  1. Of the last 7 WDCs decided at the last round of the season, the points leader into that round has only one once. So the statistics suggest that Massa is a firm possibility I cant remember if it was seven, but something like that. I think MS was the last guy to win going into the last round with a points lead...and we all know what he had to do
  2. Yeh ditto. I lean on (use ) friends palces for lots of my work. One friend is good enough to le tm euse space and tools at his workshop and all i seem to do is tread on and damage stuff that he is trying to fix at his place of business ....
  3. Its convenient, my take with me everywhere workshop
  4. But would prefer they be legal enough for driving around on. Need to confirm guard clearance
  5. How do you find the Tein RA vs the Bilsteins? Better? Worse? Also, how much for a modified rear cradle for a GTSt/GTR, including fresh arms? I wouldnt mind re-co'ing the rear end in my car with all fresh arms, fresh wheel bearings etc. Also need to find a way to replace the rod end off the HICAS as mine are stuffed and Nissan want $400 odd for replacement ball joints. Its not so much the money, but surely there is a better, perhaps more durable way????
  6. Well his M3 was running slicks and similar times. So i guess the GTR was running slicks as well if he was a bit disappointed and thought there was still several seconds in it
  7. I cant see them putting fuel in him as that will throw him to the back and at the mercy of other drivers and racing. He is better going light and getting a jump and playing the rabbit, only to worsst case be caught out with a longer ful run in the last stint and droppng a few positions. I can see a lot of his rivals punting it up the inside of him, showing little respect for him as he will haev to yield as they know he cant really afford to get caught up in any silly business. At the same time i dont think any other driver wants to be remembered as the guy that took Lewis out...but they will all know that he wont defend to hard when up alongside or under brakes into turn 1-3
  8. Ok, so waiting for a buyer to pick up the comlete RB25DE and RB25DET bottom end...so looks to be sold. The RB20 HKS Cams are sold Waiting on EFT to clear for the HKS manifold and gate...so looks to be sold So really only leaves the RB26 bottom still for sale.
  9. I rang him and had a quick chat...will follow up with an email soon. Looking forward to getting the car neat again. Just hope i dont fark up his hard work like i did Troy's after the last re-spray.
  10. I think i will do a hutn aroudn forums and used tyre places this weekend to see if i can buy a used set. May be easier
  11. BEST WHEEL EVER! Shame they never came in 18s or 9.5" for the rear. Oh well just means i get to rotate track tyres
  12. Is there an email addy for Mick? I am os and need to drop him a line re some work on my "Field car"
  13. Yeh once the car is finished i will be buyibg some 18" rims for the street. Will be either satin black FR18s or bronze TC105s. If the TC05s i have fit then the new RE30s i have at my desk in Melb will get flogged off. I regret buying new rims which before i have had a chance to fit have become common Opps OT. How about a well designed wheel will cool brakes better then a 18" chromie wheel
  14. Actually, i get confused, they are the same as my old ones, only wider. Are they TC05 or TC005. I know the TC105 are the latest but i always confuse the TC05 and TC005 although they look nothing a like
  15. That trailer is nicer then the place i am living in over here in India
  16. meh...anything but "crate" motors from your local japanese wrecker for $400 is overkill
  17. TX5 Scott has my car and Jarrod/Ryan have my collection of wheels:) Just need to sweet talk them into fitting the wheels and then getting it down to the panel beaters Then the shitty part starts, paying for more panel work
  18. Can you use the pineapples in conjunction with the alloy bushes to angle the cradle? I already have the cradle angles and the improvement in traction is perhaps the main reason why my 260rwks R32 hooks up so well. I have your alloy bushes to go in, but i dont want to move the cradle back to the std orientation...so much so i was going to sell the alloy bushes and just buy Nismo replacement cradle bushes and use the pineapples to align the cradle at the desired angle
  19. Any pass is a pass...but certainly wasnt pretty
  20. Just remember, its hardly a celebration if you dont wake up with a few scars Enjoy your day
  21. Does andody have some 255/17 tyres i can borrow, or some 245/17 semi slciks? They do not have to be roadworthy, i just need them for the panel beater to check guard clearance with the new offset rims i have. Std issue bribe of a case of beer to whoever can help me out, or even if someone knows who may have some for sale cheaply
  22. I dont have anything new to add as next week it will have been 12 months since i have tracked the car But, a comeback better then ever is shaping up nicely for the new year Sandown Raceway Phillip Island I so need more laps at this place. Everytime i look at the vid i see wrong gears, bad lines So many places to improve DECA Motorkhana I DECA Motorkhana II
  23. Who do i have to blow to get that to happen I would be the happiest bloke in the country if they teamed up and gave it a good shake. Perhaps if Skaife keeps him bum in the seat from time to time he can have the motivation required for the big two races a year. I dont think pace is a problem, but what he has said about his head being elsewhere makes sense with how he goes walk about in the races
  24. I have no idea. The workshop i use for tuning is doing something right as he gets great results out of std cams. My car was on Dr Drifts dyno and i think it made 20rwkws more then any other std cam RB20 he had run before. Not sure if it was 20rwkws, but was soemthing like that. That was almost 2 years ago so he may have seen some more decent RB20s come through the workshop. But i have to say if i was going to try cams it would be the Tomei 256 jobbies. Some also have good results with the HKS, but i just sold my set as i was not willing to spend the dollars experimenting when what i have already works well enough for me. LOL, did i ramble enough? Real answer is fark knows It woudl be interesting to see you do a proper before/after comparison on the same dyno and same tuner. It seems Dr Drift got good reslts with the Tomei....but more cars getting the same result would be nice
  25. 260rwkws at 18-19psi. I have run 22psi in it, but i dont think there is much more power in it. Shit load more midrange, but ultimately about the same top end power The red line was with some cams i tried, the amount of ignition we were able to wind into the engine suggested that the cams were simply too big for the little RB20 with a small TD06 8cm on it. Cams were Apexi 260/8.8mm The std cams work pretty well, with over 240rwkws from 130km/h to 185km/h
