wants sequentials but they have the power to warrant a bulldog box. Let's see how this dog box is. Can't be that bloody hard! What I am having troubles with is a clutch to accept the larger spline. I rung Jim berry and asked if he could modify one if I sent him a brand new coppermix. He wasn't sure. Took my number down and is going to get back to me. Suggestions?
  6. Haha. It's really good. ITs just a REALLY tall 2nd 3rd and 4th. 5 gears are crap, although you really need a torquey engine.
  7. haha! $3600. Otomoto want $4,500. Fair deal!4/5 gears work, that's fair
  8. Because everyone that has one raves on about them, I now know why. $1,400 or so. I got mine from the UK but you can get them locally aswell. You don't know it's there until you put your foot down around a corner. No clunking, banging, chirping, just balls out grip when you want it. The stock diffs suck and it's not until you start playing around with them you realise.
  9. Not yet Rosco! I haven't even drained the gearbox oil! I'll get there, one day!
  10. For the front - Quaife. Best mod ever!
  11. Brian crower?
  12. That's really interesting. I've never heard that about the wider gears in the supra boxes. Good to know!
  13. I looked at this option after popping my OS set. Terry at award said forget it. He does alot of them and said it won't hold up too well. (470 rwkw).
  14. I know it's about half of what the "aggressive" JUN's were.
  15. The lift or duration at 0.050? Not sure, but I can ask.
  16. Farken 2J. That is all!
  17. I don't disagree, Nick. Why do you need a cam that will allow the engine to rev to 10k when the turbos are done by 7500? Smaller duration cams are only going to push your curve to the left, which, for what you do is perfect! Give me a 245-250 at 11mm plus lift and I'll be all over it. Bugger top end, big fat meaty curve which noses over at 7000-7500. Done! Hard on the valve train but have it looked at every 20-30 k and IF it needs attention, do it. The jap cams we spun up were very mild in their temp rate, we had two for reference; Tomei Procam 270 @ 10.25 mm JUN 264 @ 10.5 mm Both of which were alot "softer" in their rate of opening the valve than what Yavuz went for. Over discussions he believes that this cam he developed has the same "area" of a larger 280 but without the huge overlap. This is why we made our own.
  18. Can do. I know Yavuz put the same lobe that's in mine onto a 2JZ stick and doing a back to back, picked up a decent whack of grunt, everywhere over the longer duration "jap" cams. Can't remember the figure, but it was significant. You know where he is, get it, take it to him, have a chat.
  19. Not THAT hard to install them. They're ordered and arrived, so I'll be putting them on, I won't be taking them off! Haha.
  20. Give a lobe to Yavuz, "group buy".... $900 I reckon.
