  1. Count me in for the shirts especially, simple but cool designs there I stickered the hell out of my Commodore but want to keep the Skyline less um stickered.
  2. I think you should go hard and get the information out there (if you have'nt already done so that is) Nobody likes car thieves, put notices in the local newspaper and nearest regional centre newspaper, make some copies and place them on notice boards, talk to all the neighbours in your area, if you can post up a reward for info leading to the recovery do so, cruise around with a mate check out the local car hangouts see if you can spot it and keep in mind they could have altered it or sold it to someone who does'nt even know its stolen. Good luck in the search.
  3. LOL !! Myself, had my car for 10 months and have been pulled over once for a genuine RBT. Policewoman did'nt even look twice at my car, on my way in in 15 seconds. Perks of living in a country town where the V8 utes have it worse than the handful of Skylines.
  4. If I was outnumbered and they had AK-47s ok they can have my pride and joy. Otherwise unable to outrun them or cornered at the lights I'll introduce them to my stainless steel Prolock which is nicely legal to have sitting on your passenger seat.
  5. N.S.T.R. - "Burnin' Up" Napalm Rave Vol. 2 If you listen to this without exceeding the speed limit you probably dont have a pulse lol
  6. On the journey home from picking up my R33
  7. My previous ride being a 87 VL Commodore NA my 93' R33 with possibly 53 000 kms feels like a new car in most respects and is in way better condition than my Dad's 93 Pajero workhorse. There is some clear coat peeling on the rear bumper so I'll have the whole bumper resprayed at some stage. Soon I'll be having the timing belt replaced as its a bit noisy but apart from that I'm thrilled with the car and will have it for many years into the future with regular servicing and TLC. I often look at newer car models and think "Hmm nah I'd rather have my Skyline"
  8. Club Classics on EMI - 3 cds of club hits spanning 20 years. From Black Box : Ride on Time to David Guetta : Love dont let me Go and everything in between including my fave Iio : Rapture.
  9. I'm going on 34 so I did'nt exactly need my parents approval but some sort of positive note from them kind of made me feel better. Myself: "Some Skylines are turbos" My Dad: "You dont need a turbo in a car that small" Once my R33 is bought my Dad has fun outrunning speeding b double trucks on the way home from Adelaide so I got my positive note eventually
  10. The Grudge would be one of my faves, The Ring (Eng version) freaked me right out. The day after I watched it there was a fly on the window beside my computer walking around in circles so that was it for me.
  11. How about Snowflake, Princess or maybe Krystal ?
  12. Tokyo Drift without a doubt is my fave I thought Han drifting around the R33 chicks was cool. Although excessively corny Cannonball Run II was good for the 80's too especially the howling Countache opening part. Okay I obviously have to see Ronin I somehow missed that one
  13. I would have to agree on the Lotus Esprit Turbo there, its way understated compared to the Countache but sometimes less is more. I think the Porsche 934 Turbo should also get a mention despite its rarity.
  14. My R33 GTSt finally got the AVS wheels on
  15. So far I have avoided this with my R33 this but my previous VL Commodore copped it twice at the same Big W car park in the same month and yeah I was p*ssed off . No note, no Icantdriveforshit in sight. So after a lot of choice words I fixed the scrape as best I could and ordered a replacement front bar for the other damage and it was off to the crash repairs.
  16. I think the average person would'nt know a Skyline from a blinged up Magna but would view any car especially a modified and/or unique looking loud car as Hoon material and this impression would increase depending on how the car was driven. Age of the driver would matter to some people but I think they would form their opinions more from the car, the drivers actions and the media stereotyping.
  17. Although I have an immobiliser/alarm I also use a steering wheel lock as a visual deterrent and leave nothing visible lying around inside.
  18. Cant wait to go snowboarding for two weeks in NZ end of August, one problem though I cant take my Skyline with me. I'll be Mr Envy seeing all the hot NZ Skylines while driving my rental Lancer
  19. My first ride was a Volkswagen Type 3 Fastback, followed by a VK, then VL Commodore. My present R33 gives me the biggest thrill especially being my first turbo performance car but I'll never forget the sense of freedom and independence of having my first car. It was very economical too so even though I was still in high school driving around for hours was easy to do. Of course this was also when petrol was slightly more expensive than tap water.
  20. I've seen one new WRX. What were they thinking... Call me a traditionalist but I liked the first few models. I really hope they dont go that way with future EVO's .
  21. Reality Car R35 GTR Dream Car Lotus Esprit Twin Turbo V8
  22. Welcome to SAU Hope you manage to get hold of your Skyline soon, post us some pics when you do. My previous was a VL with the same RB30 engine as the R31 and it was a fun ride, get a manual if you can.
