  1. Just Jap if you can't find a good low-cost one here. Try "fatz" via PM
  2. They're prone to cracking. If you still have the original one, a cylindrical metal sleeve can be fitted over it. Mine is like that.
  3. You're no help ^^^ Back on thread, Performance Imports Mag Issue #161 to be released on May 25th will have more references to SAU! "SAU" is mentioned on pages 71, 72, 73, 76.
  4. Pics of said SAU lanyard draped over one's skin could show us how promotionally helpful that might be ...careful not to be 'wasteland-ish'
  5. Thanks for the intro and welcome!
  6. I can lend you one. If so, PM me for address.
  7. ^^^ Those are better than mine I'm afraid (from All Japan Day)
  8. Congratulations! I'd make sure that you obtain the appropriate sum insured value from your insurance company in due course; if not now, then when it's time to renew, shop around!
  9. Welcome to those who know the value of the dollar + the thrills that go with it.
  10. Again, as above; I wish you well in obtaining a great car and getting the most out of her!
  11. Yup; she wriggled out of it alright.
  12. Set #3 still avail.? Might be useful as a spare set - contemplating...
  13. It's in my car now Adam. For your research, it's called a "Tramex Moisture Encounter" - 'Electronic Moisture Meter' I haven't tried it on the inside of my car as yet.
  14. Try a PM to GTR_Sean and see if he has a set. He replaced his with Nismo C/F ones.
  15. No probs with the current oil with your Kms. I'd just ask a friend to drive your car whilst you follow it; and you check the smoke coming out of the exhaust. See if there's any more than before.
  16. Thanks Dave, ...and what about the brand of wheel? Worth paying extra for ADVAN even though they weigh about the same?
  17. Variables:- What was the condition of your old plugs Brandon? Did you blow through the old fuel filter to see if the residual fuel was discoloured? Incremental change of old oil to new (and thinner), can result in a noticeable +ve smoothness. Did the clutch bleed result in extra bite on take-off?
  18. Thanks again you two! The car still has to be complied; so I haven't driven it yet - even with trade plates. Engine modifications are likely - but without going silly. Cosmetic mods will be rims. Thinking of getting a concave look with slim spokes like XXR-527 or ADVAN RS. Any opinions on those in 18x9.5 +20 or thereabouts? There's no head unit in there yet either.
  19. Have you looked in the For Sale section here on SAU? People selling cars on SAU have mostly sorted out most/all bugs and have faith in what they're selling. If they can't be bothered fixing something, they then put it on carsales with other non-members. Of course there's a wider audience on carsales too. You mentioned carsales twice - and not once at all about the forum here. That's why I asked. On inspection, take someone with you who is conversant with the type of car you're after huh?
  20. Bought at auction for me 4 weeks ago by JapLink/Iron Chef connections Grade 4.5 with Japanese history and checked prior to auction. Gracious of you to ask! David asked too!
  21. Sydney Compliance Centre 21-23 Bridge St Rydalmere 02-96383205 or 02-97160857 Ask for Todd to have everything done in one go. ...yes, blue slip too.
  22. Nice!
  23. Thanks for that feedback. They are expensive - and they're closed-shop items to inspectors. Since I live in the Blue Mtns, I wanted one for myself 'er; my house. To my knowledge, there's no alternative. But what I can say is, there are virtually or close to no false readings when I pass the unit over AC wiring. Maybe I should try it on my own car first?
