  1. Personally, i think get the fronts and then play a game of wait and see. To improve stopping distances tyres and suspension are perhaps more important then the actual brake hardware. Since you are doing some track work and street driving i think AP 4 pot rears with big rotors is a premature. See how the std rears go with sme good pads and then make the tough decision. Personally i think the weight distribution, suspension geometry, vehicle weight and CoG is all significantly different between the Commodore and R32 so wouldnt guess that what works for one will work for the other. What wheels have you sussed? Before paying for the APs touch base with me...i may have a far cheaper and equally good solution
  2. Well Webber gets a 10 place penalty for an engien change. IF RBR had any thinkers they woudl buy him well into the top 4 with a light fuel load. Get him to start the GP in say 13-15th with the pnealty, pit him early and have a long second stint where most of it will be free of traffic so he can get some net time. He can make up some early positions with a light fuel load in the early laps of the race, and then for the last 15 laps or so he will again be light on fuel with fresh tyres so can have some pace.....but RBR dont seem to be one for tactics...very stale approach to their racing That is provided Webber can get into Q3
  3. BUMP, seems they have not been the fit we had hoped for on Sabbais car. Need them gone, negotiable on price, can do with or without the tyres.
  4. As the end of September has now come and gone, if you want this stuff it has the be collect from tom_g slightly north-west of Melb city. Need to get my rubbish out of his place...so talk to me regarding prices. There is an interested party from NSW but will be a matter of first to give a genuine commitment will get it all. Willing to throw the RB25DET bottom end in with the sale of the complete RB25DE as the bottom end will probably be better for higher power as it has oil squirters etc etc If needed can even supply RB25 crank and rods all recently rebuilt for a sleeper looking RB20 that is effectively an RB26 internally Oh Tom, thanks for the pics. I feel sick looking at all the stuff i have left at your place. Go on, call me a carnt Where are the pics of the car with the Regas ?
  5. Well an e WDC just made the point i made months ago about how Lewis refusing to accept that their could be merit in what some of his detractors are saying. He doesnt honestly believe he is making mistakes etc...they are jsut racing incidents or someont/something was to blame "He's been thrown in very young and been told for many years that he's the best in the world," the winner of 11 Grand Prix said. "At some point you end up believing that and I guess that happens to most drivers at some point in their careers." He started off on the right foot...but suspect Ferrari are not showing their hand yet
  6. LOL, interesting that you post a car from RaceCarsDirect as there is a car on there which i will be looking at when i land, its been for sale a while and price has no budged so hope its still for sale when i arrive. Porn is all i will say, exy, but it is a geeza's dream car
  7. Come on Count, look at the prices. I make legal drugs, not sell the dodgy kind Oh, and who sings that song, i wa only asking the other week and nobody could answer?
  8. Well my tip for this weekend is Hamo. Surely he cant choke again this weekend? Perhaps my tip will mean he crashes out in a good case of brain fade. Come on Kubz, from out of nowhere liek Kimi last year...YOU CAN DO IT!
  9. Funny you post that. Rowdy down here in Vic had a white R32 GTR shell that was possibly able to be registered, body was in good nic and only wanted $3,500 for it. I contacted the crashed white R33 guy as i was thinking for less then 20k i woudl have had a pretty decent basis for a reliable track R32....but then reality kicked in That S14 is real nice. If i could find a similar white car with nice mods and rego for sub 20k i woudl seriously consider it. I prefer S14s over S15s funnily enough
  10. There was a 94 or something C4 for sale a while back that was dressed up tp look like a 72 RSR...SO HORN! Late model running gear and interior in oh so cool 70s panels
  11. http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=10300
  12. Get him to host them on a torrent site so we con download decent quality
  13. There is a nice black 993 GT2 Porsche for sale for someting like 70k. Oh to dream. As for your GTR Jack, it is pristine...but i fear that like me yo uwill be destined to keep that car forever
  14. I spot every day of my miserable life shit loads of tuk-tuks, sometimes with 6-8 kids in them
  15. Honestly, having running std rotors, old school DBA rotors, new/current design DBA rotors and RDA rotors....if there is nothing wrong with your std rotors then keep them. If they are undersized then sure replace them...but if they are ok thickness wise then keep them. Speak to your local brake shop to see if they can do $100 worht of machining some slots in them. It may be viable. The more i see of DBA and RDA rotors they are a cheap replacement rotor, not really great replacement rotors. The DBA 4000 series arent too bad for sporting driving but thats about the limit of them. RDA, well you get what you pay for and if you start to throw lots of heat through them i dont think they do as good a job as std or DBA rotors. Just an opinion....not a fact Just ensure you run a good performance pad and good brake fluid. Pad feel is veyr much a case of driver preference so you may have to try a few until you find some you like.
