  3. I don't think they're any more harsh. Have you offended a neighbour (who might be in the motor trade)?
  4. rofl at speed humps = braille
  5. Geriatrics drive by sound - not by sight > HWP's panels were all shiny and new > so he drove away.
  6. When the HWP saw my head sticking out, he thought we were geriatrics > turned left!
  7. Contact "xntrq" or "fatz"
  8. Now if you Daniel had paid me enough money to add a couple seconds to the Leaf's time, I might have succumbed to graft Lol
  9. Extraordinary credit to you Matt (and Daniel from Wagga) to travel 6 hours each way! Now that's dedication! PS good driver you are too

  11. Lol - woman speaking - am sure she got a blonde rinse!
  12. I've had no real problem with TomTom until last Sat. I wanted to go from Maroubra to Wahroonga and punched in the data. So here I am coming down Maroubra Rd westbound towards the intersection of Anzac Pde and TT tells me to turn right 200m before the lights > I dutifully obey. Then TT tells me to go down a lane that can barely fit my car. Then it tells me to turn right into oncoming traffic (because Anzac Pde Maroubra is fractioned off into two sides) > WTF Do these all have the odd glitch?
  13. "WHAT'S THIS?" I said to myself as I observed black specks on my white shower floor after washing my hair. Is it tumour? Oh that's right! It's rubber!
  14. What a great bunch of guys you are! So glad to be part of it - and I'm scoring pics already for my "SAU Spotting" thread in General Automotive. Extremely impressed with the efforts of those who've travelled far and wide for this Texi! * Matt from Pt Macquarie 6hrs * Daniel from Wagga Wagga 6hrs * 3 more from Newcastle * 1 rare visitor from ACT
  15. If that particular model Skyline was exported to an English speaking country, quite often Nissan would print manuals in English for the dealerships in that respective country. In Britain, the R34 Manual for instance, was available through Middlehurst Nissan in St Helens. Tried eBay? What type of Skyline is it?
  16. Methinks the first and last days of 'dd' are the blitz days.
  17. Sydney Compliance Centre CEO will explain how some N. Honshu cars (even from Hokkaido) have travelled south covertly to be auctioned off down there. This will be done on a Tech Night for SAU Members next month. More than two importers I know, prefer to rely on more than a Grade system ie an inspection! Back to Chris' thread!
  18. ...rest my case. To you Chris, apologies for going off on a tangent!
  19. You say there is nothing not to trust about the Grade system? Having been to Japan since 1975 has taught me sociologically, theologically, culturally and philosophically that the Japanese males abide and live by structure, discipline, ordered roles, yang concepts and ethics passed down by Taoist- style traditions. The Grade system should be a trustworthy structure according to the above; but it isn't! Cars that appear in Osaka that have come from as far north as Hokkaido has happened before - and will happen again. I don't doubt your experience; but anyone who trusts the Grade system only can still (without precautionary backups) end up with the rusty car. JDM_Performance once bought one from Northshore Prestige - with regret from a faulty Grade system. Aggroman once bought one from Top Secret Imports - again with regret from a faulty Grade system. Therefore, I say to you that the Grade system isn't the only criterion to abide by!
