  1. I'm not permitted to recommend doing anything illegal; and I believe that if you're living in NSW after moving from interstate, you have a time limit (possibly a month) to re-register your car with NSW plates. But if we're talking semantics, I think that if you were pulled over by the police 4 times for 4 checks, you'd probably get a warning 4 times. Welcome to SAU.NSW
  2. ^^^ so sad when the only motivation (from Eddie and sales staff) is $$$$$
  3. I wonder where they get the wheels to stick onto Sam's GT-R < From another stolen car???
  4. Head Count (last updated on 6/8/14):- * Iron Chef Imports = 19.5 * J-Spec = 7 * JLM = 5.5 * Northshore Prestige = 5 * jake32 = 3 * AKA PRIMO = 3 * Carizma = 2 * Master Cars = 2 * Special Vehicle Imports = 1 * Import Monster = 1 * Luxury & Performance Vehicles = 1 * Diyimport = 1
  5. Sovereign337 gave me an idea. 1) We are not supposed to rubbish an importer and... 2) We are not supposed to tout. Sovereign337 said, "There are so many people on SAU with nice cars, they must have come from somewhere." So I dedicate this thread to you Shane! So... If you're happy with your import car: if you had a happy experience with one and sold it, tell us who the importer was! If you bought the car on consignment, who was the importer (- not the vendor or dealer)? We have done a head count! I've had 4x imports from Japan from 4 different importers. 2 importers are worth a positive mention. 1) Iron Chef Imports (aka Kristian) and... 2) JLM (aka JapLink Motors) * EDIT Post #2 is kept up to date!
  6. Actually, you've just prompted an idea - indeed, an epiphany! 1) We're not supposed to rubbish an importer/dealer 2) We're not supposed to tout either So, perhaps I should start a thread in the "Imports" section, purely based on personal experience! Thank you Sovereign337 (BTW what's your first name?)
  7. Oh Dear! We have a tragic! Lol - but aw shucks - and many thanks!

  12. Presuming you don't have a comprehensive insurance policy to pay for it, then yes, cost is as above. If upon removal, the moulding is damaged, be prepared to pay extra.
  13. yessireeeee bestcureforinsomniatoo
  14. bunch o' pr!cks Hope insurance is for agreed value - and not market value. No need to mention that here.
  15. Tight as a violin string Mike. The V mark was only located at the front of the bonnet where the ribbon sat. Travelling along, of course you can hear the hum of the ribbon vibrating. I couldn't see the shaving marks until the pearl black car was back in the garage with lights on. In daylight, at a certain angle it's quite noticeable too. Matt's R33 GT-R also had the same marks. It wasn't bad enough to have to use AutoGlym Paint Renovator. AutoGlym Resin Polish got most of it out > Menzerna got the remainder out > then a reapplication of sealant > then canauba. Sorry no pics - too upset.
  16. Agreed Chris on the proviso that there's an inverse proportion between value and kilometres (as well as condition).
  17. Pic pls Colin?
  18. Shell has them in now! I believe she's sorting out the order of delivery!
  19. Can you guys let this thread have some feedback because we used genuine ribbon (not paper or plastic as the vid says), and we still got the big V shaving mark on the bonnet and even on the A pillar. I don't think we exceeded the speed limit; but we travelled about 20 Kms.
  20. Ok Dave & Nick: I remember when I was on really tight budgets. Congratulations Dave on a very lovely GTR! I'm happy too that at least there's friendly dialogue
  21. Now they're thinking... I can get a pair off easily enough > but who do I know that can drill a hole to make an earring? And that fellahs... is what happens when your lovely Nismo items are so small and defenceless! Ummm white spoke stickers? Again Chris, I'd PM elrodeo666 and Marcus will do his best - quickly! ...or eBay. But some stickers can be a fraction too big > need to be the right size if you can.
  22. It's worth talking to them to assess if their written warranty is offering cash back (if faulty) or only repair. If it's the former, and subject to good reviews (as you say), I'd be prepared to give them a go. Ask if the warranty is voided due to DIY too. I'd be cautious about that as a get out of jail disclaimer. Anyone with a socket set should be able to do this.
  23. Nissan R34 Workshop Manual in Japanese I bought these at AutoWorld Books at Rushcutters Bay Sydney. Occasionally Hanzie the odd Manual might come and go at Haynes Manuals at Fairford Rd Padstow NSW
