T888 have one dont they? I remember reading Paul Morris had to send his car to the US to gain access, but I recently read a Holden team had one?!?!?!?!
-
OH MUMMA!!!!!!!!! Awesome setup!!!!!

I think you will find it not half size? I am mostly going on what an SAE guy was telling me and what i subsequently read on their site http://www.monash.edu.au/research/infrastr...80&vidp=221 Marlin, I disagree about the smoke and mirrors testing too. Sure, its not perfect. But there are plenty of guys around the world building very competitive hill climb cars etc and all they generally have available to them is simple testing and some good empirical data. Publications like Racecar Engineering etc have done plenty of articles on DIY Aero testing over the years....I bet the F1 guy has forgotten more then any of us are likely to ever know but perhaps is he also likely to dismissive of anything that isnt open wheelers or from iber educamacation on twirly things and big budgets where they all wear the same shirts, hair cuts and pocker protectors I would agree regarding that you would need to really know what you are doing to take aero any further then what some of the cars already have, and at what cost and risk of going backwards. But always the victim of reading too much and never doing, I would believe there are gains from simply checking the placement/heights of wings, the size of end plates etc. Just throwing some dye over the surfaces and going for a spin can give you a good idea of what the aero is doing. LOL, yeh i know...its all backyward amatuer hour stuff. But at the cost of tunnel time I would suspect you would need to do plenty of amatuer hour testing in order to be focussed in the tunnel.

Near New Simmons Fr Series 3pc With Tyres
Roy replied to HIMMY's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Do the +38s fit without spacers? Shame they are nbot +22s but you probably are telling yourself the same thing. What brand and size tyres are on them -
"We can rebuild Smaug — we have the technology" Where is your sense of romance Snowcone. Tweaks here and there, just need to find a panel beater that wants to work with you for some signage.

Right there is too much car for me to drive
-
LOL, to catch those open cars you will need to buy last seasons DTM car and go "a head scratching" about what all those doo-dahs do
-
Shame the HMUAS ZED didnt make the event. Would have been fun to see if to go up against the ex V8 Supercars. As Duncan has said, a dedicated build of an Ex-V8 Supercar would be a good thing and funny to see a big sedan keeping them all honest. Less cage, some carbon guards to increase track. Less crap because they dont have to go 50laps. Either an alloy Chev or turbo6, depending on whether you go Ford or Holden. Glass to lexan, and a bit of development of the aero they run....get rid of air jacks, all the looms etc for data logging.

Needed more 1L Charades Pete?
-
Its left hook, do you know what class/series it ran in in Europe? There is a dream Lotus of mine for sale at the moment and curious to know if this thing is the same spec

I love how i now have about the slowest GTSt getting around! You will need a 20G, Plazmaman plenum and E85 for next year. Usable 275rwkws would be nice! Shoudl have racked soem fresh tyres for the last session Thats what i was thinking when i heard the cars were having problems! The owners, drivers and builders of the car would have been up all night trying to resolve the issue then punt the thing the next day. Impressive that they were able to do it, even more impressive that the thing is so quick!

Are you going to the 17th July Track day? Gutted, I will be back in Aus at that time but have a wedding on the same day. Would have been good to take my car out for a long overdue spin and see who was loudest, gate or 8?
-
It amazes me that any car can get under 1:50s on road rubber, so interested to know what tyre works best on a an R35, as they are pretty big and heavy and would need as much tyre as possible. Any idea what tyre the EVOs ran? Were they 8s,9,s or 10s up front? Horses for courses. I dont think anyone ever doubted they would handle and perform. Dont forget, if you have aero you need to have far firmer suspension. And looking at the pics I have seen and the times some were doing, then they were packing meaningful aero so with that downforce suspension is understandably very different for the cars at 1:30 with aero and the cars at 1:48 with std bodies

Like i said if i missed the few session times looking at the last run of the day then woops. But the point is who would have thought a basic 2L rwd Nissan could be punted so quickly in what I expected to be a one make R35 show, with EVOs in tow. To be less then 2/10s of second place is a huge credit to the guy! He beat more EVOs and GTRs then beat him. LSX-438, was that your best time on streets? It is absolutely moving to, curious to know what rubber you ran on, was it std Nissan rubbers? Is that about as good as you can get for the R35?
-
Maybe, not really the point even if the times are wront. That time in a rwd 2L car on streets is AMAZING! Nicholas Kalis_EVO_____1:44.3780 Jacky Yick _200SX_____1:45.1680 David Lord_EVO_______1:45.3740 Duncan Forrest_GTR__1:46.0600 Jason Naidoo _EVO___1:46.0870 ...acccording to Natsoft were the top 5!

Remember, if its worth doing....its worth doing in the ASS!
-
...AND, even worse then missing out on competing or being there is the copious amounts of piss and beer talk that will be taking place tonight!
-
Just copy the old BD4s MX-5. I mean AP brakes, AVO/HKS turbo kit...cheap motorsport
-
Jacky Yick must be top steerer and must have a decent car under him to humble all the lunar space modules around him.! hehe, i am kind of happy inside that a 2L rwd car on street tyres took it to the field of what i was expecting to be the R35 one make series with the Evos behind! What is hilarious is he would have been about 6-8 sec a lap quicker then me on the same tyres...FARK!
-
Who is the nutter in the 200SX that took it to the EVOs and R35 in Clubsprint! Amazing effort. All in all great effort and great times by the whole field it seems. Commiserations to those that have bent/broken things. Hats off to the Int'l guys, I am surprised therefore mega impressed by the speed of the cars! And before you take a shot Neil, no, they dont have to impress me, or should care what I think. I am just pointing out that I wasnt giving them enough credit with regards to how quick there were going to be!
-
Lets hope all the cars having troubles can all get out there and just eek a bit more out of their cars! And I just heard all I needed to Russ Jr (calling his Russ Jr as I just realised we have two Russ's driving black R32s, so Jr GTSt, Sr GTR ) has just pumped out a low 1:47s in his second last session! GO you good thing, get that std RB20 with a 2530 and about 220rwkws with off the shelf used Teins from Japan into the 46s!!!!!

Interesting, I need to go for a drive in a Vipec car that has had 1-3 hours of tuning. Be it Motec, Autronic, Microtech or Wolf (Never been in a car with a ViPec) the MAP sensed and tuned cars traditionally seemed to always require more dyno and road time to get the tune to the point where you got the drivability of the AFM Pfc and the fuel economy. I do believe about 75% of it is in the tune and 25% of it the ECU. So if the ViPec and some of the softeware allows it to be quickly tuned and accurately tuned then that is a big bonus.

Come on folks with iPhones. Hook us up!

Thats a good thing then...i cant believe your car still hasnt sold. It looks like a decent jigger, and good value at your asking price
