  1. This thread has me wanting a cool R33 GTS25t....more pics, more details..+ VIDS
  2. Readign James Allens website...RBR can NOW TRULY GO AND GET FARKED YOU TEWP FACE PACK OF CARNTS!!!! I woudl respect you more if you said that 'Vettel gets the parts as he is the long term option for RBR, dont like doing it but has to happen on some weekends. " As is, sayign equal billing and then takign parts of one guys car to give to the other guy when he has done nothign wrong, qualified ont eh front row every race bar one for them, led the championship for them...has driven for the team longer...go and get farked Horner and co!!!!! Webber is screwed in P2, Alonso and co will be up the inside on teh clean side of the track....and to say in light pf pace. Webber had car problems in P1, was quickest in P2. Was quickest in Q2 and was a bees dick in Q3. He was ahead of Sev 5-4 in Quali for the year. For Horner to say what he did about Vettel giving them the better chance for quali is a crock of shit. I bet if Vettel has engine problems later in the year they would take Webbers fresh engines and give them to him if the rules allowed. So very pissed off right now. Just need to get old man Rubens to the front now, fark RBR...i hope Vettels car farks up and or crashes out "Red Bull..Steals your wings" You pack of pricks! oh but Horner is saying there is no difference in time! If that was the case they would have just left it on Marks car and Seb run the older, equally as quick wing. But we know that cant be true, otherwise if the wing wasnt quicker, and they had one fail in practice, they would revert to the equally as quick wing spec that had race kms on it and proven to be reliable.
  3. Is that true? So Webber was running older spec wing because Vettel broke his in P3, or was Vettel running Webbers spare? I dont have BBC coverage, ESPN doesnt get any goss
  4. Hey good to read that it was recovered! Say, you still got the 24 in bits?
  5. Yeh, Button started well and he was "lucy" regarding his race wins earlier in the year. If it wasnt for the weather and farked tyres in Melb he would never hace won, China he did make his own luck and drove well. But his inability to wrestle or carry a car is showing, just as it did last year when Rubens showed that he was the more versatile of the two, even if he wasn't and faultless when he and car were at their best. This year, Hamo is great when he is great, and can drive the wheels of the thing when its a bucket. Webber hasnt been the same in conferences since the clash, he is a grizzle guts these days if Vettel gets in front, not becoming
  6. So close between RBR, Webz seemed to get S2 wrong, but a front row start can means the team can catch McLaren and Webz get back up in front of the McLarens. With the clear speed advantage i am not sure that Webz will get Vettel but time will tell. He needs to get off th eline well and not get ambushed on the first lap
  7. ..but on raw pace Vetool is still quicker by a bees dick, and its down to whoever gets all three sectors on the money. We will see
  8. Well I like Webz but I am as practical and realistic as they come. Most weekends I know Webber is a chance but normally expect Vettel to out qualify Webber. I think with the mistakes that everybody is making this weekend , i suspect Webber after the disaster of last race will pull together this weekend, starting with a pole in 25 minutes time. ...but , please, please anything but Vetool giving us the backwards "finger", Hopefully messes up and ends up back in teh pack and the Ferraris and Williams get up into the Top 6
  9. First things, everyone will be itching to tell you that because Skylines run wishbine suspensio rather then Macpherson struts, they run "coil overs" std. So i take it you mean an adjustable coil over with rebound/dampening adjustment and height adustment vs a non adjustable arrangmenet. Adjustable stuff does not have to be harsh and crashy or racey. They can be whatever you want them to be. Look around for pricing on Koni and Bilstein then compare that with Tein Super Street etc. Just stick with a spring rate not much higher then std and the thing will deive nice. If you nominate a budget it is easier to offer suggestions
  10. Just grab the usual injector, pump and ECU upgrade and enjoy the power. I assume you have a manifold and know this wont go near bolting up to the std manifold. If you decide its too laggy for you then I have an 8cm housing that will bring it on qbout 300-400rpm earlier that i would be interested in swapping for your 10cm housing
  11. Read an interesting interview wth Newey the other day and the development on the RB6. He said that Vettel and Webber both played a big role in developing the car and that Webz was particulary in tune with the aero development and the impact of wind on the car. At the time it made me think about how Webber almost got pole in 2008 and ended up 2nd on the grid. It was a very windy day and came from nowhere to put it on the front row. Yesterday, again it was windy with so many cars having issues and going off due to the wind at Maggotts and Becketts corner....and again Webber was clear with 0.3sec up his sleeve. I wonder if for whatever reason Mark handles the instability of varyign effects of wind on the car better then some other drivers????
