Got a phone call today from Jim Berry after leaving a message on his phone a couple of weeks ago (when this thread first started). He rang my mobile from QLD and stayed on the phone for 1hr 26 minutes.........he likes a chat and is a terrific guy in his 60's that knows his product inside out. As it turns out, it wasn't until near the end of our conversation that I realized he was an old customer of mine from Adelaide Engine Service days when he used to go by Italia Spares. I learnt today that the R34 GTR's have a twin mass flywheel (2 piece with bearings and separate face & hub) like some European sports cars which means no maching and if it's worn you chuck it.

It's amazing what you hear out there about various tuners from one day to the next. I heard, from what I thought was a reliable source, not to ever take your car to Martin Donan. I've now heard from much more reliable sources that he's the best tuner in Australia. Very big statement, but like I said, I've heard that from reliable sources which include other tuners now.

Yeah thanks Ryan.....I love my 34 GTR (which is probably a bit quicker than the bike now) but there's something about a fat chopper on a highway on a sunny day that can't be explained.

Yeah they would look good on my 34 GTR in either shadow chrome or bronze I reckon.

Unfortunately the Power FC doesn't recognize Nismo AFM's, only STD BNR34, Z32, RB25 and Other. Nismo have a 65mm body like STD units but higher flow rate while Z32 have an 80mm body. Using 'Other' option at the moment and trying to get values right with 700 Sards (STD injectors were 440cc). Can somebody help with some values for the AFM's & injectors to kick us off.........and have we done the right thing by selecting 'Other' or should we have started with Z32 option or similar? Thanks for asking Mobass......ended up getting a length of 76mm from Super Cheap Auto early Sat am. Clamps are crap though and I've got a boost leak now but still managed 334kw atw.

Yeah I was thinking the same sort of numbers that you were. Apparently this is legit software as Access Autoworks are the Aussie agent for Apexi. My mate bought this software and could not get a CD but instead had to download it. He was then issued a number that could ony be used once to register. He went through a lot of hassle just to get another number so he could have it on his laptop and desktop. There has to be a few genius IT guys out there that could get past this hassle then we could all pitch in and order a copy.

Here's a dyno sheet of the latest result but it's still not running right and developed a boost leak on this run. All new GT2860R -5 turbos are now stamped 2560.....there's a spiel about it on the Garrett site. The specs are still GT28 though.

OK, here goes.........I'm the ugly mug sitting down.......this was taken approx 6 months ago. The beard's gone now so I'll have to try and find a more recent pic then edit this post. Ok, found a more recent shot taken late 2007 with my boy.

Does anyone have any values for tuning a Power FC on an R34 GTR with Nismo high flow AFM's. Other mods include full exhaust, GT2860R -5 turbos, Sard 700cc injectors, Nismo fuel pump, bigger FMIC, HKS pods. Want to get the injector and AFM values right before the finer stuff. STD injectors were 440cc.

If its running rich check all pipes for a boost leak. If its running lean check all hoses for vacuum leak.

Yeah it was good to have little chats everytime we stopped at lights......your car looks great out on the road Cara. So......another silver R34 GTR (female driver) out on the road........would be good to catch up and compare notes.

Dam.........I just jumped on here to find out the open times and was hoping it would be b4 10am tomorrow. Need a couple of silicone hoses URGENT early tomorrow but will be other side of town by 10am. Got my GTR on dyno tonight but keeps blowing bottom intercooler hoses under boost.........they're a bit too short.
