  1. dont forget my shopping list
  2. Are you sure that particular vid was with the car in rwd? It looks pretty stable for the grunt it would have running the TO4Z? If it is rwd then the lap time looks a lot better then the time you did to win the event and you should really start setting up rwd cars as it looks epic on the power down in 2nd gear and 3rd gear quick stuff
  3. Hey Mr Trickle, dont you take every blind corner with the foot flat!
  4. Handbags belts out 36s at Winton and 17s at Oran Park. But his car is not exactly easy to use as a yard stick because the thing is such a wild thing to drive. So may be worthwhile considering a GT Production STI used to run 1:33 at Winton and at OP they run 1:16

  6. It is a shame that Larry has moved away from team ownership. I had hoped the Kelly clan had partnered up with Larry, good engineering, good drivers and good budget means that they would have been able to get back to the top...i am such a Larry fan. Was it the 93 Adelaide F1 street race where he drove like a madman? 94 Bathurst opening laps in the wet with Brock sliding all over the shop
  7. Please dont tell me 1+1 = what i think it may?
  8. So have to ask was the DR30 Gavins car? Hs he sold it, has it been taken back to Grp A spec or is it still got non homologated turbo etc. It seems Seto definitely put on a show with it. Is there any broadcse plans for the races? I would love to see the footage
  9. I would serously be speaking to a specialist motorsport place who engineer braking systems for race cars.
  10. Looks like i will have to consider spraying as the buyer wants to hold off until after xmas and the other buyer changed his mind, so...
  11. You would be right...and there is no way i will ever be under 85kgs so
  12. Meh, i have 35k burning a hole in my pocket. To buy a daily driver and go silly with my cheap club GTSt or keep my GTSt as it is as a fun daily and buy a serious track car that will keep me truly broke all my life. For the R33 i would probably dig into the sensible savings fund for some more dosh, but will most likely still be short of any asking price. Especally since they have started development on it , so looks like Irish would win the tussle. But i like the idea of a match off...i can be pretty special when i disconnect my brain
  13. Looking at the brands you are and budget, i say you are mad to move away from the Bilsteins...std they are decent enough things, and if you talk to the right people then there are plenty of room for improvement. If not for Racepace and their ability to do good things with certains models of Teins i would have definiteyl kept my Bilsteins as places like Heasmans, Quadrant, Tru Track, Centreline, East Coast supension are all pretty reputable workshops who when you speak to about shocks with a 2-3k budget will most likely recommend Bilsteins for your Skyline
  14. Watching that vid for about the 5th time it seems the R33 requires a lot less lock then your old R32. It seems to point better with less push, is that just luck of the draw, setup or somehting you commented about the setup that you are looking to change?
  15. I so want that car more then ever now. Awesome in car vid of an awesome driver/car combo! I wonder how mnay years i will have to slave away in developign countris to affors your asking price So first time out i know it would be hard to say, but do you think the R33 could ultimately be as fast/faster then the R32?
  16. Hang on, wasnt the R32 sold? If so does that mean i my favourite R33 won ?
  17. 35 profile? So you are still running road tyres as i was not aware of a semi that comes in such a low profile? Interesting point, but my car has never struggled for understeer, the way i have it set up it really is a tad oversteery if anything
  18. LOL, was tired when posted thread. I want a matching set of wheels. After farkign around with so many sets the past 12 months looking for brake and guard clearance, this is what i have decided i can run without too much stuffing aroudn with guards. Front. 17 x 9 +30, R33 GTR rims can be used and guards easily lipped to clear them. For the rears my old 17x9.5 +38 were almost perfect for the rear. Again , a little lipping and rolling of guards it would have plenty of clearance I want to run 245/17 front tyres and 255/17 rear tyres. Ideally want to run the same set of rims, but i cant find anything that is forged and in the sizes i am after. Looks like i will grab the first set of rears i can find (TE37, LM GT4, RPF1 etc, plenty of choices) and run R33 GTR rims on the front. I have a set of 17 x 9 +20 which i think will be ok on the rear but front isnt going to play ball. But at least this means i can run 245 all round and rotate tyres based on wear...lol but i would prefer the 9.5" out back and 255 tyre
  19. Buyer is off finding the dollars and has told me if somebody else is interested in them then to sell them, so not exactly sure how firm his offer is....so anybody?
  20. JEEBUZ! Interesting to see how it goes after a tune. How many psi was it running...still a std RB20 right?
  21. I am after a good quality forged 17x9 rim with offset of between +28 and +30. About the only thing i can find is the std R33 GTR rim. I nee 9.5 rears, but it looks like i will have to go with odd front to rear rims so i can get the sizes i want. Any wheel groupies out there know of a brand?
  22. Hmm. Nick is the only one to have made a sensible post...so Nick I want a Nismo twin. Have driven two cars with them and i dont think i want anything else...but will touch base with Ben if by Jan the yen hasnt crashed.
  23. Let them keep their carbon doors etc, it means when I t-bone them the leg they use to stand on the loud pedal wont work so well But i joke, but that is my concern for cars running funny doors and windows. If they have carbon doors they NEED to have CAMS "inspected" cages with side intrustion! No car that is slower then a V8 Sueprcar but quicker then an old Group A car should be able to short change such a huge safety issue. Especially at a place like OP where side intrusion and roll over are a bigger concern then perhaps normal. I will also add the Clerk or Course was a nice guy and very experienced, but perhaps did not take the event seriously enough last time based on his reponse to one car running into another.
  24. Duncan, have you seen the latest batch of electronic kills? Was reading about them on the weekend and they are obviosuly more expensive but far easier to install and far more reliable then the cable type. They are also now cheaper then they used to be
