  1. I don't like taking prescribed drugs myself unless absolutely necessary - but supplements are a different matter (when justified).
  2. Funny how I sometimes recommend it but I don't have any myself. Birds I don't have dairy very often away from home, and I'm usually too full to order a cheese platter. Yoghurts can get me going sometimes. I think Lactaze or Tilactase has short dating for those considering it.
  3. Psychopharmacology, Nuttitional Psych, Hypnotherapy, Counselling I sort of love the detective work of tracking genetics, ancestry, biochemistry and microbiology most of all. For instance us Asians tend to lack Lactase (thus lactose intolerant), Aldehyde Dehydrogenase (we get drunk quicker), don't process Vit A as well as Caucasians and we're often born with big teeth on small mandibles (common to have wisdom teeth extractions)...
  4. One Way M6 Screws yup
  5. So they'll be used for petrol thieving and more serious crimes right? ...especially the latter before 1/7/13 when number plate recognition comes into force right? Actually ACT police can access all that info right now!
  6. Niacin and Niacinamide forms of B3 are as you stated particularly reliable and valid in aiding relaxation. When I administer a Hoffer-Osmond Diagnostic Test (Uni Saskatchewan) and 4 of the 5 clinical scales show up a Serotonin shortage, I always (subject to how mild/moderate/severe the Scores are), prescribe a B3 Complex to be taken after breakfast &/or lunch with l-Tryptophan (or 5-Hydroxytryptophan) at bedtime (away from other amino acids to get across the blood-brain barrier undiluted). The Niacin/Niacinamide help to utilise Serotonin better + reduces insulin resistance. The l-Tryptophan (or 5HTP) is a direct precursor of Serotonin as you'd know. Initially, B3 creates more excitement and in acid form, vasodilatation. Mid-afternoon tiredness drops away if taken after brekky/lunch. It works in tandem with l-Tryptophan. Rider:- Of course, one shouldn't take Tryptophan/5HTP whilst on SSRI or SNRI or SDRI drugs but Niacin/B3 you can > and often, patients on the above drugs can lower the doses. I can add more I know but.... We should discuss... Birds and others on here too...
  7. Nup > thought that up all with my iddybiddy brain
  8. Haha, I've noticed that there's more than one person here who's done biochemistry - maybe even genetics. The NO-NOs before retiring of course include... * reduce caffeine drinks in the final 3 hours * hot or uncomfortable mattresses should be given away * avoid vitamin B complexes in the final 5 hours * don't listen to talk-back radio stations * settle arguments or defer conflict to the next day (by saying so)
  9. Fuel embargo early 80s > V8s sold for mini-$ > Kingswoods disappeared > jenni-craig Commodores were born.
  10. good advice ^^ plus... sign on dash that says... "Snake is home 2 days/wk fasting. Other days, she's in here. Guess which days!"
  11. Maybe we should start a restaurant called, IF YOU DARE where the menu consists of * Fugu * Croc * Gator * Bull's Balls * Pig's Trotters * Ox Tail * Locust in Chocolate for dessert etc
  12. With a wooden dowel about 40cm long place one end on different parts of the block/injectors etc and listen to amazing (or annoying) sounds! Wood helps to localise the noise better than a long shafted screwdriver IMHO. *The other end goes to your ear hole if I wasn't clear enough
  13. Well if they dish out croc, there's no false advertising there!
  14. Time Capsule reopened Light Sweet Crude price about the same + AUD$ south = $ at the bowser about to go north. ...so if your tank is empty...
  15. Now make sure you dress up in "blue" at Suncorp Stadium next Wed and yell out at the top of your voice 50,000x, "Go the Blues!". May this be your punishment!
  16. +1 My Favourite too In O'Connell St So booked out, they have 2 sittings/night
  17. Agree with above and darksky that the best genuine Japanese restaurants are in Sydney CBD - akin to the Ginza.Crows Nest comes 2nd!
  18. Blue Roc Melatonin 5mg is available here in Oz through Golden Glow. Sublingual > quick acting. 'Tis also able to be produced by your Pineal gland via l-Tryptophan (from your liver or supplement as S.A.D. Powder) > Serotonin (Circle of Willis) > Melatonin (Pineal) PreGABA consists of 2 amino acids Taurine and Glutamine as precursors > GABA This is particularly good for improving circadian rhythms in people who toss & turn or are restless sleepers. Look up how Taurine is also nature's anticonvulsant if you wish. Melatonin-deficient people should always take at least a maintenance dose even when sleep patterns become steady, since it raises your immune system against several types of cancer. You can look that up too if you wish. Cheers!
  19. Getting on to 4 wks I think Chris. Funny how it always seems longer when you are impatient to drive it Meanwhile, I've bought 18" rims > IX Owners Manual in English > Missile switches > Website sticker for the rear wing > ICE > RE002 rubber > Number plate - its like being in withdrawal sigh...

  23. fatz' body is safe
  24. It should be people my age who should be restricted to timed-compensation restrictions - not the children. They're skewing it the wrong way round. Q Whay are they doing this? A Perhaps because 'grey power' can vote - children can't.