  12. Webber with problems but still quickets...nice!
  13. But it is a good question. R32 GTR gearboxes can be had for as little as $500 (Yes I know, what is the condition) But the reason I am interested is it opens up a world of possibilities for me I would love to buy a GTR box that is for sale at the moment that has a full OS Giken close ratio 5 spd gear set in it. Throwing a GTR box in my R32 GTSt also means that I could probably use a botl in R32 carbon propshaft with the GTR rear cradle I have to install in the car. So, if someone knows whats involved then I am interested, because it means I can do some cool stuff to my drivetrain that will actually make my car quicker, not just more reliable as is the case with the RB25 box. It is more appealing to mod a gbox housing then get custom length carbon propshaft and buy the OS Giken gearset new and install it....
  14. What is pissing you off from Sandown?
  15. Yeh, ditto...cool project but looks like a great R32 to start with. Brembos, Work wheels, good clean body. Too nice to molest?
  16. - External bridge for better fluid cooling, ie out in the breeze rather then in the caliper boiling. - They accept a ticker, therefore generally better cooling rotor (32mm vs 28 or 30mm) - The variety of rotors they accept means you can normally pick the qty of vanes you run so can go a bit heavier in the rotor for better cooling and kinder more street friendly pads - They are more rigid, so better pedal feel - Radial mount, so can be taken from car to car, based on the coin they cost you may as well keep them for your next car, just with new bracket and hat offset - Larger pad area so run cooler So they do have features that mean they run cooler. The titanium type pistons that you are thinking off are generally race only and dotn have suitable seals for lots of street driving. Racey calipers are fin on the street if every 5,000kms you whip them off and clean the build up and gunk from them. Anyway, i love my F40/F50s. Will soon be trying some Stoptechs out which will be interesting how they differ
  17. Any more info on that R32. Seems well sorted with a pokey engine, MCA suspension etc. Interested to read more
  18. I love carbon and if someone gave me a set they would be on my car like me on a drunk German chick packpacking through India! But, 2k is a set of tyres and a track day...or a pretty big weekend in Warsaw with the mental physical scars that will last a lifetime
  19. Be an interesting contest. Will also be interesting to see how Reault go with the claim to be trying to lure Kimi back to F1 for next season as they claim they have a big name rights sponsor to be announced soon!?!?!?! Come on Mclaren, hopefully they can get ahead of Vettel and Webber can return to his 2009 way of P2 or better at Silverston and winning in Germany!
  20. Cool if you have 2k to spend on door cards, but in my books there is no way i can justify that amount of money to run door cards. Hell get some thin alcantara ro look alike material and just glue it to a raw door inner. Hell, way cheaper and lighter and more clearance....also give you the raw race car rattles Cheers, its because I have not been around to bash it off tyres or set it on fire at the track the past two years
  21. Car is still missing the fuel system, turbo and brakes so seems to much to get done in 3 weeks. So combination of the car still needing some things fixed, and the timing...I wont be there Looks like i will be in Aus around the 20th Aug so looking for some fun after then. Cant wait to hear and drive my car in anger! If people are buying tyres then let me know, i need two (2) x 255/40/17 and two (2) x 245/40/17
  22. So everybody seems to be thinking that the A050s are faster then RE55s...any news on the new Bridgestone semis????
  23. I was looking at getting them when my car was in the panel shop, the price is each, so very expensive! IF someone can get a pair at that price then they are a little more attractive
  24. I think you are best to keep the thing registered, throw the cage in it and do everything within your power to make it legal to Vic Roads and CAMS and dotn get the car engineered (registered as a 2 seater) with the cage. Just do everything possible to make sure its legit, down to the compliance paperwork in the glovebox. Just dont ever submit it. If you get pulled over and they question the legality of the cage, then worry about trying to get the car registered as a two seater with the cage. Beauty of not havng to do annual road worthy in Vic is that you end up running the gauntlet with police pulling you over rather then an annual road worthy inspector telling you the car needs things fixed. I think Vic Roads have got it wrong an dshould mirror NSW, but the rules are the rules and the fact that its all very subjective means proceed with caution. But speak to Brown Davis and Meridian...i would be reasonable confident that Brown Davis could get your cage thorugh engineering and Vic Roads provided that the other mods are up to scratch. Thats the problem with engineering....you just cant ask the engineer to look at the cage, he will look at brakes, suspension, chassis, rims/tyres, lights, seat belts, seat installation, pollution gear, possibly down to emmissions
  25. Great idea, nowhere near as easy as you think. There is a reason why Sprints run by car clubs cost what they do. When i get some mor etime tonight I will try to dig out some old info on rates for fire marshals, ambulance etc which will all be required if you hire Winton for a day
