  1. What the fark am I doing wasting my time in a Force India? http://www.autosport.com/gallery/photo-large.php/dir/newsfeb2015/image/4105581ed8c45174e960b08145ddf9e9-4
  2. He now has his new car and think he is open to reasonable offers...but really need to inspect the car as you will be impressed with the condition
  3. Each to their own I guess but if its a street car that is only doing the occasional track day then frankly as long as its a reasonable quality semi synth oil can you really drive a car that hard on the road that a 10W-40 or 15W-50 or thereabouts is going to be an issue? When you do a track day, the 1-2 times a year ALWAYS put a fresh filter and sump of oil in the car. That't my practice. And frankly people saying run a cooler, keep it under 100deg....my experience is your oil temp will run over 100, more like 110-120deg c which is perfectly fine. Remember that the oil going through/around the cams and lifters is subject to far less shear and temp and only running at half the speed of the crank vsgoing through the mains and big end so you are only measuring the average oil temp on your gauge. The old wives tail , which seems to hold true on race cars is run the oil over 100deg c so any moisture/condensation, blow by gases etc dont stay entrained. How true that is I dont know...but of course those engines are purpose built and toleranced accordingly So that is the BS I tell myself and every time I go to the track I always run a genuine Nissan oil filter and Castrol 10W60. I love the viscosity, rape my engine with boost and revs and havent lost a bottom end. If you find on your aftermarket pressure guage you have 60psi at 7,000rpm with the oil up to temp with XX oil then I would be bumping up viscosity so that you are between 70-80psi
  4. Part of me is so annoyed with Ten. Part of me hates their coverage and often streams it anyway. Part of me doesnt understand why I feel a sport shoudl be on free to air....but , I guess if Ch 10 could cover a sport properly then the ratings and sponsors would come .... so .... yeh Ch 10 can eat a dick
  5. Yeh...canned it a few years back when it was costing me $110 a month but I am told they package deals differently now so will be cheaper for just sport and discovery which is all I ever watched. ...hopefully!
  6. How is the box size wise for the tunnel? Often looked at the Tremec and 350Z boxes as being cheap, strong solutions for 6 spds. Did have an R43 Getrag lined up to be modded but the parts to refresh it were too expensive
  7. I am getting close to calling you and doing something stupid My questions, and reason for posting vs calling as it may help other perspective buyers are: - body...is it the angle of pics or are the drivers side rear qtr and door etc different colours? Has the car had a hit at any time? - Related to above...I cant see any pictures of the areas where pop rivets have been used. Can you state where that has been done and post any pics.
  8. Man, where were the flags re the oil and the car off the road?
  9. Can't believe you guys find the time to drive your cars. I cant find enough time between drinking sessions to make it all the way to PI
  10. Was a cracking end to the race. Nissan were lucky there weren't any Vettes to whip em all! I think the lil Lotus got up too
  11. Yep...Rosberg will provide a Button-esque beating to Homo this year while he winges about why is the world against him. In the meantime Mercedes neogtiations break down and he is without a drive in 2016
  12. Giddy Up! That's the news I was waiting to read. Ok, reckon I am going to put $200 on Rosberg for 2015 WDC! It is all but in the bag!
  13. Yeh, read about the Yanks and their passion fingers How the hell this thing is going to work with the fuel regs will be interesting
  14. There was a time when Brendon Hartley was the golden boy of the Red Bull Young Driver Program. He got dumped when he simply couldn't consistently get the results to win a championship. So interesting that Red Bull have stated sponsoring him again this year. So that puts two drivers in Porsche Car 20 as wearing Red Bull sponsorship
  15. I think Ferrari and a few other teams are doing it as well.
  16. Best looking car Meanwhile...crazy Russian damaged the only front spoiler that RBR have so is running laps without it...lol not going to be a very productive day
  17. yeh, oddly if they chose to they can through about 560 diffs and shafts I have wondered why a team has not done a backwards 919 with front engine and electric motors on rear wheels where you can really vector the torque for traction
  18. I look at the Nissan range of cars now and just sigh. Nothing in their line up appeals to me. Their GTR race program was at least cool, even though they struggle in GT3 form they sounded and were awesome n GT1 guise up against the Maseratis, Ford GT, Lambos, Astons etc etc.. Oh well. At least I still have the 919 and the C7 Vette in GT
  19. Nissan...I suppose you give your racing operations to the Poms you get awesome looking cars like this Leave it up to the Nissan folk in Japan and you get their 2015 abomination I have been doing some research for another holiday this year to include Le Mans again and after seeing this....um it certainly takes away the excitement I had for Nissan joining. Oh well, still have the main game and that is the 3 car Porsche team.
  20. Not the prettiest thing And sorry Nissan. Call me old fashioned but I nevber want to see a FWD car EVER WIN LE MANS! http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117546 Sorry Nissan. I hope it crashes and farking BURNS!
  21. RBR is cool. Good to see some testing liveries
  22. So many major and minnow teams with mo sponsors. Way to go CVC. AWESOME!
