I still think i need to be in charge. Nismo/Nissan/Infiniti enter F1. Take over part of Mechachrome facility and build the engine Renault want to and then sell the engine to RBR, STR and whichever team Renault takes over. The new Renault F1 team can badge the car Renault just as RBR has done with Infiniti. Easy path to being competitive in 2016 without stupid token limit. Wtf do all those muppets get oaid the big dollars for when i have all the answers
-
Geez. RBR want Renault to leave...hardly laying a solid team environment/foundation for trying to entice Audi, BMW or Toyota etc back into the game.

So...60mins to go. Should Porsche move over car 19 for 17 since it is racing innthe championship and needs the points? Hope not. If Mark wins i want him to win it. Car 19 has been epic and not put a step wrong
-
Eat shit Ferrari. Corvette flogging all the Euros again! Porsche looking somid and Hulk doing an AMAZING job and damn well supported by Bamber and Tandy. Hartley threw away Car 17s chance with drive thru and track position
-
Does that mean barelay faster than LMP2 car. POS FWD Nissan. So ashamed of the ralk last year where Nissan said they were so confident of their concept that they could win 2015 le Mans.

Try Radio Le Mans Khoa. I have Foxtel Play for $50 a minth for sport and docos

Le Mans is on Fox . No free to air think its worth covering. Probably right Joe Saward posed an interesting question... "How can a sport that generates $1.8 billion a year in revenues be incapable of supporting 12 two-car teams which race one another on only 20 occasions each year? The only possible answer to this question is that the business model is not a very good one for all concerned, even if for some F1 is filling their pockets, pumping up their egos and making them feel powerful. These people do not really want things to change, unless they see that they can get more money or more power. " Bernie is siding with Williams and co as its just like when he was concerned FOTA would have too much power...ditto this time around so is throwing his muscle behind the small teams to stop the large teams from getting too much sway

I think the permanent freeze is next season. LOL so Renault get one more shot...its going to end in a disparity for way too many seasons. It is BS. you can spend tens of millions on wings and tunnel time but you can barely develop that largest differentiation of performance
-
There is nothing wrong with the racing. I like the idea of refuelling but they shouldn't reintroduce it. Theybhave just done a stupid thing freezing engine development when a few teams have a big advantage from hp alone. That is what has ruined the racing this year.

I am sick of SKY playing on how kuch "the people" love Lewis and have no connection with Nico etc etc. He has siunded like a puppet about putting Monaco behind him but moaping around....need to get Dan or Romain back on the podium
-
Come on Lotus! Love to see Romain on the podium!

Going to grab and have a read . Oh...http://www.formula1.com/content/fom-website/en/video/2015/6/Moving_on_from_Monaco_for_Mercedes.html Ahh the laughs. It was a cluster of confusion but the interesting thing is how the team apologised to Lewis and has been happy to take all the blame for the incident and shield Lewis from any criticism. Seems to suggest that he takes some grey space management to keep him at his best...so good on Toto and co for putting team-driver performance ahead of assigning blame to cover asses. Shows F1 is a team sport!

Curious to hear what you thought of the brakes and what you have to get "used to" I miss Wakefield...hell I miss track days
-
Nissan looking rather terrible

An off the shelf Bilstein with an 8k spring is a very different animal to a Koni Yellow with 8k spring. Ie...the valving of the shock itself plays a HUGE part in how the car drives. How a spring feels and the grip a car has and ehete it is lacking in grip. Its not just spring A plus roll bar X ...and the there is ride heights and wheel alignment.
-
Jeezus! For a std shifter? Why did i GIVE mine to a mate!

Man...how long is a piece of string. My car runs semis, is heavier. Runs wishbone front end....lol. I was following your handling///too stiff/jitterish thread. I think....LOL, I think when you get the car back on the track start as follows. Note ride heights and wheel alignment settings. Back all shocks off to full soft and put all swaybars in full soft. Put all tyre pressures to 32psi cold and then go flog it for 4 or 5 laps around (assuming) Winton. I seemed to recall that IMO you were running the RSR tyre pressures too low, more what you want of a full semi. So personally I would look for 36 rear and 38psi ish warm tyre pressures. See how the car feels and tune from there.

I understand MCA run many internal components from the Bilstein catalogue. Can't see / haven't heard them touching Teins
-
Was going to say the same Dan. My car had mega traction with way more power than you and it was all std rear arms with Whiteline bushes...thats it. As for track...if anything in R32s its beneficial to widen the front track more than the rear. You look at R32s vs later model platforms and also S13 vs S14 they tend to increase front track to wider than rear...so sometime wheel changes increase rear more than front...for me i run more front track than rear these days
-
The point missed is RBR gave Dan a free pitstop. The whole need vs time required...all seemed a bit rushed. What I do believe is that Merc messed up trying to be cute....and Lewis played a part and is the reason why he wasnt going postal post race. He played a part in it by requesting it assuming events that ... lol well I am happy because now we get to see if after a couple of hiccups whether he goes his usual walk about with his head down kicking at cans or chin up and comes back strong. With what he is getting paid he needs to be Vettel/Alonso bankable at the next few races.. not go walkabout crying victim LOL, even though he had pole I did laugh that all Saturday he was still sooking about last years yellows dropping reference into it in every post race interview By contrast...I have so much more time for Alonso the past few years. This year he isnt throwing his toys out the pram and looking at Vettel he must be kicking himself for looking elsewhere...yet head down and works harder with a smile

Nobody has upgraded to a short sifter and wants to off load their original shifter

Bloody Sky trying to cover up the role Lewis played..doesnt change the fact the team should have set him straight...but Lewis seems to be thevguy that started the call for tyres "...when that Safety Car situation unfolded, did you not at all question whether to come in or not? Bearing in mind, regardless of the situation with the tyres, track position is ultimately king in Monaco. "I cant really express the way I feel at the moment, so I wont even attempt to, he said. You rely on the team. I saw a screen, it looked like the team was out and I thought that Nico had pitted. Obviously I couldnt see the guys behind so I thought the guys behind were pitting. The team said to stay out, I said these tyres are going to drop in temperature, and what I was assuming was that these guys would be on Options and I was on the harder tyre. So, they said to pit. Without thinking I came in with full confidence that the others had done the same.

The racing has been pretty good. I did the survey....told them what i think. 60% of cash needs to go equally to all teams and remaining 40% based on WCC position. Loosen engine freeze and introduce front wing freeze where they only get 6 wing types and floors per season. Ridiculous they limit engines...making them more costly to engineer but they can spend hundreds of thousands of hours on a wing they may not do more than a practice session. Also need 3rd cars for P1 and P2 that young / test drivers run and are free for testing limiting wind tunnel time etc. by bringing 60 hours of in season, cheap testing to every season whilst having more cars on the track.

Just opened Autosport site and what a confused joke F1 is. Bernie back in court being sued...team owners drivers or complaining about different things...surveys about what fans want....it all looks farking ridiculous! [sigh]
