Interesting race, hopew Mark can make his tyres start to last and holds track positions up until the final round of stops. But cant help but htinkg he will need two stops before end His pace looks strong, he may get a 4th or better here

Man...i thought Webz had it when Hamo mesed up his lap on the softs...but he was able to make them hang in there for a well earned pole. Oh man, why didnt you post this up whilst the car was still in Melb? Postage is too exy from QLD for rims with tyres. These are hell cool rims (IMO) and should be easy to move

...LOL, I am pretty tragic at buying brake setups. Though i have tried all the F40/50 combinations now with different rized rotors and dont have any at the moment. Truth is the std Nissan gear does a bloody good job with the right bits, but sooner or later with enough power, and grip then cars can do with a bump in brake hardware

Yeh, a person that co-drove with me in Vic in 2006 or 2007 competed in the NSW the year after and talked how there was a silver GTSt competing. I think your car has a gate or is noisy as hell too ?

I would debate that. They are better then Nissan OE BRembo calipers by a long way. (but whilst they are better in many ways the on road difference isnt huge) They are better then the Brembo Lotus caliper and all the other lesser model 4 pot Brembos that only take 28mm thick rotors etc. They were the premium street/road caliper before the range of 6 pot and 8 pots came out. I still think they are the better option over the silly 6 pot and 8 pots. But re your other points i agree

I dont buy into the whole cast AND weak tone of some posts. It has far less to do with cast or forged, and so much more to do with rhe design of the rim. A badly designed rim is going to be badly designed whether it is cast of forged. I am not saying that ROTA are badly designed, however certain designs have stress concentrators in the quest of looking good. Not even castings are equal, and really depends on the quality of the manufacture and the design that dictates the strength of the wheels. General theme is the better wheels never crack because they buckle to the point you cant get them balanced (wheels off race cars) Someone else posted at it is not a coincidence that the wheels failed where they did, its likely about the thinnest part of the spoke, its at the outer edge so canti-levered by the loads being transmitted from the wheel to the hub....and the design is based on a design that is forged meaning different mechanical properties. So if these wheels are dimensionally similar to TE37s then perhaps they simply dont have the extra material to compensate for the more material flaws/properties arising from casting and not being forged. So i blame the copying of anothers design rather then ROTA being cheap or nasty. If they are being sold then they obviously meet the required standards, just not up to the loads of racing whish is no criticism. ...and hats off to the poster for posting up the findings. Would have been easy and understandable if you have of kept the failures to yourself. So, thanks for sharing

By all reports though Webber sounds as though he will be happy to retire once he has another few seasons in a good car and isnt too interested in punting amid field car again. Sounds as though he only wanted a 1 year contract and is looking for the flexibility

Turn 10 is the most fun, you can go oh si much quicker then first impressions...BUT, watching your vids you were on it through there anyway!

..only advice i have is...don't enjoy yourself too much the night before in Cologne...and definitely stay away from Kiwis trying to score drugs!
