Yeh, i was watching the 1990 and 1991 races over the weekend. The sport feel the loss of guys like Skaife and Perkins. Skaife in 05 at 97, coming into the factory frey after the country's best touring car driver was left with an empty dance card come the failure of GMS and lack of money from Sega. Skaife's incar footage is easily the most entertaining. Watching him wrestle the Sega Commodore around Sandown, the 05 Commodore around Bathurst for pole. I hope a season on the side line will seee him get the hunger and i hope that he comes back. LOL after all i still need him and Seto to win Bathurst

Jee-zus Tittyf**king Christ Nick! What can i say but your car looks MEGA! Nice work. So many top R32s running around the club now....the bar keeps getting raided What size are the wheels and tyres? I see the front guards lipped a little, was it hard work for the panel beaters?
-
Some more info on the actual damage, kms the car has, what is the engine and gearbox like before accident?
-
Whats with the catch can setup in the engine bay? Can understand why you ran out of money , lots of big dollar parts there
-

Have two offers less then my asking price. One is sincere the other i think is window shopping (sorry if you read this and i am mistaken) Both are interstate buyers so if you are interested then make an offer. These rims will be getting sold by Wednesday at a good wack less then my asking price...so if you make a better offer before then most likely be yours

Be interesting to see how power is affected by trumpets? A friend that races BDA and Lotus Escorts is forever playing with trumpet design and geyying great results, mixed with bad

I just picked up some pf Race II. Poor Skaife, its killing me watching what he is going through. Good work by Seto...lol, look at those lap times. You wonder how quick Seto could go if given a set of tyres and a green light to have a real go

So anybody out at OP? Cant wait to see some photos of the Grp A/C cars. Seto is back behind the wheel of the DR30 and i read qualified well

R32 Master Cylinder Changeout
Roy replied to djr81's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
So has anybody found a 17/16 BMC that is 3 port for non ABS? I dont want to run a Patrol BMC as i read its larger and its already tight in there and different size will affect the Cusco stopper i run. LOL, so, i am thinking i may just buy a BM57 rebuild kit and bore out the BM44 i run. Two kill birds with the same stone -
Well i grabbed an exhaust off a car he was parting out....he is great to deal with. LOL so i doubt he is a trader Great car...and i dont normally like Gayside blue
-
Why are you getting rid of the Snow kit? Wold the jet size be suitable for the lowly RB20 I may just stick with the Shell 98 or the United fuel with ethanol as the car will still be seeing lots of street kms, and combine with with WI.

I think Button has given up the ghost, but i dont believe Rubens is comfortable just cruising around as he was there to pick up the peces when opportunity knocked. Button was cruising comfortable blaming the car....i dont think its a coincidence that Rubens was quicker this year. Also, i dont agree that Webber has lost his punch. I believe he is a bit too careful in traffic these days, something that was never the case in his Jaguar and first year at Williams. But the guy had a string of strong points scoring finishes up until British GP where it all stated to go pear shaped for the team

I need the rear parcel shelf off an R32 GTSt, needs to be complte with plastic grills. Also need the metal bracket that goes to the exhaust where the catalytic converter is that comes off the gearbox. Also looking for the centre dash fascia from an early model R32, complete with ash tray. Needs to be black from early model and in good condition with no broken clips...do not want the elephant scrotum ones like that in my 1992 R32 Needs to be willing to deliver to Melbourne, cannot arrange pick up

R32 Gtr Brake Upgrade Advice
Roy replied to LotusGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeh, at first i think you should just do a basic bedding of the new pads to the rotors. Nothing different to a normal pad swap. But more and more thinking about my own experiences and the metallurgy of it...the best thing you can do for track rotors is use them for a heap of street and spirited driving before really getting stuck into them at the track with gradually increasing load and temperature with cooling between. Even though rotors are heat treated, i think it pays to really heat cycle a new rotor before shocking it with heat and load at the track -
There are a few problems that i see. It is quite common in Japan, but the big drama is it gets fouled up rather quickly. Thankfully airflow does not stall through the element because it retains most of its velocity, but oil deposits from the oil intake, be it from breather recirc etc etc means tis best to keep it as close to the air filter as possible as there is less likely to be contamination and therefore get more accurate readings

Which Coilovers Brand Is More Durable?
Roy replied to evil angel's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Super Street. Have been in an R32 GTR with them and R33 GTS25T with them. Ride was sporty and compliant. And i dont believe the Teins will be durable as the Bilsteins but youl will still get an easy 50,000-80,000kms out of them based on the kms i have seen people getting from them -
Superlap 2009 Gets A Green Light!

Fark NO! Is it? Oh man...i think i will have to pick F1 over OP Superlap -
Thanks Rekin, but i already have a decent stereo i wired up about 8 years ago when i bought the car. I removed the 2 x 12: subs and Rockford amp when i started doign track work, and now my custom parcel shelf with 6x9s weighs too much. I want a small, lightweight amp to drive some 6.5" 3 ways or something bolted directly into the parcel shelf steel whcih is getting some carpet trim...and i want to remove the 6x9s i have in the doors, again for lighter 6.5" splits. Simplifying my stereo should make the car about 8-10kgs lighter

Ok, since Shell Racing 100RON is off the market, i will soon be getting my car retuned for another fuel and the E85 looks to be the best pic of pump fuels. Question is, given the properties and performance of the E85 fuel is there still any merit to running water/meth injection. I am not chasing more power as much as the ablity to wind more ignition into the car to help the little RB20 fills its lungs in the mid range

Superlap 2009 Gets A Green Light!
Roy replied to Superlap Australia's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Yeh practice day will be good. I have not driven my car at the track since October 2007 and i will be flying in from India to drive my car...so practice would be handy Andy I think it will be a good move to require the seats pass scrutineering and have proper provision for harness. Its a shame to spend $1000 on some brand new good quality seats that dotn have FIA compliance, likewise my Momo seat is Jason Brights race seat so obviously a decent quality seat, its just that its out of compliance. Count Hardcore took my Glen Seton seat that was still in compliance and his car has seen less track work then mine -
R32 Gtr Brake Upgrade Advice
Roy replied to LotusGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well, job well done then. Hope you have been doing plenty of road kms to get heat cycles into the rotors before stomping on them at the track Good to read you ended up with a package you are happy with. Now just to hear how DJ likes his F40s, i am curious to hear his thoughts as i really liked his F40s when on my car with the 324mm rotor -
I want the keys to the R31 that is in under wraps in Melbourne. The thing is so clean after its restoration....but i know the list of people who may be allowed to drive it and it isnt that long
