  1. Well according to F1 Racing magazine survey at the start of the year, Vettel has less fans then Webber. Webber actually poled better then Vettel, with Webber having 2% vs Vettel's 1.7% share of the vote. So for what its worth for Red Bull the product, it seems the Australian holds more sway with the public then his younger team mate. Fans also listed Webbz German GP win as more memorable then RBRs first win with Vettel. So not sure what that all means, other then if Red Bull want to appease fans, then its Webber with the most international fans
  2. Check this out...look at the RBR video that has been released http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/ But again. why is it Webber who is talking about the event as being regrettable, a shame, we need to learn etc. Him being the spokesman autimatically has the impact that he is the one that needs to apologise and smooth things over.
  3. Jog on Duncan....you are just a knocker I know Webber isnt the greatest, but he is better then many out there and at least as good as some that have won WDCs. I am not convinced it was blatant pit wall orders that were to play out in Vetools favour, maybe indirectly as a result of circumstance. But Webber is getting the job done with his car, nobody expected him to be near Vettel over a season, yet he has been there for the team on pole or the front row every GP except Bahrain. 6 front row starts, 2 race wins, a second and a 3rd isnt too bad a conversion rate out of 7 races. I expected Webber to not accept a speed difference and bust a gut trying to bridge any performance gap. I think he is doing exactly that. Now whether he stumbles mid season like he always does around the 10-14th GPs who knows I hope not
  4. Well with all the talk in the press. Webber says it all himself. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/mot...r-1225873780886 Again, he impresses with his maturity and willingness to follow what is in the interests of the team. What will be real interesting is what happens next when they share a bit of road. $1000 says Vettel puts Webber to the sword
  5. Ok, i dont know how this will pan out. But i dont think Schuey did all that much wrong back in 94. He went off and came back on took the normal line to the apex when Hill jammed his nose in. I think it was a racing accident and Hill was way too impatient. But he saw a gap and went for it. Icant remember exactly but i think it was his Japan move that was far worse. But the difference was it was wheel to wheel racing in a corner, Not driving in a straight line coming up to a corner I think Vettel made two mistakes on the weekend, he picked the wrong side to pass Webber and then cut accross his bow too soon. So, how does that read in your eyes?
  6. So just saw the DC pit walk. How funny was it to see DC comment to Newey about how damaging it is for a driver to see the team jump around and celebrate your team mate taking your poll off you...and talk about managing drivers. It seems Brundle and DC saw the writing on the wall before the team Combind with what i have been read on on James Allen blog about the mood after Webbers first win, and the mood around Webber and Horners constant defence of decisions to Mark and that Austrian owner fella with the funny name. Seems that Webber and his history with some team members in Jaguar etc count for nothing. And its not paranoia when after Vettel pole or win the radio lights up with cheers and congrats. Webber wins and its a muted good job Mark. Maybe Vettel as a driver takes more managing ? If so, Webber probably sees all this going on and sis smiling too himself. If thats not the case, Mark has to hope that he can continue to keep capitalising and unike last year not fall away after mid-end of the season oh...and ... http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2010/05/31/...fking-disaster/ Just watching the replay of the whole race now. What another really telling thing is, Vettel gets cuddles and hugs from the team on the wall during the race. Webber gets out of the car P3 and there was not a team member in site, look around the barricades and not a single RBR top for a congrats, a sigh and pat on the back of support...nothing! Combined with comments from team management, could understand if the guy is starting to feel a tad isolated! I am so stweing over this...fark RBR! LOL, last year when in Germany i didnt buy an RBR hat as they were all Vettel hats, no Webber hats. Ditto when i was in Malaysia....Webber is not a part of RBR!
  7. hmm, seems the Horner and :yeh, Mark did a good job" being about excited as Horner usually gets for Webber has some deeper meaning http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2010/05/so-i...on-at-red-bull/ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport...one/8714410.stm Come on Kubz, RBR can get farked!
  8. I like that and am claiming it, Vetool!
  9. Tell RBR what you think... http://www.redbullracing.com/cs/Satellite/...amp;refmodpos=3 My contribution... What a sad weekend for my favourite team. Always loved how RBR have approached their racing, and have liked the blend of youth and experience in your drivers. I don't think any RBR fan is happy about the weekend, but I am shocked that the team have claimed to be blaming both drivers, with the caveat that you really hold Webber responsible. Its disappointing to read Helmut Marko's comments. Its disappointing to read that Christian Horner has not stated that the team view the situation differently to Marko. Instead Horner feels Webber should have given Vettel more room and "concede if one has got a run on the other" Webber was a true professional in the press conference, towed the line even when baited, only to have other key team members out him as the person to be blamed. Vettel and Horner could both take a leaf from his book and do the bulk of their talking in private and leave the press making up their headlines. For the record, I think its a racing incident that should have been avoided. The team should not be publically blaming either driver. The fact that it seems publically happy to let Webber wear the blame is insulting to Webber and all the fans of F1 to who, you claim equal treatment. How can so many F1 commentators, drivers and fans be wrong about the incident, unless there is something that RBR are not telling the public. So, will now grab the popcorn and watch my favourite team implode and look to Kubica and Renault as worthy of my support
  10. NOICE!!!! I suspect this will blow over provided RBR keep ahead of McLaren. If McLaren bag a few wins on the next few rounds and RBR fall back to 3-5 places then i think this will simmer and ruin their season. I don't think Webbers contract negotiation will be all that straight forward now, especially if Horner doesnt let go and wants Vettel in the lead. Isnt Marko the guy pushing ll the RBR young talent. Could see another young Aussie in STR next year and Buemi getting the nod....relaly depends how the team handle this. So far its been pretty badly. Mark has been pretty quiet and neutral. Vettel accepting no blame and saying it was his corner and Webbers fault, the team saying it was Webbers place to give away the position and the fact he didnt meant he was responsible for Vettel cutting him up.....so it leaves Mark playing the team game and not speaking out....the question must be, for how long?
