So Dunlops are quicker then AO50? It was hard to tell as i was not at Superlap, but surely if there was a time advantage to be running the Dunlops then people not tied up/associated with Advan would have run them. The impression i got was the Sierra Sierra Evo were the odd ones out running Hankook whilst every other person ran the AO50s? If i can confirm what the fastest tyre is i will grab a set as i wont be getting another chance to punch out a time for suite some time...so want to arm myself with the best tyres possible. If i cant establish that then i think the Kuhmos for $1k sound like the best option. Who in NSW sells them? May not have to get them from the US!??!
-
So outright speed, are they as quick as RE55s, AO50s? Where do they sit on lap speed?
-
Which V700?
-
Well, having been scared away by prices of local semis....what is a decent track tire out of the US? If you had to chose between Kuhmo Ecsta V700 Kuhmo Victo Racer V700 Kuhmo Ecsta V710 (not sure i can drive on the streets with these bad boys?) Hankook Ventus Z214 Hankook Ventus TD Z221 (they are not listed on their website but askign about availability along with A050)

Have note decided on setup yet. The 343mm rotors i have ordered are i am told on back order So , maybe the KTS 6pots for shits and giggles.

Have the crappy job of installing Plazmaman plenum so figure it may be a good time to remove the whole inlet and install one of these. Where is the quikest most reliable place to buy them?

Looking to put an entry in this weekend for this. SO PUMPED TO be getting back to EC. Anyone know if its full? But will need some help. Any SAU NSW folk be in attendance and able to sort me with membership and an L2S licence? My Vic membership and licence has expired whilst I have been in India? Also, E85 in Sydney or around EC? Readily available or shoudl i best stick with an PUL tune? ...and lastly noise. I read 95 dba at 30 metres. Does that mean some external gate and titanium exhaust means i am going to have issues? The car is pretty loud, and expect even with a plumbed back exhaust it will still have some bark. So how strict are they , or how do external gate setups go at these events (normall)

Will be interesting to see how you go. Is it using 4 channels one for each wheel, or just front and rear circuits? If its up the duff it may simply be better to go aftermarket pedal box. Do you have all your fluff on the thing now, diffusers, wing etc?
-
Much damage? The guards and paint are peobably the easiest things to fix on them provided you dont damage the alloy hubs, magnesium wheel, move the cage etc. Oh god, i would cry if i bent one. Will be good to get some more cars and names back in the series. I imagine it would be a dream to be a mug punter/owner of one of these cars with a name jumping into another car and racing. Oh man, I need to stumble accross a once in a lifetime lucky investment/invention

I saw some pics recently of the Bowden collection., My god, why mess around with replicas when you can just have the original of every car ever raced

Seto in the M3 was damn quick at PI last year. Showed how quick the old buses go if steered hard. But i agree, that there are plenty of road-track cars that are near as quick/quicker then these things. But thats not the point, I have seen what goes into the build/resto of these things and you can understand why they are not drive a 10/10ths. There is still a level of bespoked engineering and hard to find parts in these cars so who would want to break them....lol I am about dumb enough to get caught up in the moment and push . But ey that lack of self control translates to why in this lifetime I will never have the money to buy and punt one of these cars And Marlin, you may be perhaps quicker...but your thing will never scream like the 31s oh...edit...looking at Natsoft i cant see the times form last Spetember. I cant see anything about their last visit to Lakeside regarding times or a Mustang being entered...or Was Seton there just testing a car at a non race day?

Was going to message you on the weekend to see if you were going to be running! Awesome! Was also going to see if you are up for a run up to Winton the following week?

I was wondering why the hack Japanese driver was been given a go at HRT? Didnt realise Honda money was good with Toyota...or is it simply Japanese guys helping a Japanese guy out?

An ex championship winning team's car with a guy that has proven he can steer over time

R33gts-t Brake Setup Options For Track Use

I wouldnt bother with new rear rotors unless the current ones are undersized or damaged -
Good possibility of a new addition to the series that will prove pretty damn impossible to beat. Unless you are Seton being given a seat in a good car

I bet even if you saw it you woudl walk past it and not recognise it. The 3 years ir has been off the road have been kinder to it then me or my bank balance. The crime is it will be no quicker...just freshened up and hopefully looking forward reliable for the next 10 years Still have to throw Shanes RE55s on my TE37s and put them on...

This is what you should buy....the guy didnt answer me so i grabbed some Stoptechs instead. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ap....html&hl=AP They are a steal. The front rotors when they die are about $1300, not sure about the rears, about the same or a few dollars less. No doubt they awe well used but you would get use of them and when those pads die have a close look at the rotors in 6-12 months and maybe replace the fronts and at teh same time give the calipers a rebuild and paint. But they would be a killer kit. I still want them even though i already need to buy another 3 cars to use all the brake shit i have -
Needs to be done? Basically new fuel pump, wheel alignment and service. What i want done? New fuel rail, fuel filter, fuel reg, 6boost manifold install, plazmaman inlet plenum install, install titanium exhaust , SBC-R EBC installed, Gizzmo shift light installed, My-Chron wiring finished, new brakes put on, RB25box installed with new twin plate, new radiator and electic fans and fan controller, isntall front undertray, new upper and lower susp arms and bits, maybe try the cams i have sitting around...LOL, so much shit i have acquired for the car. To think i have sold some of the stuff i was going to install LOL, the body got the overhaul after i took it off the road, but most of the mechanicals still need doing. Also want to give it a run down the qtr before going back OS, though not sure i have the time. Need to borrow some R32 GTR rims to buy some good drag radials. I want a 12.2 or better

No DBA 4000 rotor should ever go near a track car. I have cracked fronts and rears. Std rotors are better for track work!!!!! -
No car Unless someone is silly enough to let me tag team their car with a little bribe Otherwise i will be flying out of India on the 31st so arriving in Aus late Sunday night Winton is open on the 6th and Wakefield on teh 9th. My plan is to get my car sorted for those two days and go have some fun.

Cage looks mint! Interesting the diagonals in the main hoop all merge at the one point. Some are happy to do it, some seem to avod it, i assume because the section that is a single piece becomes too heat affected by all the welding in close proximity
