Yes, steel. The coating is easily scratched though, so it's best to spray the inside of the Nismo socket with Rust-oleum Peelcoat rubberized spray.

Thank you for clarifying expeditiously!

I'm not sure l0ckym. It was swapped by V-Spec Performance along with a Nismo Ti strut brace in exchange for Magnesium TE37s that came across on the 33R. V-Spec Performance in Melbourne has had them.

Tried Skyline Parts, Skyline Spares and Annvar.com?

And have you found that a few cars coming up for auction have had fudged Kms? Is this practice common or uncommon in Japan?

Do you find that quite a few desirable cars coming up for auction recently have seemingly very low Kms? Should one be quite suspicious about these figures and thus, use your services (or some other), especially when service history appears incomplete?

I always knew that was the case quite a few years ago. My Q I should have clarified, pertains to recency. Ok, so nothing has changed from when I knew that CTP premiums were always more expensive in Penrith compared to Emu Plains.
-
So is it correct (or incorrect), that CTP Insurance is cheaper outside of the Sydney Metropolitan Area?

Nismo-Motul Oil Cap etc etc Previous Nismo Ti Strut Brace is now on a 33R

Nismo C/F Twin Blade Rear Wing on the R33 GT-R Six bolts to adjust on installation instead of the usual four. It is a nice piece. Millimetre perfect. Nismo Side Skirts to go on next.

All fixed. Thanks Nic.

Ornamental Plate WtB I'm changing over my engine covers on an R33 GT-R. I'd like to know what you have as an Ornamental Plate, for my new valley cover? Thanks

Attn: R33 Gtr Owners - Full Length Cooling Panels Group Buy
GTR-N1 replied to dori34's topic in Group Buys
I'll be happy to take pics as soon as the panel is fitted (after my 100000Km service and installation of the Nismo plenum). Sorry, but I didn't want tools put on it. -
Not sure Brett. Now you've got me to investigate. Thanks.

Me too. So rare.

Japanese owner went mad on c/f. But fitted a full Titanium Exhaust, Eibach Suspension, Engine tune is still an unknown Just relieved that it's rust free.

KISS Method for a collectible 9 days, the Repair Shed for 400R c/f rear wing and 400R side skirts and Series 3 front lip paint/fit 2 weeks 100,000Km Service with Nismo odds and ends fitted. 4 weeks detailer 6 weeks tuner Thanks for asking...

I took the silencer off and the RB sound is still there despite a turbo back titanium system. It certainly is loud though. I hope there's no droning noise. I'll find out in a couple of days. Thanks for looking. I'll leave all the c/f bits on it (fake or real) for a little while and see if I can get my head around it. OS Giken triple is vicious. But I've found a li'l sweet spot where the car can be gently eased forward from a stopped position. Hill starts are a bugger. Lol

Can I use stock cams in an N1 block?
GTR-N1 replied to msammut's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
N1 turbos are laggy which is why the timing of the cams assists bottom end power and torque. As stated above, the top end of the curve flattens a bit earlier. There's no need for a street car to have a N1 water pump. Save your money. Impeller blades are fewer on the N1 and larger in size. As stated above, they're only more efficient whilst racing. The N1 oil pump is more efficient than stock but not as robust as some others. -
Home... Thanks to Troy Fuller (Iron Chef) in Japan, for having this car inspected prior to auction in Japan.

How on earth do low cars get over the speed-hump-monsters (near Aldo's) Nick? -
"A hoist, a hoist - my kingdom for a hoist!" Richard III R32 GT-R is out most due to lower Kms by far.

Hahaaa, you guys. 1) I'm not wrapped in wrap - no. But I'll sit on it for a couple of months before I rid myself of it. Other priorities I guess. Sure, it's done 84,000Km but asap, the 100,000Km service needs to be done. And I don't know if the tune is currently only on Japanese fuel RON 2) Yes, N1s are great in concept. I've always admired the M3 in CSL guise. And could never understand why their owners packed the weight back on with luxuries. 3) Getting a hoist Hayden to accommodate another car in a 2-car-garage. I owe a lot to this here Club - SAU. And accolades go to Iron Chef who brought in the BNR34 N1 in 2011 and the BCNR33 N1 3 months ago (inspecting them on the ground, before they went to auction).

Sold my 8MR 3 years ago for 21K It was great to drive until the cam belt snapped at 97,300Km. Yep, I fixed it up and sold it. For driving enjoyment and chuckability, it was a gem. Longevity is the question mark.