  11. You can see Horner saying "move, move, move". There is no doubt that they think Webber was the main offender. Reach arounds all round on pit wall while Mark is still out there trying to get points for the team I hope RBR's cars fall into a stack of uncompetitve stack of crap. Sorry Mark, you will be collatoral damage and i want to see the team go backwards and implode. The fact that they are circling their support around Vettel for what i feel is a racing accident then ... they can get farked. The fact that Vettel clearly palyed the larger role in the downfall of the team over the weekend...what was Seb doing in quali, leaving late from the pits and taking the better track position for quali???? RBR, either get your shit together or come clean and say it how it is. I think i will fix Horners press release...
  12. Well Horner gets a good nights sleep and takes another dig at Webber So they are blaming Webber
  13. What annoys me is that thsi give each other room. On the exit of the previous corner Webber was already hogging the inside line and you see Vettel dart to the outside then flick it back to the inside. There was never going to be enough room and Webber had left the door open for Vettel on the outside. Vettel chose the impossible inside move and turned the whole situation into a lottery dip. Webber has shown too mcuh respect to Vettel ad Vettel exploits it with putting him to the sword. I am still smarting about Vettel running last in quali...cheeky bastard. Then speaking to a mate last night....he had it 1000% right. Vettel will put Webber to the sword as he think in a game of chicken which will see the cars make contact Webber will flinch first in the interest of the team. Well i am with Webber on this one. He had to set the record straight getting to the halfway season mark. If Vettel wants to beat Mark he will have to do it in quali or cleanly in the race. That means if a guy has the inside line covered and is leaving you the outside of the track then you dont go inside and try to drive him off the road with a cut up before the braking area.
  14. Personally, I am amzed there aren't more calls of "that was Sennaesque" driving by Vettel. 3 GPs ago, RBR looked as though they were going to be untouchanble at the sphincter of the universe and Silverstone. Doesnt appear to be the case, and it seems Mark is expected to leave the door open for Seb as was the case in Malaysia. Re Helmut Mark, what does being the motorsport advisor to Red Bull mean? Is he the talent scout for the young drivers? ...oh, and after the race Mark has said "Well that was a f**king disaster!" Wish he pulled that one out in the press conference
  15. Oh, and I am with Whitmarsh. Vettel refuses to accept any blame and is getting hugs in the pit lane. Interview with Horner confirms that Vettel did not apologise, so what the hell are they all doign throwing arms around him in pit lane. RBR, your lips are flapping and saying one thing...but your actions are saying another. Interesting times ahead, and I suspect RBR will suck at Canada
  16. So basically, Webber shoudl have laid down and then himself be open to attack from Hamilton? Webber had kept Hamo at bay for the whole first stint. They were all very close and without the brain fart they would have finished in the same order they were racing. Even with the stright line advantage, McLaren did not have the car advatnage. And BS to the fuel claims, do they think we tuned out after the crash! Webber was as quick, generally a few thenths quicker then the McLarens with new tyres on and with 10seconds to Schuey. If fuel was a concern he wouldnt have banged in fastest laps and put 3 secons on Schuey Also, yeh! Did Vettel do a Hamilton in quali! ?? Webber was meant to get the second run but Vettel didnt go whem required? Webber said he may have gone early but ti think that was Webz letting the team off the hook. No way he would have left earlu surendering the advantage when it was his turn to enjoy it. Vettel just parked it and helped himself to track position!
  17. Seems reasonable http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/84050
  18. RBR coming out and supporting Vettel and blaming Webber for the incident. Marko and Horner saying that he forced Vettel onto the dirty side and didnt give Vettel any room. Looks like RBR are annoyed with Webber! Vettel does appear to be their golden boy after all Stories on the BBC also coming out confirming that Vettel was told to turn up his engine whilst Webber was being told to turn down the engine and save fuel. Hmmm. sounds a bit like the McLaren, save engine and tyres to Button to not have a go at Hamilton, only the opposite for Webber Careful RBR, i rate you guys because you are not pricks like McLaren and Ferrari with team orders, dont do to Webber what McLaren did to DC , Fezz to Rubens etc
  19. Hamo needs to win a few more GPs, surely with more jumping up and down by Nicole we are going to see a wardrobe malfunction sooner or later
  20. Webbers look at Button before walking out was gold! Also, Button explaining himself after the team had told Hamo to conserve fuel All seems pretty sombre
  21. Was so hopin gNicole would fall out of that dress when she jumps up and down
  22. Was hoping the Macs had to crawl to save fuel, but the high 31 was probably traffic
  23. The Macas slowing with fuel? Webber putting the foot down. Surely he cant catch them?
  24. I do want to see them take each other out
  25. Thats how racing should be done boys!!!!
