Gumtree help! Need to contact somebody, but I'm overseas
GTR-N1 replied to Drtytrix's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Pete, the guy on Gumtree has made contact via an automatic PM. I've replied on your behalf. And you have first dibs. Yes, I've requested his email address once more. I told Pete that if you and he don't come to terms, I'm happy to possibly buy it myself. -

AUTO SELECT makes a special number plate bracket for the front. * It's spring loaded. * It tucks underneath at speed * It only works on larger plates such as these

From a Valuation Threshold point of view Re GT-Rs, one could probably imagine (in approximation only), three tiers... First (Entry) Level:- * Just Car (Suncorp Group and Underwritten by Australian Associated Motor Insurers Ltd), * Lumleys SV (Underwritten by Wesfarmers General Insurance Ltd) Second Level:- * Shannon's (Underwritten by Australian Alliance Insurance Company Ltd), * NRMA Vintage Veteran & Classic (Underwritten by Insurance Australia Ltd) Third Level:- * Dawes Motor Insurance (Dawes Underwriting Australia P/L) Every Policy PDS is different. * One company will offer you a choice of repairer - another one will only offer you a choice if the quote is cheaper than their own preferred repairer. * One company will offer you salvage rights - another one omits any mention of salvage rights. * One will offer you a free windscreen in any year - another one will not. Please read your PDS to see if that policy suits you. Once you sign up, you still have 7 days (or 6 more days) to cancel the policy. Basically, this process is the equivalent of the old term, "cover note". -
Nrma Vintage And Classic Insurance

Series 3 wasn't discussed sorry. "Low Km" is relative. I cannot add to that except to say that in an insurance claim, you'd be pretty safe if parts of the car are in quality, consistent with the odometer reading. Conversely, if the car's odometer reads 60,000Km but the condition of the car looks like an overused POS, question marks (red flags) will lead to further investigation. Remember that the maximum Agreed Value is for cars in VG Condition (and not rusty or in need of repair). In any contractual agreement, there's give and take. The last thing we need in our genre of cars is for scammers to make claims for profit. Whilst NRMA VVC is competing for business, I'd hate to think that the 5 insurance companies which vie for our dollars could ever drop back to 4, or worse still, 3. -
Has anyone been caught up in substantial price rises of late?

I wonder if NRMA VVC is going off Beau Stanton's R32 GT-R F/s on Fb "GTR AND GTR PARTS SALES PAGE". $29,000 with stacks of Nismo (some of it new) gear all through it. No accidents. No rust. -

I learnt last week of a 2015 Pug RCZ-R f/s too, but that's for a bigger budget as well. Lol Ah well...

Without knowing what your short list includes, I learnt at my local Chinese restaurant tonight of a 2014 Lexus IS-F with 20,000Km that's supposedly going for $55K. But I bet the restauranter has got something wrong in the data somewhere. It's too cheap. Lol
