Different boost levels for different ethanol contents smarty . I figured I may aswell use the features on the controller.BC OFF which is 20ish psi
"1" Is 20 ish psi but using the controller to bring it on earlier.
"2" is 24-25 early on settling to 23 top end - to be used with ethanol content over 50
"3" is 28 early on setting to about 26 top end.
Yavuz has put a "oh shit, I've left it on 3 and I have a tank full of 98" safeguard into the ECU. Over a certain boost level with under "x" ethanol content and it'll pull 10 degrees of timing.
Only drove it on "1" last night. Felt quite nippy!
Ill try and upload some videos now. It was only the 98 runs.
One thing I did notice was just how much using the boost controller made to the curve!!!! Even with modified actuators, playing with the controller can make as much as 75 kw difference through the midrange. Ill try and dig out some runs next time I'm out there. Damn crappy waste gate creep!
I have a few runs on the pump blends that I took last night. I know the last E85 run they will take some video. Ill upload it tonight if I get a chance.
The sperm whale got strapped to the rollers tonight. Light load tuning of the E85 tune then Yavuz worked his way down to PULP. Final figure on PULP was 425 at 23 psi top end (25 early on). It was making close to 435 but he backed it off. Final cold start on 98 tomorrow, drain tank and one or two more runs on E85. Yavuz brought back the tune on E85 a bee's dick just to make sure it's a happy camper. He said around 460 it should make.
Pick up is tomorrow .
The amount of fuel Yavuz uses I'm sure it's safe. I have always said " I don't want it unless I can belt it around a track". It's not a one run screamer! That 472 is only after 9 runs from a totally new ECU. It's hardly "the finished product".
Talking to Yavuz today. He wants to try and squeeze 500 out of this setup. Airbox in place. He reckons there is a little left in it. Lets see how the little Turk goes. I don't think it'll get there
Forget the FC and go a real ECU. Link, Vipec, Blackbox.
For the money you're going to spend on installation with the Power FC WITH the MAP sensors, you're much better off with another option. HOMEWORK!
I will this time. Ummm alot more than that!!!! I've already taken it back once... So ill be taking it back and expressing my disappointment that's for sure!
I have an Odyssey super dooper, suck me off piece of garbage in there at the moment. I ALWAYS have it on trickle when it's at home. I accidentally let it go flat when I was waiting for the engine. That was it, been a bucket ever since. Have it on charge all night at Unigroup and it won't even turn the car over hahha.
Some guys you need shafts, others say you don't. I'm a little confused myself. When I get the housing and diff centre (this week hopefully) ill take it to Award and plonk it on the table.