  16. lol, the theory is if your car isnt performing as well as another car then it means you cant drive as good as the other guy
  17. Looking at the onboard with Massa on Bourdais i think it jsut shows that it was a racing incident. I can see why Massa thinke he had the corner and i can completely understand why Bourdais thinks he had enough space on teh inside to hold his position. Nobody was at fault....after seeign that on board angle i think Massa shoudlnt be crucified for the move...but Bourdais should NOT have been penalised. As for the Massa/Lewis thing, watching a few more on boards i can also see why Massa tried to hang in there, he shoudl have braked at the last second and got out of it but cant blame the guy for trying to hang in there when he was off line and still in the corner. Anyway, i think its all been said before. But good on Massa for not being a lap dog that Lewis can drive all over. Lewis has trodden dangerous ground by racing so aggressive, from time to time he may have to cop a few hits on the chin. Makes for good racing though
  18. People keep telling me that a Cossie as a daily driver is a bad idea LOL i will have to suck it and see, it has to be better then the TVR which is the other option. Wouldnt dare track it, the GTSt is a relatively cheap banger for that...whether i want to get a proper track car or keep playing with a compromised weekend club / street car is the big questions?!?!?!
  19. So cool, only i wouldn thave a clue how to drive one of those understeerings cops quickly
  20. That loosk so sweet. I am forever looking for a neat 1200 Coupe or Mk1 Escort...but these days the decent ones fetch good money so Though good if you currently own one
  21. Yeh was meaning to ask the Beer Baron whether you can import a late model Type R NSX!?!? I am working in India at the moment and the plan is to spend some time in Europe next year with work. But if a car is going to be ready for me when i return i have to really start thinking about it now. Odds are i will just stick with my GTSt as a track car and get a cool daily. (Cossie ) But am keeping my eye out for an opportunistic buy. That R33 has been for sale for a while and it seems a well built and neat car which is the most appealing thing for me. I love RX7s, problem is unless the seat is mega low i dont think i would fit in one Is it registered? Because thats the big thing, lots of nice cars but very few are registered
  22. Agree...but i think the thing was Webber was so far over he just assumed Massa was going to go outside, not the inside. Remembering that the mirrors are for no real purpose other then cosmetics. I think once Webber realised he was indeed coming up the inside he stopped moving over. But it was a pretty dangerous situation. Yeh Kubz...look at the championship points and he is the most deserving. The two in front are makign hard work of the whole situation and not worthy in my eyes, especially in light of Kubz's efforts and consistancy
  23. Who knows, Massa may have tagged Lewis intentionally. Personally i suspect it was a matter of all or nothing on Massa's part. Right there was the his championship shot if Lewis got by and cleared out...so he put him to the test to see if he left him any room or was scared wide when the red car loomed by his sidepod. It was a desperate move but i dont think he intentionally punted him. f he was aiming for him he woudl not have take so much infield with him But Lewis must know that his honeymoon is over. People are putting him to task. His aggressive moves on people, even people he is not directly racing and easily passing means that from here on in he may not be shown the same courtesy in traffic or when side by side as the likes of Kubica, Alonso, Heidfeld and Kimi etc show other drivers. Ou reap what you sew. He just stuffed up almost as badly as he did in China last year. He simply couldn’t handle going into turn 1 in 4th or 5th (Still ahead of Massa). He needed to try and win the race on turn 1 after having tanked the start
  24. The call on Bourdais is completely wrong. And the Lewis penalty is wrong as well. A driver broke too late and ran wide and forced a few cars to avoid an accident. This has been std issue turn 1 stuff for decades in all classes. They were both racing incidents! But i suppose i can kind of see that Lewis recklessly jammed it in there but there wasnt real contact or race endign stuff so ??
