  1. I would try Magman too. The guy at Minchinbury tried to TIG my LMGT4 but it cracked again on a country road no less > Had to get it fixed again at One Stop Unanderra
  2. ^^^ For those old enough to remember... cough* ...NSW had Rego and CTP amalgamated too. Then 'spin' came out to say that CTP could be more 'competitive' if it were offered by several companies: well guess what? I just think that the old RTA's complaint dept got sick & tired of going into frequent meltdown - my 2c

  8. 1) I periodically talk to two of my friendly panelbeaters 2) An insurance company is hard to trust when one staff member at LSV refers to a fellow worker as a dope 3) It's difficult to stay loyal to only one insurance company when it ups the premium the following year and you find that their opposition is cheaper > back & forth: back & forth 4) With regard to your reference of honesty, it can be hard to tell if your insurance rep is honest when you can't see his face, and his fellow worker tells you something different. 5) If you've had an indiscretion, the company tries to get that money back the following year - big time - not just gradually! I treat companies as being guilty until proven innocent. That's how they've treated me.

  13. Forrest Gump's mother said, "You just do the best you can with what you've got..." This means that regardless of whether you Michael are the car's 2nd or 3rd owner since new; if you create a portfolio of all work done on your VS2 & a new log book, the time line starts now! Any prospective buyer will see if you are an enthusiast or not. Your records will be backed up by the condition of your vehicle. And by doing this, you will be doing a wonderful job to minimise depreciation. Furthermore, that prospective buyer will go to the next step of protecting his interests by asking you for a compression test, a hoist inspection, a discussion with your service technician and your tuner. If I were you, I would have no hesitation to welcome this level of scrutiny. The value of your nice VS2 can be protected! Regards. Edit* Im just noticing that you're the buyer eh? Well reverse the roles above > bargain damn hard. If there's any doubt though, walk away!!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks Adam > worth investigating...
  15. Well if JDM_Performance' Stag, Duncan's Stag and Nick's Stag weren't such party poopers we could have ended up with over 26 eh? Lots more pics this weekend
  16. Roads & Maritime (aka RTA) wants 3 things off you... 1) Registration Papers with $$$ 2) CTP (green slip) that has already been paid - this covers people injured in a smash. It will have been stamped after payment. 3) Pink Slip or Vehicle Inspection Slip after your car has been inspected at an authorised station/mechanic; and this has been forwarded to the RMS anyway (before you get there) After 3) the vehicle inspection has been done (aka pink slip), as Adam and others have said, you can register online.
  17. And that "Green Slip" or "CTP" insurance (Chris mentioned above) should be in the mail to you Ricky. If you're insured with Shannons, Shannons has their own "CTP" "Green Slip" at a discount rate - undercutting other insurers. So you can shop around...
  18. I'm afraid that he & his fabricated witnesses in collusion outweigh your "verbal"
  19. I posted up the full itemised schedule for the major services at 40, 80 & 100 K some time ago. It came from Nissan's UK Owners Manual since R34s were sold there. It's here in General Maintenance somewhere
  20. Thinking outside the square, if some hobby of yours can viably become a profitable business, you're allowed a business car in most cases. If so, your expenses including insurance, registration, modifications and fuel up to a certain percentage (depending on what you've logged as pertaining to business) becomes tax deductible. Ideas bubbling up? Precaution:- Unless your business plan is foolproof, lots of businesses might not survive in this climate. Pity that Famous Insurance and Guild Insurance who used to insure grey imports, no longer do. Competition has become somewhat limited.
  21. They're 'you beaut' aren't they Dale? Lots more gorgeous Stags to come yet via Autocult.net.au
  22. So you all dress up in lab coats & walk in like Bill Murray with (fake) government grant in hand (as if you own the place) > free demo & research!!!
