  1. Actually Mav is a good idea...will ring JB Marybinong
  2. Quick question , i will be intering Open Class. Minor hiccup is the requirement for FIA approved seat. I have carbon/kevlar Momo race seats whose FIA compliance have expired. I have also considered buying new seats, and considering VELO Viper seats which despite their $900 price tag are not FIA complant like the $1200 Velo Apex which is basically the identical seat. So, FIA compliant seat...this means no std seats used with harnesses in Open Class? But looking forward to this. Since last year have been looking forward to this.
  3. Bugger, was hoping you were going to have trouble, as i was going to buy both seats the second my Gram Lights sold
  4. But come on guys, he does make some good points with regards to the GTRs that ran around in the Japanese series. I personally believe the Gibson cars were quicker, just like the Shell Sierras in 1992 would have been the quickest Sierras anywhere in the world. But all he is really questioning is the sentiment that the GMS cars were clearly quicker then the factory and the notion that GMS developed the GrpA R32 for Nismo and fed the factory Japanese cars with parts...There is truth to it, but the scale of involvement is whats being questioned
  5. Is there any decent audio places that people can recommend around Melb? Do not want anything exotic, just need some neat/reasonable quality splits for the front. 6.5" speakers for the rear parcel shelf and a small amp to drive them off my existing deck. Most importantly is sound quality and weight...thoughts on brands/places?
  6. FArK, thats the second time i have just missed out on a tailshaft and cross member
  7. Its the approximate date for the next Superlap, where it looks like my old basher will be returning for a play...finally Ready to kiss the wall onto the straight
  8. Offers? The car is doing the merry go round around workshops at present and would be good to use cash from sale of stuff to help cover costs
  9. It is called drving normally. It requires throttle modulation rather then just floorg it
  10. Snowy, interesting question. Do you think the car will be about the same overall, quicker, slower?
  11. Holy shit! Hnda pulling out of f1? http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Business/..._Of_Formula_One Massive news if true. I wonder what Button thinks of his long term deal now
  12. Well if you will do both seats for even swap with the Gram Lights, with each of us paying for the shipping of our own goods. ie i will pay for wheel shipping to Bris, you pay for seats to Vic. Any pics of the compliance sticker that shows when its FIA compliance expires and also the size of the seats? I will check it against the size of my old Cobra Evolution seat
  13. Perhaps, but i have been in plenty of cars with Super Streets and they are really ncie on the street, though still twin tube in design. The Monotube are obviouly monotube in design, and at the end of the day...it all comes down to seat of the pants preference. With off the shelf Bilsteins they are great quality and to the liking of some/many, but they cannot be tweaked by the driver to suit your ride height desires and ride changes
  14. I think Bilsteins would be the way to go for durability. But for all round choice for you GTR i woudl grab some Tein Monoflex
  15. Does look great, though looks wierd not having anything hanging out through the opening in the bar. May have to glass it back to teh radiator so you dont see light through there. Tell me where to write a 10k checque for the conversion and i will post it off....only i know it woudl cost way more then 10k All it needs to be truly toss worthy is a close ratio box and a big silly cam to make the thing nice and peaky and make good top end. LOL, i seem to like spending money making cars slower
  16. Another picture
  17. A few peole waiting to find the money but i need these wheels gone asap
  18. And having been a passenger and driven your car i cant say i agree with Cerbera about the scary or the super impressive. The car was damn quick, but i was surprised by how doughy the thing was and then when it came on it was very linear...its didnt really hit. Didnt drive like i expected as it didnt have that god almighty rush in the top end that paid back for the patience you needed to show to get it on song
  19. The FD looks damn tempting but its just a tad too much money for a car that wont be scary to drive
  20. Quick bump as i need these gone pretty quickly to get them out of where they are being stored and free us some cash. Make an offer and see what mood i am in on the day
  21. The only R33 to have a 6 spd was the R33 GTR LM which was originally a 6spd sequential. Was changed to a 5 psd H-pattern for reliability reasons. It also happened to be a real car as it was RWD and 2.8L I did a real bried write up a while ago from some articles in Racecar Engineering Clicky Here
  22. For durability you cant go past Bilsteins
  23. Would you be interested in swapping for a set of Rays Gram Light 57Pro wheels, 17x9, 17x8? Thought it might be worth asking...either way a free bump for some killer seats
